It was 20 years ago today!

20 years ago today, 6 February 2002, I stepped off a plane in Thailand for the first time.  Little did I know then that what was supposed to be a one off trip of a lifetime to the Land of Smiles was to have such a profound effect on my life up to today.

The wai from the girl in the restaurant in the airport was my first real indication that I was now in Asia and things are different here.  For someone who had spent the previous 16 years of his travelling life in mainland Europe, this simple encounter reminded me of the excitement of being somewhere new and different, similar to the feeling on seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time one balmy summer’s evening in 1986.

One incident in particular still makes me smile even today and it was a comment my friend said as we strolled down Soi Bangla, Patong.  He had been in Phuket twice before and knew what to expect.  As we approached  the podium at the entrance to Soi Crocodile he turned to me with and said    with a knowing wink “Be careful along here, there are loads of ladyboys…and they can smell the curiosity” ;) ….turns out they could, oh what a prophecy that turned out to be :)

Countless trips later, including 2 stints living in Bangkok, it has been one hell of a ride, and a damn good one for the most part.  From October 2007 I began to meet and hang out with fellow LB guys in Pattaya and Bangkok and what a diverse and interesting group you gents are.  10 years ago this month I meet the ladyboy I was to tie the know with 2 years later.  Quite an eventful two decades then and looking forward to making many new good memories when I finally get back to renew the adventure later this year….Covid permitting.

Hope to see some of you guys around then, chok dee!

Yup they certainly seem to have some sort of natural raider for the guys who are interested. I blew a tranny in Gran Canaria in 1993 and took to it like a duck to water.  So I knew once I was in Thailand it was only a matter of time.  So about a week and a half into a trip I crossed swords with a ladyboy called Dia in Karon Beach, Phuket.  Also I used to hang out on the gay beach in Barcelona sometimes, any time I was in town, checking out the South American  trannies who used to sunbathe there.

Nah, never doubted the decision I made back in 2014 Rom.  Our situation feels perfectly normal to me.

No, I never got into any type of relationship with anyone in Thailand till I met herself.  As mentioned earlier I just dabbled as needed and then went on my merry way.

PD and I have been friends since back in late 2008, so when he got drafted into helping to run LBR he asked me would I be interested in helping out.

*In the early days of LBP TerryTibbs, one of the original mods there, told me at the time if I ever wanted to be a mod along with him and his crew just let him know.  It was a different place back then, and I never took him up on his offer.

That was a great lineup a couple years ago. I confess I've done the deed with all but three of them, although sometimes just sucking and not fucking or being fucked. Lily was the best performer, but Ana of today's lineup - although not near the looker of Lily - is every bit as good a performer, if not better. Surely her love of all action and of having a good time supercedes that of Lily, who even back then had a bit of a prima donna vibe.

I spent some time pre covid at TJ's. Was always a good night out. Only partook of 4 of the girls, because the last has been a permanent since then. So you could say it worked for me!.

Lily used to do it for me, but no longer. Her episodes on twitter do nothing for me. In fact I usually brush over them.

The lineup these days is not as good as it was, looking at the photos. I am sure that as the customers return it will improve.

No Aitch, you are wrong. The girl I am talking about is PEACH. She was another trophy on Sitting Bulls shelf before Pee. Peach was a great girl. Last I heard she was in a cabaret act at the start of covid.
