pdogg
Not sure but in the New York area they start with W. Quote Link to comment
SiamSam
All I know is all stations east of the Mississippi start with W and all stations west of the river start with K except for a few that have been grandfathered in prior to regulation. The call letters are assigned to different countries by some international group. All Canadian stations start with C even though I believe Canada has been assigned with a few other letters that they can use. 1 Quote Link to comment

Hefe
In what country do steel drums originate? I just ran across this this morning, a variant of the steel drum called the Space Drum devised in France. I would like to have this music put on my alarm to wake me up in the morning, (or have the girl wake me up) 1 Quote Link to comment

JaiDee
heh heh, I watched the whole thing as well after I posted it! Very humble guy, avoids the limelight [outside of his ill-advised Rally to restore Sanity] and has a great program. As usual, anyone who can get on the bad side of those nitwits on FOX fake news is OK in my book, and all those people hate this guy. They hate Maher as well and I think his HBO show is must-watch, he has on the best, most well-educated panels of any show on television. Also saw Bill's standup routine in Montreal in 2011 and here in my hometown last fall, he kills for 2 hours and sells out almost every date. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Back to the trivia, kind of a trick question I saw on Jeopardy; Which country has the most time zones spread out amongst all its territories? Hint; not China or Russia Quote Link to comment
SiamSam
If including territories it has to be the US. Without including territories it must be Canada. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Both wrong Sam, but good tries. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Nope, it's actually a country you would never expect! Hopefully we can get some more tries, one or 2 of the board members may live there. Quote Link to comment
pacman
Which country has the most time zones spread out amongst all its territories? I'm guessing it must be a country in "old Europe" which still has colonies in the Pacific. Somewhere like Portugal or Spain. A shot in the dark but I will guess France. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
. A shot in the dark but I will guess France. France is the winner! 12 time zones. Quote Link to comment

bumblebee
What is the unusual content in Casu Marzu cheese from Sardinia? A clue is it's alive. While we await an answer, who declared war on Germany in 1943? Quote Link to comment
pacman
A clue is it's alive. There's a cheese that has grubs in it. Or was it maggots? I saw it on a TV program years ago & wondered how hungry you would have to be to eat it. Quote Link to comment
