Sometimes they just cant resist and come back for more. It must be an addiction. I have since removed everything from another forum, but the damage was done. So l get this note on Facebook from a mysterious person asking if l knew a couple of ladies and had their contact number. He also offered to give me the contact info from one if the ladies at Alcazar. We chatted for a bit as l made excuses that my hard drive we being rebuilt. The moron told me how he romances the ladies with bulshit on skype before visiting and likes to spend 3 or 4 days with them. Have them feel that he is special and meanwhile he has a great time. He started bragging on how he had had tons of ladies and uses the same lines. Saying they all need love and attention...little fucker! He gave me the scoop on a real sweetie that he was dating from Alcazar along with her skype and phone number. Duh! But it was obvious that he was trying to get some info out of me. He asked if l was on ladyboyspattaya and was my name the same as my facebook. Did l ever date ladies from BKK (yes) and did l know several ladies names that he shares, that l do know personally, etc, etc. The weezel was trying to befriend me and l was dying trying to play along. It was too obvious! Then he tells me his name is xxxxx and when l went to the Facebook page of the lady from Alcazar l see him. She added me as a friend and tada there is a bunch of his pictures with her. So l downloaded one and sent it to my old GF who is now in good terms with me. "How you know him, l dont tell you his name. He is bad man and say bad things and lie to me". So l ask if he was the the one who showed you the pictures and the trip report. "Ok,ok yes. He lie to many ladyboys". Unbelievable, the bastard wants to be my friend. Then l see on her page another guy who is posting garbage about him on how he is a scammer and the two are going back and forth calling each other liars. He has two facebook pages. One with sweet pictures and it shows his lady, then the other is under a different name and its his working site. I havent let on yet but did question his relationship with the Alcazar ladyboy and he denied that he even knew me. Strange shit! The kicker here is that he said he was once a member at a couple of known forums but not now and tried to go in under another name but couldnt. This is too funny his last note to me: please help me about how make profile in ladyboyspattaya.com about what i must answet at What is "LOL" backwards? question...... I wont post his name or any other information but you can be sure that l will have fun with this one. I wouldnt mind hearing from others here as l will be slipping into Patts in September for a quickie and someone is in for a big surprise. Maybe the Belfast Boys could consider a friendly visit. I've started trying to steer clear of these threads here and elsewhere as they invariably seem to lead to tears amongst the forum members, but I think yours has a decent chance of staying "above the fray" as you aren't naming and shaming and trying to turn the forum into a lynch mob or tribunal. I would love to see these bastards get what they have coming to them, but it just usually seems that the threads on forums lead to guys being at each others throats, threats and retribution... nice to see you are handling this with dignity. Well said DT! In some ways we're extremely laid back at LBR. However, LBR is not the place to settle to grudges among our members or guys who are members of other forums. I know threads where people are slinging shit at each other can be captivating reading, hey I admit that I find them interesting, but it's a direction we have decided not to follow at LBR. So accusatory posts directed at other members, even anonymous members, get deleted (nothing has been deleted in this thread). No lynch mobs here. Perhaps this makes LBR more boring or more heavy handed than some would like and therefore makes us less successful. I'm OK with that. Other forums permit the settling of grudges so if someone really has a score to settle, there's easily accessible places to do so. Thanks for taking the high road ET and excellent sleuthing! The amount of guys who get into trouble for whatever reason all seem to use this medium. Personally I cannot see any upside for even using it, but there is deffo a lot of downside IMHO. The whole thing sucks but in many ways l am glad that it will soon be behind me. Needless to say l have no pics posted anywhere else and other than here l am very reluctant to post any. Facebook on the otherhand is no different than DIA or Thai Friendly if you are looking to connect in advance. Just be careful who you invite and use the safeguards to restrict what others can see. Don't ask me what half, I can't preempt how this is going to play out but I have anecodotal evidence that people are being screwed by their past catching up with them. And the cause of their demise? Nothing more than someone typing an email address into Facebook & linking up the results of what came up. Anyone here who has handed out their email address to Thai girls with a Facebook page will find themselves constantly being contacted to join their "friends". And these messages are automatically generated by Facebook, the girls don't even know they have sent the message. It's a fucking scourge that can cause embarrassment at best & break up relationships at worst. And fuck up family relations & maybe cost your job. I know people who no longer contact other people they know because of who turned up in such a simple search. And the injured party were completely innocent, they still don't know what happened. I don't trust the confidentiality of the web (no offense to our site owner) to give any more details about what I have witnessed, suffice to say, it is only the thin end of the wedge & I predict that there will be laws passed one day specifically to limit the reach of Facebook & similar sites. Happy snaps taken on holiday & posted on FB are normal practise for so many among us. Imagine having a future partner, employer & children accessing them one day & asking why there are 50 different ladyboys on your page all with their names & personal information. I still have a facebook page but I've put some pretty clear lines up separating it from both my professional life and my deviant lifestyle. First, I would NEVER give a girl my email address. I do have a special email address I use for potential spam accounts, signing up for a porn site, or using here. If I had good reason that would be the one I'd give her, but even that would be a stretch. In my mind there is almost NO reason to ever give a thai my email address. Second, my facebook page is completely firewalled from my deviant life. I keep myself logged out of it at all times except for the times that I'm actively using it, then I log back out again at the end of the session. This way, if I accidentally click on an embedded facebook link or like in a post here or somewhere else, it won't automatically connect to the Facebook profile using my "open" account. It forces Facebook to ask me to log in first, which gives me a bit of added protection from accidentally clicking on a link that would show up in my Facebook profile. I've also un-friended everyone I work with and have removed any/all references to my employer. The only people that I'm "friended" with are actual friends and family, and I ocassionally use it to keep up with their activities, but that's it. I rarely post anything about my activities except the ocassional political link or music/film/arts recommendation. Hopefully you are right that there will someday be a laws to restrict the loss of privacy we've acquiesced to. But in the rush to embrace the technical tools, people have happily and carelessly tossed their personal liberties and privacy rights aside. The argument you hear around these topics are exactly the ones Big Brother would promote but don't have to (as we are doing it ourselves). The main argument is "you only have something to fear if you have something to hide". The right wing uses those sorts of bullshit arguments all the time as a rationale to give police and the government the right to invade our privacy. Here in America it's incredibly disheartening. Entities trumpet all sorts of bullshit threats and scares in order to cow the populace into giving in more and more to a police state. What we took for granted as civil liberties a generation ago are long gone. Citizens of countries like Canada, Australia and the UK have far more "liberty" than those of us here who have given up our rights for the false promise of freedom from terrorism and crime. What people don't realize is that the chances of their being touched by the trumped-up terrors that our government and media constantly threaten us with is thousands of times less than the chances that our privacy rights will be trampled upon by those we trust to keep us "safe". Things were bad before, but after 9/11 the populace agreed to give sweeping new powers to the government, military, and law enforcement. The creation of the Homeland Security Administration could have been foretold by Mr. Orwell - a new multi-billion dollar government agency that is beyond scrutiny and spending more than the annual budget of many nations on "securing" our borders and keeping us "safe". Most of that is done by restricting our civil liberties and snooping. It's a secret police state yet no one seems to have noticed. Yikes, I sound as paranoid as I used to accuse you of being Paccers. I think you are one of the few who are privvy to those events, which have developed a lot more in recent weeks. I'll give you a buzz this week to discuss further, as well as to try to project our plan of attack in Pattaya in just over 11 weeks. As paccers stated, people currently go on about Facebook and the likes as this wonderful tool that allows them to keep up date with the daily lives of every they know (and some they don't) throughout the world.
