  2. I think one of the guys who owned Irish Rovers opened up Retox.
  3. T-Mac, Looks like your notification options are configured such that you receive an email notification when someone Likes your post.
  4. You walk into a bar and almost immediately you get swarmed by one or more bargirls. If you are with a mate, you can just blank the intruders and talk with your friend. But what if you're alone? How do you get rid of the her? Maybe you just want a quiet beer alone as you scope the place out? Maybe you actually want some company but don't want the one forcing herself on you? I often say that I'm just here to drink my beer but in Cambodia they generally just keep standing there next to you as that's what they're told to do. It'd be good if they had the two sided red/green beermats like they do at Pattaya Beer Garden but even if they did and you pointed to the red, they'd probably still stand there.
  5. Welcome back AB! You're a warrior! See ya in 2017!
  6. My thoughts revolve around how important location is to you as even the South Pattaya location is not ideal. When bringing a ladyboy home, you'll pretty much have to use a mototaxi. If you are renting your own moto and using it to go to bars at night, then the location is good. If location and (a small) pool are important to you some guys have been happy at the RCon Blue, near Action Street.
  7. Cocco Resort fits this criteria. Only reason why it's so cheap is that it's 400 meters up a hill to the baht bus. But going home it's all downhill. The Rebel Alliance Pool Party was held here so by definition it's ladyboy friendly. http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/3-pattaya-accommodation/?p=675
  8. This hotel is in an out of the way area of Jomtien. It's so far down Jomtien Beach Road that before your destination, the baht bus driver will stop and ask for more money. The location is best suited for a guy who goes out to bars twice a week and has a live -in. Actually, most people who stay down there are families as it's not a monger area. I happen to like Jomtien and an out of the way spot would be good for a guy like me, but this part of Jomtien, way past Sally's, is not well suited for the needs of most mongers. http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/441-pattaya-hotels/?p=1008
  9. Thai bouncers vs Brit tourists on Khao San Road.
  10. Aun has passed on. I first got to know her when she was the manager/mamasan at Corner Bar. She was a sweetheart, always up for some good banter and was extremely good at making her customers feel at home. She was a reason that so many of our crowd hung out at Corner. She had very strong leadership skills so Corner always ran smoothly. In later years she moved on to Fantasy Lounge and most recently Duangjai Bar on Soi LK Metro. She will be missed, a shining light for sure. RIP Aun.
  11. For those so inclined the So Dom Fetish Club has opened at The Castle. http://sodomfetishclubpattaya.com
  12. Don't worry; it's not terrorism. Just "local sabotage" Notmuch consolation to the friends and families of the deceased. RIP
  13. An ice cold SML for 55 baht or Johnnie Black on the rocks for 100 is a damn good deal for an air conditioned ladyboy bar.
  14. It passed in principal with some details to be ironed out. They are now saying that expats such as those with a work, retirement, or marriage visa are exempt. But communicating this to the smiling face behind the 7/11 counter may not be so easy. The powers that be might wonder though why a certain Khun Globetrotter is always on the second floor be it on Soi 6 or Soi BJ.
  15. We'll see if this comes to pass.
  16. What percentage (within + or - 3%) of counties did Obama carry in 2012?
