He was trying to keep it low key but the girls did spring a cake on him at one stage. It was tricky to get any shots of the new layout because of the customers, but I did manage one during a lull. Apparently the 2 armchairs are from the old 131 and have been in storage for 5 years. The general consensus was that the new bar is better than the old regarding layout and usage of space. La Bamba has not been getting too much publicity of late, but with the move and the buzz about it, I feel the bars best days are ahead and we'll give it all the coverage we can to continue to be a successful brand. Official opening 31st December Now it is a guest house with separate access they have a new income potential. I think what makes it different is that the bar/building is their home so they care about it. Just hope they can restrain themselves from cluttering up the bar. Fair play to all the La Bamba crew I like their style and their ethos . Sticking two fingers up to the landlord when she tried to screw them , sorting out their own new home and of course looking after each other and living together in a ladyboy commune . LaBamba should garner five Michelin stars in 2013. Always hard to tell from pictures, but that looks like a really nice upgrade to the old establishment. Nice to see you giving LaBamba some press.
