Sometimes I'll splurge and have their special of the day. There longtime pitchman pleased guilty today of having sex with minors. INDIANAPOLIS — Longtime Subway pitchman Jared Fogle agreed Wednesday to plead guilty to allegations that he paid for sex acts with minors and received child pornography in a case that destroyed his career at the sandwich-shop chain and could send him to prison for more than a decade. Fogle, 37, became Subway's pitchman after shedding more than 200 pounds as a college student, in part by eating the chain's sandwiches. He was the public face of the company for more than 15 years — a period in which its number of locations tripled, making Subway the world's largest restaurant chain. Federal prosecutors allege in the documents that Fogle traveled to pay for sex acts, including with minors, from 2007 until as recently as June and that he repeatedly planned business trips to coincide with his sexual pursuits. Fogle is accused of having sex with two 16-year-old girls at hotels in New York City. One of the girls told investigators she had sex with Fogle three times in November 2012, when she was 16, and again two months later, when she was 17. The girl told Fogle her age when they first met, according to the documents. After that meeting, Fogle allegedly texted the girl and offered to pay her a fee if she could find him another underage girl to pay for sex acts. Never went to any of the "fast food joints" when I was in BKK I always ate off the food stalls along the road. I could get a good meal three or four courses as it were by simply walking half a mile (if I wanted sticky rice and mange for desert!) for less than I would pay for an evening meal in the hotel I stayed at. So no I don't eat or have ever eaten at subway. They do pancakes don't they? 1 Quote Link to comment

I dont understand why you see many farangs at KFC or McDonalds. I could b wrong but I think he hasnt been a spokesman for a while. In any event, I had a half of one once in Bkk on a whim. The bread IS good. Wasn't bad. I'm gonna load up on good ol NJ subs at my favorite spot in my ol hometown before I shoot over to JFK and a LONG wait for my cheapo flight to Bkk. Now THEM bad boys are the real magilla. As a bachelor out on my own for a few years I wondered why anyone would go someplace to buy a cold cut sandwich. I might try the meatball marinara some day. I do mostly eat farang food in Thailand. Farang meals (Italian almost every night) and kebabs are pretty much my diet in Thailand. But I seldom go to fast food places. Quote Link to comment

thaibound Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 i've enjoyed the air-conditioned view from the corner of diana and bukaow on several hot and muggy occasions over the years, but only after my first few weeks back in-country were chockfull of street spice, uncertain animal flesh and formaldehyde beers. change of pace and all. come to think of it, it could have been that view that led the former fattie down the road to ruin.
