A review of the year.

I know there are a few days to go but I doubt if anything major is going to happen in my life and especially that concerning lb's and this forum before Jan 1.

The beginning of the year was a continuation of the situation, of the frustration in dealing with the abomination, that is as a result of the vaccination situation. 

My continual  frustration at having to deal with not being allowed to travel where and when I want has led to it being a very trying year. The on and off of governments changing their minds and every Tom, Dick ,and Harriet professing to be health experts, leading to mass confusion. I have tended to switch off when another of the aforementioned make their latest statement regarding covid. If I see another news camera focusing on another arm being jabbed, I will scream!.

Back to lbs., etc. Not being able to travel to Thailand has made physical contact impossible with my gf. Line or Messenger is the only contact we have.

She is battling it out in her very substandard house. I feel for her. I must say she is coping quite well.

Thank god for this forum as it is the only way that we can keep in touch with what is going on in LOS. From watching Youtube videos etc, it looks like there is some activity developing, but the downside of that is the doom and gloom merchants telling us that the scene will change and it is being developed for the mass tourist market, (ala Chines bus tours etc), and that girly bars will disappear.

My prediction is that Walking St will change,(no great loss), and that Soli Bukhao, LK Metro, Soi Chaiyapoon will become the bar scene area. More so than now.

Of course I cannot finish my years story without mentioning probably the greatest loss of someone in my life apart from my parents. That is the passing away of Brett/ ala Stoolpusher in October. To see a guy that I thought was bulletproof, go from healthy to passing away in 2 months was something that I am still having trouble dealing with. I am in contact with his partner Dao,( and another close friend, fellow BM Cobber 32), and try to add whatever support I can, but once again the tyranny of distance raises it's head.

I am trying not to mention Covid too much but it does influence our lives so much it is difficult not to. Once some form of normality returns I will go back to Pattaya, that is for sure.

Lets hope 2022 is a better year?.

Hopefully that is in the coming year Woodie….but we can never be sure anymore alas.  Brett’s passing came as a huge shock to many no doubt, a reminder we can’t take anything for granted and to make the most of our opportunities while we can.  Catch you later next year if things go to plan :)

One thing I've noticed over the years

2021 was one of the best years on record for The Sith.

This is the Yang placed adjacent to the Yin of 2020, which was likely the shittiest year on record for The Sith.

2020 was terrifying.....and also devastating financially for me, plus I injured myself from not exercising, and my life was completely devoid of shagging.... until I made a decision to change my life.....and started digging into the local weeds to find the sexy gems starting around Sept/Oct of 2020. Not sure I follow you now. My life hasn't changed much, no personal horrific experiences but Covid/China fucked the world over for 2 years now and we haven't even begun to see all damages especially mentally as you eluded .The recession a la 1920s someone back then predicted obviously never happened thank fuck, but on other levels its unmeasurable.

Yes they get taxed to pay for it, and yes hopefully that taxation applies to the rich and the lower paid.No sytem is perfect, that's for sure.
