seven
Living in the most reckless country regarding covid restrictions where mask recommendations along with all other restrictions were cancelled mid February it may come as a blessing/ curse to some of you; at a doctors appointment yesterday I was given a mask at the reception and had to wear it properly during the whole visit (as was the doctor) , not down on the chin but covering both mouth and nose fogging up my glasses real well. I asked if I really had to, being vaccinated 3 times. Yes sir, new rules due to increasing transmission of covid and a still very overloaded (socialist) healthcare system. Planes to the alps and Thailand are almost fullybooked with dirty scandies. So there you go, BBG, QG, Quinn, PDiddy and all you others, remember that when you rim your next ladyman, it aint over till the fat lady sings. It ain't over until the phat ladyman farts or you get a bucket of water in your face when riding a motobike. Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health estimated that the number of daily Covid-19 infections could reach a hundred thousand if there were no strict measures and preventive controls, reiterating the need to speed up Covid-19 vaccination to more than 4 hundred thousand doses per day. This essentially pours cold water on proposals to legally reopen bars and nightlife or allow a “normal” Songkran festival.

I wonder why? Am i concerned ? no i ain't because i got a poltergeist in my room! yes, really... Recently my T.V started a habit of turning itself on at full volume in the middle of the night. Last night 3 a.m i heard a hell of a noise, it was alarming to say the least. I jumped out of bed, turned on the light to see the floor-standing fan wobbling up and down and slip sliding across the floor... it moved about 2 feet and cannoned straight into a wooden room partition, the front guard of the fan went flying across the room, the fan itself shattered into 3 pieces. Mmmmm, now, i confess that i can't even blame QG for this, he's never been to this room. But thinking about it, PD HAS... i guess it could have been because the fan wasn't wearing a mask?

I don't see what's the problem with Sweden. here's a graph from Covitracker. The country's rates were over European averages during the last wave but they seem excellent now. Rates are now lower than European rates. (Last week, our district had the lowest R0 since March 2020 when the pandemics arrived here. However the R0 increased from 0.50 to 0.57 this week (from 0.57 to 0.63 for the country. Incidence rates [number of cases for 100,000 inhabitants] keep on decreasing and went lower than the same rates during the first and second wave. ) Your doctor is right though to maintain and educate people prudence. Firstly, this is a medical house with the most fragile people gainst covid and wearing masks being no longer mandatory doesn't mean it's now prohibited. It can also protect against flu and other Winter diseases. I found today 2 countries who should worry about a bounce in new cases numbers. I watched the Netherlands (that had the highest rates during this last wave and got surprised to notice a curve going back to the high. I also noticed the same about UK. If I remember well, requirement to wear masks was lifted in the UK around January 15th. This was justified by stats, but we saw British people coming to the Alps without mask in public areas while we had to do with law enforcement officers on the previous weeks who threatened us in empty ski resorts if we wouldn't wear masks in the street.

Pulci Gorgon
China has imposed a new lock down in Changchun, in the Jilin province in the Northeast of China. The news were reported by several press websites such as the Voice of America or Time USA. This confirms what I think of China's supposed "zero tolerance policy". This is a propanganda BS to make believe that covid doesn't come from China, but China is not able to prevent or stop the coronavirus spreading for a reason or another. Here's a graph from covid tracker. regretfully, the world average of new cases is increasing again. This means the whole world except North and South America. We're happy for them. Figures are close to zero in Africa and China and very low in India. I remain convinced that the the virus spread is not well measured in Africa and India and totally faked in China. This lowers the Asian curve. I added Hong Kong's curve since I'l convinced it reflects the evoluation China. Due large provinces, the Chinese curve is probably lower than Hong Kong's but I'm convinced it's similar. We can fear China to "cultivate" a new variant and let it spread around the world. I don't understand why the pandemics is starting over in many European countries. Perhaps they decided too early to let people go out with masks unless anti vax managed to cultivate clusters in every country.

Pdoggg
Dr. Apisamai Srirangsan, the current CCSA spokeswoman, stated at a small press conference on March 14th that over 90 percent of cases in Thailand of Covid-19 currently were mild or asymptomatic and could be treated at home without the need of doctors or hospitals. Some highly vaccinated areas, like Pattaya, have 99.3 percent of their cases mild or asymptomatic. https://thepattayanews.com/2022/03/15/analysis-thai-covid19-center-still-likely-to-ease-some-restrictions-this-week/

But you still see some who do, like a neighbour here who wears hers to go to the letterbox.
Quietguy
Not compulsory in London, but from what I see more than 50% are still wearing, including me.

Pulci Gorgon
This week, on the day we were allowed to drop masks, the R0 index went back over 1.0 (it had gone down to as low as 0.50 in my department and 0.57 nationwide last month). We're experiencing the 6th wave. Amazingly, as rates skyrocket, the government already forecasted a severe drop in May (after the elections ?). They annouced today a new pandemics likely to convince people to keep on wearing masks. Flu is back. It's transmitted by children since their immune system has not execised for 2 years. Strange.

As most ladymen have the latest iPhone they be happy to update their iOS which now allows you to unlock your phone with face-ID wearing a mask! Now there really isn't any incentive to lose the masks. Yay! https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/ios-15-4-mask-friendly-face-id-isnt-the-only-new-feature-to-try/ updates to Face ID (yes, you can now open your iPhone while wearing a mask)

Don't you be a-frettin' about QGs masks, works of art all. He is now the Jean-Paul Gaultier of the designer mask world, an enfant terrible of mask design. i will never forget how impressed i was with the one that seemed to be constructed from scaffolding tubes. It's very coincidental that QG recently purchased an Iphone too. I wonder if he also designed the new software for mask-wearers who own Iphones? wouldn't be surprised at all. I noticed that once he learned how to turn the phone on he became a man possessed.
