Lefty
Sacramento was the first US city with a CFL team. Also besides Shreveport, Las Vegas and Baltimore had CFL teams in 1994. In 1995, Sacramento moved to San Antonio, and Memphis and Birmingham also had CFL teams. Quote Link to comment
Lefty
That was answered a few pages back Lefty..... It was Baltimore, and their name was the Stallions. Now in Montreal and known as the Allouettes. RXpharm got it and Sam knew it as well. The Alouettes are one of the original CFL teams. Been around since the 1940s, but have folded and been revived. 2 times since the early 80s. While the current Alouettes came to be from the relocation of the Stallions, it's not the first time there has been a team in Montreal known as the Alouettes. Quote Link to comment
Lefty
OK, this was a paraphrase of something Thomas Jefferson once said! Which throws water on the theory that many christians have that America is a christian nation; bullshit! How about this one; Who succeeded Leonid Brezhnev as leader of the Soviet Union in 1982? Hint; ex-KGB leader. Mikhail Gorbachev . Actually, that's wrong, but i did not know or remember the name of the immediate successor to Brezhnev. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Not Gorbachev but good try. Sorry about the CFL stuff, actually I had forgotten they had put any CFL teams in America at all! My buddy Doug reminded me last week, he's from Baltimore. Quote Link to comment
Lefty
There were two leaders between Brezhnev and Gorbachev, but they both served only a short time and I do not even remember them. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Yes, both short-lived tenures......they were old when they came into power and died not long afterwards. The name I am looking for would be right at home on a Vodka label Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Yes, and yes, both very short-lived.....then it was Gorby First name was Yuri Or Juri? Something like that 1 Quote Link to comment

ciobha
Brian Robson it would be brother PD. To this day this goal still rages debate as to whether it should still be the official quickest goal in WC finals history, as the only goal to beat it was during a third/fourth place play off match. People say that match is unimportant so Robson should get the credit. Errrr, actually, ENGLISH people say that match wasn't important, to everybody else, well who gives a shit. Sorry, my English amigos, no offence intended. Quote Link to comment
