I'd rather be pulled over to show my license than pulled over and give a cup to pee in. The raid was at Mic My Boy Bar on Soi VC which is about a minute walk from Famous Bar. My sources in the gay community told me the farang customers in the bar were brought to Immigration and their status checked and then all were released. No one can ever remember this happening to customers in a bar before. Twenty two boys were taken away in two separate baht busses. The underage baht bus baht had about fourteen boys and the 18+ baht bus only about eight boys. So about two thirds were underage. Makes you think WTF is going on with this bar? A third baht bus took away the mamasans and waitresses. But the big news is the fourth baht bus that took away farang customers. This is a first. In Sunee every few months. But this is the first time that anyone can remember that bar patrons were brought to Immigration. It would be a relief to us farangs if everyone working in a bars is 18+. So perhaps this is a step in the right direction and will make the bars a safer place for us in the long run. 17 boys aged between 14 and 17 were found inside the bar and some were hiding in “Short Time” rooms on the second floor.
