They will look for an insurance card and give them a ring, or better yet, a credit card. He cited Pattaya Memorial, for example, is known to take a credit card and see if 50,000 baht can be authorized (not charged). If authorized OK, then they render full medical treatment. If not, they stop the bleeding then send them off to Banglamung Public Hospital. In addition to the good advice above, the key is to make them want to treat you. May 5 is no longer a public holiday in Thailand, everything should be operating as normal. July 28 and October 13 have been added as new holidays. How they are treated by officials re: bar openings is unknown. Visakha Bucha Day is May 10 this year (2017). It is the most important holy day in Buddhism, shops, bars and restaurants are "officially" prohibited from selling alcohol from midnight to midnight. You might be able to get a drink somewhere but do not expect music, dancing or partying.

I'm headed to AC in a few weeks, and in the past, I've used PinaLove in addition to the streets and bars.
