Other factors like a properly working aircon, decent music at a normal decibel level, cold beer and reasonably priced drinks also come into it ofcourse, but the main factor remains the line-up. The reason our drinks are substantially cheaper than other gogo's in the area is because we benefitted from 80% rent discount and substantially lower staff wages when we re-opened after Covid in June 2022. At the time we decided to pass these savings on to the customer. What we then found was that the low beer prices attract customers that we have not seen before and they often stay for a 2nd or 3d drink, possibly buying a ladydrink or two. Our rent + wages are now back to pre-covid levels and given all the price hikes/talk of raising VAT etc, I'm not sure for how much longer we'll be able to keep the prices on the low level they currently are.
