JaiDee
This would be "blank slate" in English and refers to how humans are born. Quote Link to comment
bumblebee
That was a tricky one indeed Jaidee. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Yeah, sorry about that BB! I had seen that phrase again the other day, I remembered it from my HS days. Tabula was the 'slate', and later became 'tablet.' Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Here's a new one; of these 3 countries, which one covers the most area? Australia, Brazil or India? Quote Link to comment

Lefty
Oh I remember this I think. Tom was the "Black Avenger of the Spanish Main"; Huck was "Red Handed" and Joe was "Terror of the Seas". Amazing. Right all. Quote Link to comment
Lefty
Raquel Welsh and the movie is called something like One Million Years B.C. She was so fucking hot in that movie. And today she is still stunning. Welch, not Welsh. Quote Link to comment
SiamSam
Welch, not Welsh. Yes Lefty. So sorry. Wish you were here to scold me in person. Quote Link to comment
bumblebee
Welch, not Welsh. It's difficult to read the cast list at the end of a movie when your eyes are squinting and streaming. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Did somebody ask for a Welsh? Quote Link to comment
Lefty
It's difficult to read the cast list at the end of a movie when your eyes are squinting and streaming. Yes, I can imagine my dear friend Siam Sam watching Kansas City Bomber, while furiously self abusing Little Sam. Quote Link to comment

SiamSam
We too in Canada refer to the Conservative Party as Tories. They don't mind be called that since I doubt any of them know the origin of the word/term which I believe refers to a thief/robber/crook. Am I close? Quote Link to comment

pacman
I didn't know Tory had another meaning, I thought it was a slang term connected to the word "conservatory". Here's my question - if you were to stack one hundred dollar bills on top of each other, how high would the stack be by the time it reached a trillion dollars? Quote Link to comment
Lefty
Not Florida either Seven alas. Texas Quote Link to comment

pacman
Here's my question - if you were to stack one hundred dollar bills on top of each other, how high would the stack be by the time it reached a trillion dollars? If I said the stack would be a mile high that would seem ridiculous. One trillion dollars in hundred dollar notes would actually stand 64 miles high. Imagine depositing that at your local bank.... 1 Quote Link to comment
