  1. It sure does! Thanks mate! I booked it. What's nice is that many hotels on Booking.com have free cancelation, in this case up to the day of the reservation. So you can lock in a good deal even if you aren't 100% sure. Here's a link to the hotel on Asia Hotel And Travel. Christopher B&B If using Booking.com or Agoda please use the links on our sister site Asia Hotel and Travel as we earn a small commission which helps defray teh operating expenses of LBR. Thanks! Think I'll just take the Victory Liner down from Angeles for 150 pisos. This guesthouse does not look very far from the Victory Liner terminal.
  2. Qatar is making a big deal about this sale calling it the Qatar Travel Festival and billing it as their best sale of the year. Edinburgh to Phuket for 399 quid isn't too shabby. Qatar Travel Festival
  3. Etihad and Qatar are both having worldwide sales/ Etihad's starts on Sunday, August 28th. http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/452-etihad-worldwide-sale/ Qatar's starts on Monday, August 29th. http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/453-qatar-world-wide-sale/ If booking through the Etihad or Qatar websites, the crew at LBR would sure appreciate it if you access those sites via links on Asia Hotel and Travel. Thanks!
  4. Have never stayed in Manila before but loos like I'll be staying there for one night. I'd like a place that is close to the Swagman or Southern Cross busses. Ideally if it's not raining, I'd like to be able to walk from the bus station. I just don't feel like dealing with Manila cab drivers if I have luggage. The place should also be close to the airport as I don't want to get caught in traffic in the morning. It's for one night only, so quality really doesn't matter much. I'm not only looking for a hotel recommendation but also if I should be staying in Ermita near the Swagman and Souther Cross busses or will it be just as easy to stay in Makati. So Ermita or Makati? Have no intention of bringing a ladyboy back to my room. Or stay in Ermita and take a cab to/from Makati at night. It's one night in Manila. Where should I stay and what should I do?
  5. I've been using Skyscanner quite a bit. The problem with Airfare Watchdog is that it's confusing with lots of choices and popups. But Skyscanner is clean, quick, and simple. If doing airfare searches on either site, we'd appreciate it if you'd access by way of our links on Asia Hotel ad Travel. Thanks! http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/340-skyscanner/ http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/406-airfare-watchdog/
  6. I agree. The two exceptions would be draft beer and cigarettes. There'a restaurant I eat at quite a bit on 172 called Happy Pizza. Very nice owners and the food is inexpensive compared to other joints on 172. Draft beer is only 50 cents all day, all night long, so it's a good place to drink with mates. But I'm spending more on food in PP because I'm eating mostly Western food. You get more for your money in Pattaya with regard to hotels. As far as ladies and ladies Pattaya has such an abundance of freelancers that you never have to pay a barfine unless you want to. In PP this is not really the case. Quite a small selection of ladyboys and most of them work in the bars. If one pays their $30 asking price plus a $10 barfine that's 40 bucks which might be chump change to a guy on holiday but a budget denter for expats. Plus you've probably bought a couple beers for yourself and a ladydrink. Compares quite poorly to the street price of $15 for ladyboys in Angeles City. Although there are happy hour specials the standard price of a beer in a hostess bar is $1.50 and the standard price for a ladydrink is $3.50. Phnom Penh has its charm and it's worth checking out. But it's not a bargain and their aren't that many ladyboys.

  8. I think one of the guys who owned Irish Rovers opened up Retox.
  9. T-Mac, Looks like your notification options are configured such that you receive an email notification when someone Likes your post.
  10. You walk into a bar and almost immediately you get swarmed by one or more bargirls. If you are with a mate, you can just blank the intruders and talk with your friend. But what if you're alone? How do you get rid of the her? Maybe you just want a quiet beer alone as you scope the place out? Maybe you actually want some company but don't want the one forcing herself on you? I often say that I'm just here to drink my beer but in Cambodia they generally just keep standing there next to you as that's what they're told to do. It'd be good if they had the two sided red/green beermats like they do at Pattaya Beer Garden but even if they did and you pointed to the red, they'd probably still stand there.
  11. Welcome back AB! You're a warrior! See ya in 2017!
  12. My thoughts revolve around how important location is to you as even the South Pattaya location is not ideal. When bringing a ladyboy home, you'll pretty much have to use a mototaxi. If you are renting your own moto and using it to go to bars at night, then the location is good. If location and (a small) pool are important to you some guys have been happy at the RCon Blue, near Action Street.
  13. Cocco Resort fits this criteria. Only reason why it's so cheap is that it's 400 meters up a hill to the baht bus. But going home it's all downhill. The Rebel Alliance Pool Party was held here so by definition it's ladyboy friendly. http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/3-pattaya-accommodation/?p=675
  14. This hotel is in an out of the way area of Jomtien. It's so far down Jomtien Beach Road that before your destination, the baht bus driver will stop and ask for more money. The location is best suited for a guy who goes out to bars twice a week and has a live -in. Actually, most people who stay down there are families as it's not a monger area. I happen to like Jomtien and an out of the way spot would be good for a guy like me, but this part of Jomtien, way past Sally's, is not well suited for the needs of most mongers. http://www.asiahotelandtravel.com/index.php/topic/441-pattaya-hotels/?p=1008
