  1. a couple more photo's to come methinks... But here's a quick report. The place was buzzing from around 8.30 to well past midnight. Teya of course was her usual self, god knows how many drinks she was bought. She made sure that everyone who arrived were welcomed, even when she could hardly stand up... Late on we got a bit of a Teya show to no-ones surprise really! Sara almost stole the show, lovely kid is Sara. She worked hard all night with never a frown, in fact all the time i have known her she has always been a happy soul. I don't think she knows how to be otherwise. Standing room only at times, even very late, midnight-ish people were coming as other bars closed, from the DD Inn, Red Carpet bar, and others i didn't know. Emmy of course was her usual gracious self, even when she was yakking Teya! ex-Katty staff on the scene, and i apologise if i forget any... August, and Didi with Bell, now learning nursing. Farah and mates too. other highlights of the night, and i hesitate to use 'highlight' but it's got to be reported... JImbo's new fluorescent red shoes..... they are crackers indeed.... the rumour soon got around that they must have been a christmas present from someone who doesn't like him. I'm sure that when the night got darker Emmy made him stand in the middle of soi 3 to act as a beacon for people who didn't know where the bar is. A bit like an upside-down lighthouse. one more thing... and i know some may disagree, we had a guest of pure class for a lot of the evening. Absolute class. Yes, the now retired superstar herself, which is a name she truly deserves. She was looking wonderful, superstar indeed. you know who i mean? yes... LILY WAS THERE.

  2. I think the context of lockdown really boils down to how it hurts the individual (outside of the obvious economic disadvantages). What I mean by that is; I would say I wouldn't be too far off the mark in saing a lockdown isn't too much of a hardship for any of us guys here in the LBR forum. We almost have a self imposed quarantine even at the best of times - none of us are anti-social, but are all happy in our own company on any given normal day. We don't really need social interaction, and I know I am not just speaking for myself when I say we are quite willing to avoid people on a daily basis. Therefore, any enforced lockdowns or quarantines are almost irrelevant, we do that ourselves anyway. But there are people out there whi lockdowns affect very deeply. My older sister and her husband rely on being social animals, it is a major part of their livelihood. Not being able to freely see their daughters, grandchildren, family and friends for a prolonged period of time is extremely tough for them and I suspect many more are in the same boat. So when arguments and debates take place around the rights and wrongs of lockdowns, I certainly don't take sides, as I can understand all the various elements involved.

  3. Thank you everyone for coming to Teiya's birthday party last night. And I have bad news to let you all know that All bars in Pattaya must be closed from today. Because about COVID 19 again!! My bar has to close as well. When the bar can be open again I will notify everyone here. Thank you very much Emmy

  4. "Webcam Model of the Year" , lol. Well, i suppose i should thank you Rom, but really the girls get waaay more drinks than i do. I think i only get some out of pity! I'm sure all of us at Sweethearts, especially barowner of the year, Youngone, will be delighted to receive your awards. However the ceremony looks as though it's on ice again, judging by the Governor's pronouncements this morning that we're back into lockdown!

  5. As of this post, my previous one (yesterday!) had not received any +1s and was followed by death silence, which can only mean BMs are uneasy with the idea of me pulling Jimbo’s leg … Apologies to all. “Pulling one’s leg”, as they say in Britain, means teasingly joking someone, but I realize not everyone gets British idioms or my understated British sense of humour. Including it seems the Board’s Brits… Like now: Did you get it when I underscored how the Board’ Brits don’t get British sense of humour? … or just just now when I spelled it out for them? … It’s funny guys! Uncomfortably funny for some BMs if coming from me…but funny enough for those BMs who have no bromance feelings for Jimbo… (and I did it again!...) Ohhhhh fuggedaboutit and back to the Romscars. There is one more Romscar left to award: the prestigious Bar Owner of the Year Romscar, which said leg-pulled Jimbo won in 2018 even though he was not the owner at TJ’s (encore!)… Seriously folks, the Romscars Bar Owner of the Year is the one Romscar I don’t ask for BMs inputs because BMs tend to (understandably!) be faithful to their long-preferred bar choices and ignore what happened in the current year in other bars. For example: if I leave it up to LBR BMs, Emmy’s bar will win Bar of the Year every single year… Plus: the Bar Owner of the Year Romscar is closely correlated to the outcome of the industry-standard Thailand’s TOP10 Ladyboy Bars of the Year, which I rank every year based solely on my personal experience and criteria. Having said all that, I am pleased to announce that for 2020 the choice of Bar Owner of the Year is a no-brainer: PY’s Youngone gets it with a mile distance from the competition as far as I can see. In a year when covid decimated farang bar businesses everywhere, K'Are'Us co-owner Youngone charged forward 7th Cavalry-style and actually acquired another bar-Sweethearts after it went bust. On top of that, he hired former Sweethearts co-owner Jimbo the Legend to run it and keep his farang groupies around the bar. And on top of top of that, Youngone comes up with ladyboy live streams to generate cash flow. LIVE STREAMS of frolicking non-nude ladyboys like had never been done commercially in our ladyboy mongers world. Magnificent! Youngone is 2020's Bar Owner of the Year, Sweethearts is Bar of the Year and at some point I will announce here and at PY the runner-up bars in my annual Thailand’s TOP10 Bars of the Year rankings. That concludes the 2020 Romscars… I may come back later with a recap and some more media. Thanks gentlemen for watching and remember to stay excellent and party on! Rom

  7. It's difficult to have a lockdown discussion because everyone has a slightly different idea of exactly what a lockdown is. Is Pattaya's current new regulations in which bars are closed, restaurants take out only, massage joints closed, but no curfew a lockdown? Thailand's initial "lockdown" seemed to work. For about six months there was virtually no new cases. I know there was a lack of testing but if someone was sick with covid symptoms they would have been tested at a hospital.

  11. You are spot on there Ciobha and you could quite easily be describing my life at the moment. We are in our third lockdown now and to be honest except for the limits on distances we are allowed to travel, my lifestyle is otherwise not affected one bit really. More than happy to wander the local beach and hills alone with my headphones and camera and I don’t seek out company unless it’s necessary, which at the moment is easy as nobody is really making any effort to catch up with others because of the possible consequence.

  12. True. I suppose we’re locked down although it’s recommendations, not the law.

  13. To answer your question, Rom: to be honest, as far as i can recall i've only ever had one, fairly brief conversation with you, and as my memory is bordering demential i probably didn't recognise you. But glad i smiled, even if you didn't even stop for a drink! In future, don't be intimidated - my Grumpiness is legendary, but really i'm a pussycat! Happy New Year - let's hope this covidcrap passes soon!

  14. Thanks for the coverage chaps, and looks like the party was just in the nick of time with the lockdown that’s hit the place. Teya’s easy access jocks should be mandatory in all LB bars when they reopen.

  18. Thanks Jimbo. I know well about jokes and how they are only funny to the extent we like the person telling them. I also know timing is everything and mine was either spot on or terrible, again depending on perspective… I like to think it was good timing to acknowledge both you and youngone PRIOR to the lockdown re-closure, as afterwards it might come across as some sort of consolation attempt… Keeping Sweethearts in business the way you 2 have has been truly an excellent endeavor to the primary benefit of your staff and guys like me who can only hope there are still bars to party on when covid recedes… Please accept that you are far too larger-than-life a player for me to ignore in our ladyboy players microcosm that I like to celebrate online when I cant do it on the field-of-play… I take this opportunity also to ask you a question that has been bugging me for over a year and perhaps offer an apology… The last time I was at TJ’s while you were there, did you recognize me and tried to greet me? You smiled at me as I was leaving the bar and I did not stop … I had just gone there to try to rekindle things with Lily but had just realized she stood me up (barfined on my clock!) and I left TJ's immediately without even ordering a drink … If so, apologies… Please realize I am intimidated to chat with you bc of how you are so popular with punters who despise me. Hope you are not one of them because I have nothing but admiration (bordering on jealousy) for you. Happy New Year Jimbo. What does not kill you makes you stronger. We all know you will bounce back stronger than ever…

  19. I'd go along with that too. I'm quite ok on my own. When I was younger I liked to be with people, but as I got older and my friends got into couples, had children and moved away, I got used to being on my own. I like my own space and couldn't live with anyone now. People sometimes ask me if this covid self-isolation is getting to me and I say I'm used to being socially isolated and it doesn't bother me.

  20. A Test, wish I was that lucky I had a Covid-19 test on Weds 23rd (tested Negative) for a Man City game that was played on Boxing Day, low and behold a few of their players have tested 'Positive' over the Xmas period which lead to their game v Everton being postponed on the 28th, so I had to go back to get another Test on Tues (29th) which also has come back 'Negative', I find out today that they want me to go again tomorrow (Thurs) for which I will now have to use British Rail (no choice as the family car is being used for my Mums appointment at the Quacks ) even though we go into Tier 4 at midnight tonight, then if that isn't bad enough I have to go back on Saturday for another Test , it's all fun and games But seriously , hope all goes well for you Annat, and take care

  21. I also had test today so waiting to see what is what - to be honest worried I am too old, diabetic and heart so we will see. But in Pattaya a closure is sure to finish a number of bars that are only just hanging on. The girls/LBs are going to suffer badly, unless they work for some one like Sweethearts who will support them for a month, many I am sure will return home if they can. Those who cannot for various reasons are going to struggle. What a start to 2021 Happy New Year from lockdowned Wales

  23. Hi The-Sith right on! Thanks Jimbo. I recall us "briefly" meeting when Nick (original farang co-owner) introduced you back when C&D was across the alley (Katoeys'Я'Us ???). We may have greeted a couple times after Nick left us but as time passed I became so popular with the C&D chorus line I started skipping barfines (not always!) and stopped looking you in the eye... This being the Romscars Club (safe place for all !) and Jimbo having admitted to being a "pussycat" I think I would like to make a REVELATION I have never made here or at PY. So here goes: Whether anyone thinks of me as the greatest jerk in the online ladyboy world or (more accurately! pls) the voice of reason and excellence of said online world, IT WAS JIMBO WHO MADE ME WHO I AM ONLINE !!! You see: I was a founding BM at Pyongyang (PY), albeit a silent one who did not post for the first 3 or 4 years. I found the juicy stuff being posted rather bland compared to my own ladyboy mongering experiences and private pics and saw no point in engaging the chore PY BMs who, unlike me, were mostly sexpats who knew each other from the field and had a Clique-like status at PY that makes it difficult for outsiders to break the ice ... And then one day I read in the C&D bar thread how a staff ladyboy there I really cared for had quit C&D in what I perceived was a very humiliating, cruel public scene. At first it broke my heart to mentally picture her crying at the bar and walking away into the night like a shooed dog. But then I got mad when I saw how the C&D regulars kept posting about it showing zero empathy for the ladyboy and disparaging her further. That's when I stepped in to defend my friend and, being new to posting, I just lashed out in every direction. Any BM who posted to refute me got hit back twice as hard and made to look insensitive to ladyboys in general. Needless to say this was also my first of many ear pullings by Kendo who stepped in to hoover me and compound my sense of injustice at the narrative being shaped at the expense of the ladyboy's dignity. The upside of all this is that a level-headed PY BM (LWFM) privated me to calm me down and he said I was fun to read and I should share my stories to gain acceptance by moderation. He told me to do a TR and show some more pics such as those I had posted during the C&D brawl and were hoovered by Kendo along with my posts. Positive feedback is the best incentive to get someone to play along, so I opened a new BM account and started from zero. The rest is history. BMs seemed to like my posts and the more I stepped on the line the more they liked them... So I just kept trying harder and coming back with more spectacular stuff and breaking the balls of any BM thick enough to pick on me. Of course down the line the story would not end well for me as I was mobmod chased out of PY like a don't-belong-in-the-village-because-he-is-different Frankenstein ... That's who I am: I am Dr. Jimbo's Frankenstein. By posting about my ladyboy friend's exit, he unintendedly sparked the sequence of events that transformed me from silent BM lurker to becoming PY's most read contributor and, a few years later, the only source of red carpet awards in the ladyboy mongering world-The Romscars-and the gatekeeper to the Hall of Legends, both of which have deservedly acknowledged Jimbo. 'nough talk. Here's a pic of the C&D ladyboy, the only ladyboy I ever look back and long for... Do you even remember her name Jimbo??? Happy New Year everyone !

  24. I have to second what Rom said......its an amazing feat to keep the LB fun going with drink, and engagement with the girls while lads are barred from LOS entry. You can develop this into a business model post covid because there will always be mongers who are at home but miss Thailand, even after covid. Sweethearts rocked it in 2020!

  27. Thanks mate . It fascinates me to and I am the one doing it , to speed the germination process up the rice is soaked in water for up to 48 hours before spreading. Hope you enjoy the rest of this thread, there are so many different things in Thailand away from the bar scene.

  31. These tests are basically pointless, imo. Like you said, the minute you step out from clinic with a negative test, you can catch the bug. I agree with you. This is something we have to live with, like the flu, but hopefully in a manageable way with vaccine, antibodies, vitamin D etc. Remember, Donnie fought it off in a few days. Once again, thank you Chy-na.

  32. I had to have another Covid-19 Test today as 5 more Manchester City players/staff tested 'Positive' so their EPL game away at Everton last night was postponed 4 hours before Kick Off. I have had more Covid-19 Tests than I have had 'Hot Dinners' since the EPL season restarted in September, thankfully all have come back 'Negative'

  33. "17 cases"? Let that fucking sink in for a moment. We have recently had 41,000 cases in one day in California, and over 250,000 new cases in one day nationwide. Friendly reminder (and its not a fucking hoax), over 330,000 Americans dead in USA in 11 months. The only reason anyone would starvefrom a lockdown is because stupid politicians refuse to raise funds (bonds or taxes) to feed people during this once in a 100 year pandemic. Oh, and the excess mortality tables are going to tell the tale on what really happenned in this pandemic. PDogg: You have it right...short term pain for long term gain is the wiser course. 35. 2018 Romscar Bar Owner of the Year and Hall of Legends superBM Jimbo began in 2020 billing himself as “the janitor” of the ladyboy bar he currently manages. Accordingly, I toyed with the idea of awarding Jimbo a Romscar for 2020 Ladyboy Bar Janitor of the Year, but it would not be kosher because he is not actually the janitor… What Jimbo more factually blossomed into during 2020 was a mesmerizing webcam model, who, from what I witness at his bar livestreams, gets bought more lady drinks than his ladyboy co-stars. So it’s only fitting that Jimbo gets the Romscar for 2020 Webcam Model of the Year. Bravo Jimbo you’ve done it again!

  36. I steer clear of mixing politics and ladyboy mongering, but the cue here is just too good to pass. So here goes: Seems this socalled Twitter thread is really a thread about Big Dicks on Twitter. So here is the BIGGEST Dick of ALL on Twitter. Cheers Rom

  40. I may post the YouTube 'livestreams' from the likes of NDTV but I don't actually watch his or any others (with the exception of Steady Eddie Sweeney), but I will and do watch the Vlogs of these YouTubers. I did send a certain ladyboy 2500 Baht to help her out and I also donated 1000 Baht to the 'Food Fund' via Pattaya FM, that is me done. Well I may have sympathy for the girls there is no way I am sending money just for the privelige of watching a 'livestream' (that I am not the slightest bit interested in) or buying ladydrinks when I am 6500 miles away.
