  3. If you are into the beach, swimming, snorkeling, or scuba then you really need to go to Phuket. It was 15 years ago that I first went to Thailand, and it was to Phuket. I had always wanted to learn to dive, and I did, and I've been hooked ever since. I have always stayed in the Karon/Kata beach areas, not in Patong, which is really just a Pattaya but with a better clientele (somewhat) but MUCH better beach and water, needless to say! Funny, I've never mongered in Phuket. I'm there to dive every other day, sometimes a couple of days in a row. Partying and diving the next day? Well, you can try that. Once. A hangover on a dive boat is no fun. It is funny to puke underwater, though. Fish eat it! But having puke mouth and breathing through your regulator for the rest of the dive is pretty gross. But, I digress. So, I can't help with the mongering situation. But, I have noticed even in Karon and Kata there are some open bar areas that do tend to have a stray LB or two. (They've waved to me as I've ridden by on my rental motorbike. They say I'm a handsome man and ask where I'm from. Just like in Pattaya! Imagine that!) So, maybe Phuket has a tiny bit of a Pattaya feel in that regard. As for prices, yes it is a little more expensive than Pattaya, and a bit more than BKK, but not really that bad. I've had my bookings for a room in Kata for a couple of months now for the very heart of high season around Christmas (not my favorite time to go to Thailand, but since our office basically shuts down for two weeks then there is no sense in staying home), and I'm paying 1800 baht a night for a small but clean room in a newer small hotel with nice TV, wifi, etc. two blocks from the beach. Beer is typically around 80 baht. Food varies greatly in price like anywhere in Thailand. I generally hang with people in the dive business whom I've gotten to know, so they always know where to go for a good but (relatively) inexpensive meal. My daily budget in Phuket is not too much more than in BKK or Pattaya, but that is mostly due to dive expenses. For example, in Phuket I'll spend $100 USD for a day dive trip, in Pattaya basically the same amount for dinner and a LT with a sweetie companion. The perfect vacation? Two weeks in Phuket diving, followed by two weeks in Pattaya sucking and fucking. I've done that half a dozen times in recent years! Looking forward to it again!

  4. I agree too. Any narrow-minded whore-chasing fucktard with nothing more than a cock-for-a-brain would feel disappointed anywhere other than Pattaya if he's been before. Fortunately there are still people in existence who enjoy travelling and experiencing other countries and cultures without the daily need for a prostitute. Life is not all about paying peanuts to fuck poor 3rd world tranny whores because if that's all you have left in life then it's time to take a step back and review your life.

  5. What's The Ideal Situation Between You And A Ladyboy? On one end of the spectrum is a guy who wants to be loved and adored by just one ladyboy. On the other end of the spectrum is a guy who views a ladyboy as a LBFM and really couldn't care less what she thinks. Seems what many guys like is a friendly connection, fun banter, great sex, and wants a ladyboy to feel that she's been treated fairly. And no drama. What do you want?

  6. Do bolt ons increase a ladyboy's earning power? In Swedeman's Bolt On Sponsor thread, http://www.ladyboyreview.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3275-bolt-on-sponser/ Uncle said: Thought this twist on the subject warranted its own thread. I know lots of guys who prefer flat chests. But then others like the silicone look. Do tits increase earning power?

  8. I have been duly informed by Mistress Nok that the next Morlam is this Monday, 12th August. Can't see too many farangs attending, as there is a total of about 25 farangs in the whole of Pattaya at the minute!

  10. Give that man a coconut! It is indeed the Areca Lodge. Very much looking forward to catching up with you in October/November. Will do my best to take care of young Ciobha while he's here. That is, I'll try to keep him out of in as many shenanigans as possible. Not that he needs any help in that respect, of course...

  14. I think you may have been misled slightly by the phrase 'not a million miles away' from Sunee Plaza. I can categorically state that it is much, much less than a million miles away, but not as near to Sunee as you probably think... Final clue(s): It's somewhere that might lodge in Rossco's memory...

  15. I remember that one very well DK as i had such a hangover from the previous night i was taking it easy on the sauce. A great surprise arriving in Ezy to that greeting and realising it was all for me, it took me about 30 seconds to cop on what was happening. A memorable one indeed.

  16. Thanks for the advice guys. Seems the most secure and easiest way is to take large denomination Traveller Cheques. I think that's what I will do, plus a small amount of cash in smaller denomination notes. I do have a British Airways American Express credit card so I will check to see if they charge foreign transaction fees. Depending on how this longer trip goes I might be going every year for 8 weeks in the winter now that I'm retired, so might look into opening a Kasikorn bank account.

  23. She is Nong Belle - the Thai lb who made a big splash on Thailand's Got talent - singing with a female and male voice. She's also been a member of Venus Fly Trap - the first Thai lb pop group, and movie actress. Clearly it's not her as the "he", just clever video editing.

  26. Some great old shots there from DK and Mardhi. i remember seeing them at the time and thinking I gotta get my ass down to Pattaya rather than spending it in Phuket and to a lesser extent Hua Hin. Finally got there in late '07 and not been back to Phuket since, but HH still holds a special place in my heart, among other parts. I remember your party AB, it was impossible to wipe the grin off your face that night.

  28. After you win the Powerball perhaps you might consider Phnom Penh as the location to set up that LB bar. You can import the talent from LOS or PI for special occasions like when Mr. Ken and I are kicking around town. You can call the gin joint "Dogg's Cafe" and you'll be as famous as Bogie in Casablanca. I'll play piano for you and once in awhile you'll turn to me and say: "Play it again for me Sam." How's that sound?

  29. Soi 5, just off Jomtien Beach Road? The Immigration office is a little further up and on the right, I think. Here's a slightly expanded version of the original of 'Slippery Rain...' Too easy now, I feel.

  30. Hotel safe security is quite over rated. There is someone who has a master code/key that can unlock all the safes in the hotel. In addition see this video: SiamSam gives good advice about Traveler's Cheques - except that you will get a better rate from the exchanges in Thailand, so there is no need to exchange any in your home country. The Airport has exchanges open 24/7 - and the rates there are almost the same as the rates in the city. If you have a special credit card or a privilege account- a gold card for example - one of the benefits might be commission free traveler's cheques - that is a plus, and will save you something like 1.5% when you are purchasing them from your bank. American Express is usually the best company to use - a few of the others like Thomas Cook might not be accepted at all exchanges. Get the highest denomination cheques you can obtain - generally the 500 Euro or dollar ones. There is a stamp duty charge when cashing traveler's cheques - something like 27 Baht, so this cost is minimized with the higher denomination ones. Always have the numbers recorded and kept separately from the cheques, so you can get them replaced if lost or stolen. You also need to have the receipt as well. I store valuables locked out of sight in my luggage (hard bags), or I use the hotel lobby safe deposit. The method is to put your valuables in an envelope - sign it along the seal, then tape and staple it shut, so it is obvious is there has been any tampering. If you travel to LOS a lot, an alternate method is to open a Thai bank account and transfer funds to it before your trip, and use the Thai ATM card to withdraw cash when you need it. This avoids the 150 Baht extra charge almost all Thai banks apply when a foreign card is used in their ATMs. Also many of your home country banks charge extra for using an ATM out of their network, so the costs pile up. You can also use your home bank's ATM card - but you will be charged extra as mentioned, and you might not get the best exchange rate either, as the ATM exchange generally gives you slightly less than the posted rates.

  31. I usually take a modest amount of Thai baht with me purchased at the airport currency exchange in my home country. I also buy large denomination ($100/$500) American Express traveller's cheques before my departure. You get the best exchange rates in Thailand with large denomination TCs. I get enough in TCs to cover my day to day expenses for food, drinks, bar fines, mongering levies/taxes and hotels in the event they do not take credit cards. I keep a record of the TC numbers at home just in case they get lost or stolen and a record of them in a separate area in my luggage or hidden in my hotel room. The TC themselves are kept in the hotel room safe along with any other valuables.

  32. The 2013 Queen of Cebu Pageant for Alternatives had its annual screening on August 3, 2013. The 21 contestants for the annual pageant scheduled for the second week of November have been selected. The pictures of the 21 girls are attached below for my fellow pageantnistas to enjoy. My favorite is Nicole (Middle Row First on Left), but she is an under-dog since she was past over last year, and works at the same organization as the reigning Queen. Maybe Stealth can give us some more intel on any of the girls. If anybody is on the ground in Cebu, and can provide intel I'm sure us Filipino ladyboy lovers would be appreciative. Cheers, Randy
