Personal Lifestyle Changes Due To Coronavirus

So are you guys changing your lifestyle due to Coronavirus?

My Pattaya lifestyle is extremely quiet to begin with but I'm thinking about cutting down even more on socializing, but I've cut down allot already since I'm slowly cutting down on drinking anyway.  I guess I could not go to bars at all anymore and run out to 7/11 and Friendship late at night.

My big decision is whether or not to go to Cambodia to teach.  While I certainly could use the money I make from teaching, it's not essential to me.  I know many of you just can't up and quit, so I'm lucky in that regard.

I am in Southern California. So far, as of this writing, I have not changed my lifestyle at all. I don’t go out much anyway, but this hysteria has made me wanna go out more.
There is no TP available anywhere around here where I have gone. I do not care. I have a bathtub in my bathroom. I hang me arse over the side and clean me arsehole with soap and water. It’s what I do in lew of a bum gun and it’s way better than TP.

I don't go out much while at home, in fact other than going to work, and doing my shopping, the only other time I cross the door is for my Saturday round of golf. I do like a few beers in the house of a Friday and Saturday night - went to Tesco on the way home from work on Friday to grab a case of beer, as usual. SOLD FUCKING OUT OF EVERYTHING. Local off-licence same, all they had left was some trendy micro brewery beer at £3 per bottle. You can work that up yer jacksie. I guess most people are now avoiding pubs for the next few weeks and going to drink at home. I see a lot of pubs, clubs and restaurants going out of business over the next few months if this continues. The ones who survive will likely be the large chains who have surplus reserves of cash and can ride it out. Of course then when things start normalising they will have little competition and overcharge to the max.

Ireland.

I've been working from home for the last week and will be for the foreseeable future. I'm counting my blessings that I have a job that enables me to to do that. I have a few friends who work in the hospitality industry and they are scared. I'd usually go to the pub on a Friday and Saturday but stayed home this weekend (Irish Gov't just asked all pubs to close until March 29). I'm now also probably going to postpone my trip to LOS in May and go in November instead.

So, yeah, massive lifestyle changes. Hopefully not for too long.

In most part of Europe its not much of a choice you can make right now. Some places are worse than where I'm at, our border is still open , you can go outside and and do basically what you could do before, but people choose to stay in, streets are empty. Going to a bar or restaurant is as about as popular as licking holy shrines.

No rimming of ladymen, but thats because there aren't any around. Now the brasilian shemales on the other hand....

I am booked for May also - currently not planning to change, but as this develops daily then obviously that may change. Give it a few weeks and see what happens!

Australia.

I am now retired and live alone in suburban Sydney and have not changed my routine at all as yet. Each day around 4pm I walk to the pub (not the closest to me but only 1.5 klm away) have a few beers with friends and walk back. I have not noticed any discernible change in patronage and in the streets only ever see very few people wearing masks and those mainly Asian.

As I have no car, I walk everywhere and go to the supermarket a couple of times each week and see evidence of panic buying as toilet paper & tissue shelves have been bare for a fortnight. (luckily I bought an 8 pack 3 weeks ago so have a few months supply as one roll lasts about 3 weeks).

At 62 I am not eligible for the aged pension as it is only available for me at age 67 and then subject to a means test. I am living off my superannuation pension which I built up over many years by salary sacrificing and topping up as much as I could. Since 25th Feb the balance in my super fund has dropped around 7-8% which hasn't concerned me too much but will do if it drops much further.

For the last couple of years I have done my traveling around May to July and would normally be booking something around now but will wait a while to see what happens elsewhere before deciding as I would like to get of here when the colder months of winter hit July to August.

I am able to work from home, but biz is definitely taking a bit of hit for me, but the F&B and retail here are getting killed, aside from grocery and pharmacies selling cleaning supplies and toiletries. I go out about 3 times a week, mostly for exercise or an occasional meal at an outdoor restaurant or bar. Since I'm in Asia in a place where it hit earlier, we've been through most of the toilet paper shortages and such and most are back, but at an increased price. We do wear masks here because of previous health crises and because it's very urban and most people use public transportation, which is normally very crowded, but not for the past month.

I haven't punted since mid-Feb in BKK.

My ladyboy used to think I'm crazy for saving up like 20 boxes of mac and cheese for emergencies since she likes her food freshly cooked.

But currently I have 3 20lb bags of rice, 20 boxes of kraft mac and cheese, some dried fetuccine, pasta sauce and some canned beans.

Probably enough to last me a month. Not doing too good on meats and fruits as its perishable.

As for my ladyboy she hasn't had a hormone injection in about 10 days as we're out of syringes but I think not getting sick is the bigger priority. Other meds like ibuprofen, acetomenophin and aspirin.. I have a bottle each.

I also have a theory.. since I had MERS after travelling through an Emirates flight which made me really really sick for a week (and I dont generally get sick).. I may be immune to Covid-19 but I'm not eager to test out that theory obviously.

London:

I'm retired so I don't need to travel on public transport in peak periods. I stayed in all weekend, except for trip to LIDL supermarket which was packed so I didn't go in.

It was sunny today so I walked there again this morning, not packed but lots of empty shelves. Plenty of meat though so I bought 3 steaks for freezer. Walked to Sainsburys, empty shelves there too but I bought a loaf of bread which I was out off, will freeze it in bags of 4 slices, which will last me a week. I always have some canned salmon, frozen burgers and veg in the freezer so I have enough food to get me through at least a week.

I've noticed a number of people with face masks on, I didn't see any last week. I'll probably stay at home the rest of this week, the weather forecast isn't good. If there is some sunshine I might go out and see if I can get some eggs. Otherwise I'll get by with what I have until next week.

I'm watching even more of the Crime & Investigation Channel than I do in los!

Well i am semi-retired still run a small business at home and on ebay which has picked up in the last week

went to an auction last week spent too much, will this be my undoing, was over in Essex, so much more virus around London than in rural Wales.

I have changed my life style, did not go cricket nets on friday and did not attend umpire seminar on Sunday, will not go to denist or doctor for blood test next week.

Went to shops today - why are people so daft, why buy toilet rolls - have not heard the answer to this one yet. It meant at Aldi I could only buy 4 small cat food, crazy they had loads.

Hopefully will calm down in a week when people realise the supple chain is ok.

I will work from home, use the computer, watch netflix/amazon & TV, read my kindle and slowly go up the wall if I am to stay here for 3 to 4 months.

If I get it well , we will see how that goes, I am in the top 5-10% to meet my maker!

So yes my life is changing a great deal.

...buy food online...and watch free premium pornhub especially dedicated to red zones as Italy...my working places have been closed by authorities...I paint all day..and masturbating to death..I guess a heart attack due to intense wank will kill me..not the virus... I'm getting paranoid with Japanese femboys...damned...they're too sexy

Just got back to New York last night.  Penn station at 700 pm is usually a hive of activity.  Last night it was dead.  When here in Farangland I dot go out much but I have gotten in the habit of going out once per day for food, errands etc.. I will try that today and see what happens.  I will stop at the grocery store for some bits and bobs so will see how that is.  Oh yeah I happened to have only 2 rolls of TP-DOH!!!  I actually stuffed two rolls into my carry on back from Bangkok.

Things are crazy but have a feeling it might get that much crazier........

I just received a call from the receptionist at my local Dentist where I had a appointment for tomorrow and also to finish the work another appointment for two weeks time. I have just been told that all appointments are now cancelled for the foreseeable future and they will let me know if and when things change. My reply to the receptionist when She told me this was, that's fine I completely understand and to wish them all to be safe at this time.

You know it’s strange as I have some major bone graft surgery scheduled in a couple of weeks. I actually want to have it for a couple of reasons one of which it will give me a lot of hours I can take from my sick bank. Might as week use a lot of them now. No sense saving it and it will provide me with a nice paycheck for one month at least. The way this looks, it looks like I will take yet another major pay cut that is if the furloughs DONT reach  me, which is entirely possible.

Besides work closing last Friday my daily routine hasn’t changed very much.  I seldom go out at the weekends so that wasn’t an issue, and I tend to avoid bars on Paddy’s Day so not missing anything in that regard today.  For the past two weeks or so I have been carrying a small dettol spray and a cloth in my coat pocket.  Any time I leave a shop, atm etc I give my hands a quick zap of the detergent.  I spray the cloth and wipe down the handles of supermarket trollies and baskets before I use them.

Sydney, Straya

Late posting - was living in Patts for past 10 years, off and on. No super or much savings but a steady income stream from property (shops & suites). Of course the arse fell out of that just after I came home for usual time with kids. Then I needed bypasses, again! Had that earlier this year and that cost even with good health cover. So, all hollow logs now emptied and in hock to family too mutt!. How can this happen, I thinks to meself? Now I understand what parents went through in the Depression.

Tried to get on the pension online - what a fucking trial that was. Dealt with some robot "how can I help you?". responded with foul language over a month of trying. Stupid thing kept telling me my Tax File Number was "not your tax file number" for starters. Finally got onto a human being at Tax office who had a look and then pointed out I had changed my residential address from adjacent property I owned to next door, i.e. from 9/xxxxx to 10/xxxx fucking thing. Robots are fucking dunces! After that I gets to assets & the robot dunce says I need to file company shit, e.g., balance sheet! (That's where my income came from a partnership every year). If you don't have one then fuck off & starve! My accountant told me I don't file such things cos it's a simple division of income between me & the kids. Try telling that to a fucking computer! The fuckwit who designed the 40 page form needs a fucking bullet in the head!

Couldn't go down to the closest pension office because the queues are miles long and COVID-19 was rampant. Shove your fucking pension up your arse, Minister Roberts and your sneering P.M. can then recycle it through his too!

Wait! There's more but I'm too stressed to continue. Will visit the DEPARTMENT in the next few weeks - those bastards are going to get an earful!!!!!!

p.s. We need a bloke like the Pom's have got as per comment before mine.

My lifestyle has somewhat got better as it happens.

In August I went to Gumbet(Turkey) for 12 nights, its a country I would have never considered going to if my Spanish holiday had not had to be cancelled.

I liked it that much that I am now due to fly out again (two weeks today) for another 12 nights. B)

I have also booked a 4 night City break in Krakow (Poland) in November.

So life ain't that bad and travel is still possible, even with this damm Virus. :vampire:
