For those that are interested there is a TV programme on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm named

Gordon`s Great Escape

Gordon Ramsey concludes his culinary journey to Thailand , where he joins the nations equivalent of the W1 and competes in a televised cook-off

Heres what the Daily Star's TV Editor has to say

" Its a shame Rammo is no longer at the peak of his popularity because this series-ending tonight-is one of his best.

Gordon's in Thailand trying out some traditional cooking with Mrs Raht who doesnt trust him with her sausage. Wise woman.

Later, Gordon takes in a Thai boxing match and is "transfixed" by lady boys in attendance."

Should be interesting :bbq:

one of us. :hi:

One of us are guys who like one of ours.

Mafia guys introduce made members to other made members as a friend of ours. If just a mate he is introduced as a friend of mine.

To be come a made guy one has to "make their bones" kill someone, a homo sapien not a feline. I guess to be a friend of ours it involves experience with a ladyboy boner.

T'was a pretty good show , certainly would have you interested in Thailand if you'd never been it showed the place in a good light .

The Ramsey fella didn't know what way to look when he encountered big ugly Marina and the gang doing the YMCA in Chang Mai :shok:

I just wondered if any of you lads recorded it because I'd love to see it!

I was actually meant to be there that night, it was just before Sonkran last year & I'd weedled my way out of the evening because I was seeing a 'GG' Singarorean tourist at the time, who was up here doing a Mauy Thai course (I'd met her jogging)! Anyway, I was supposed to go there & watch her mate fight... But the last thing on the face of this earth that I wanted to happen was for her to 'click' that I was into Ladyboys... And as I'm really well known at Marina's it was just way, way, way, too risky!

I'd purely out of curiosity, love to see how of many my old mates were on duty that night who may have got a bit of exposure on British TV!?

I used to know Marina when she was a big, fat, ugly (male) Burmese tailor... He was a nasty, robbing shit then too!.. I'd love to know where the porn star reputation comes from, it's no doubt a fanciful fabrication, because I know I wouldn't want to see anybody stuff it!

Jimslim, Did you used to be a 'soul boy', by any chance?... I was one in London (different style, I know) back in the mid to late 70's, I actually had more fun in the punk scene, but you could get your 'nuts in' with chicks at the soul & funk clubs!.. Fuckin' used to dance like a black boy, me!

I don't think he was to happy at the lad's taking pictures of it either.

(Great name, BTW)... No, he doesn't look very comfortable, but he could have gone to any of the other three sides of the boxing ring to have the film cameras rolling on him, maybe the production people thought it would add a bit of 'visual' spice (no pun intended).

Funnily enough, at the time I posted this photo of Gordon Ramsey on 'PLB' & if I recal right, I never even got one response, which I thought was really strange because to me this was incredibly interesting, 'Gordon Ramsey' at a fucking Ladyboy Bar!.. I'm afraid that unless it's Pattaya & pictures of nobs in G Strings, that lot on 'PLB' just really haven't got a lot of interest it!

He's a right miserable looking boor.

I get the feeling with Ramsey that as long as the cameras are pointing at him or he's in any way the centre of attention, then he's secretly as happy as a pig in shit.

I'm with you all the way on that, he's a complete bore, I hated the bloke with a vengeance when I was back in the UK, pompous, brash, arrogant, big headed, self important, self righteous, bully boy, wanker of the highest order!

I take it your not a big Fan of his then Lung :lolu:

I didnt particular like his swearing in the programme, thought it uneccessary and neither amusing. :nea:

When he was in the Temple with the Monk and made his "no dirty thoughts then" quip I thought it showed a very high level of ignorance and disrespect of Thai people

No, I'm most definitely not a fan Duke007 (any way of abbreviating that name)?.. But then I can't stand any of these trendy TV chefs, they're all pukey!.. And that's in spite of having grown up with one of them, 'Tony Allen' of 'Tony & Giorgio' fame, dunno if you've seen it on the Telly? Anyway, he was actually a drinking buddy through most of my twenties & thirties, but he became rather 'unpalatable' (excuse the pun) when he acquired his fame!

I'm of the Gordon Kerr (remember him 'The Galloping Gourmet)& Fanny Craddock 'school'... And I've always had a bit of a soft spot for Delia Smith too!.. My God, have you ever seen that woman beating eggs in a low cut top??.. That just about finishes me off man! :hair: :nurse:.. Phew! :hot:

Yeah it was both Gordon Ramsey's bad language & attitude that got him so deeply stitched under my skin... And yeah, I know I can be pretty foul mouthed & vulgar on this forum, but that's just banter & going with the flow of a certain type of thread & I do at least try to attach some wit to it, even if it doesn't always come across, it's a bit of an act if you like... But this actually happens to be how Mr. Ramsey is!

I haven't seen the program yet as I live in CMX, that's why I was hoping someone here might have recorded it... I just want to see my lil' chums from Marina's on the telly & a bit of Chiang Mai, that's all. :hair:

However, since you've relayed what his behavior was like towards a monk in a Thai temple, I'm not so sure I really need to see it now? =@

I've got it, someone's posted the whole episode on Youtube!.. The Marina Bar encounter comes in at about 10.10... I know the three 'best looking' LBs intimately well  & two of them don't even work for Marina, they're from Shamrock Bar at the other end of the beer bar centre, Marina obviously coaxed them in for the cameras... Because they're pretty, of course (I just still can't believe that they've been on the telly in the UK)!@*????!!

And yeah, what a fuckin' aresole Ramsey is!
