  1. I'm not clued into the drug scene but one friend of mine in the know was saying that about half the girls are users and so are a surprising number of expats with some of them being dealers. IMO, it's not too smart to sell drugs outside your home country unless you have police protection. But I'm oblivious to most of it and don't think my better half's coworkers, mostly older Issan ladies, are users. Of course, it's easy to spot the high as a kite ladyboy but I generally don't clock the social users. But when a hong nam has a very strange smell that's neither shit nor weed, I figure someone has been smoking ice or something similar.

The price he said he paid was just slightly more than $1000 USD which seems like a good deal for biz class if that includes both legs of the journey and assuming he didn't get some sort of free upgrade. But I suppose Egypt Air biz class is somewhere between Premium Economy and true Business Class. He says that parents are inconsiderate if they fly in biz class with their kids. Guess he feels I should be stuck with them in steerage! Actually, I don't quite understand why someone close to 2 years old should fly for free. Maybe better to fly an adult only party plane such as Venga Airways.
  3. Everyone uses words differently. I used to refer to the gay mincers who would easily be a super cute ladyboy if he wore different clothes and had longer hair as femboys. But then lots of forum guys starting using the word femboys to mean flat chested ladyboys. Language evolves. Make the Yuletide gay! BTS is certainly the most popular KPOP boy band. All their members are 21+. I'm talking about age, not centimeters. Debate within The Army, as the BTS fandom is called, sometimes centers on which ones are gay. Southeast Asian teenage girls talk about which BTS member is cutest much like teenage girls generations ago would discuss the merits of John vs Paul. I find super cute femmy types who don't have hairy calves and who also exhibit feminine energy quite attractive but they are rare and most contenders are a bridge too far. And many Thai ladymen refer to mincer types as ladyboys while I would call them gay. As Pacman, a prolific forum poster from the last decade exclaimed, "she took off her clothes and she was a boy".
  4. Here is what was happening at TJ's Music Bar last night. To see more pool table pics at TJ's go http://www.ladyboyreview.com/index.php?/topic/5013-tjs-bar-naklua/page/10/
  5. Except the flat chested beauty in red just got tits about a week ago.

Qantas is choosing Airbus over Boeing as a partner to fly the world's longest passenger routes. It's yet another blow to the embattled American aircraft maker, which continues to weather fallout from the 737 Max crisis. The Australian carrier announced Friday that it would use Airbus planes for "Project Sunrise," which intends to eventually operate regular non-stop flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to London and New York. The 19-hour journeys would be the longest passenger flights ever run by a commercial airline. They are still in the research phase. Qantas (QABSY) said in its statement Friday that it had not yet placed an order for Airbus planes. But it added that it would work with Airbus to draft a deal for up to 12 planes that will be presented to the airline's board. Both aircraft makers had pitched their jets to Qantas in a competitive months-long process, with Boeing (BA) offering up the 777X and Airbus (EADSF) the A350. Qantas CEO Alan Joyce called the decision "a tough choice" that was "made even harder by innovation from both manufacturers to improve on what they had already spent years designing." Airbus would add an extra fuel tank to the A350, which was selected for the project, and "slightly increase the maximum takeoff weight to deliver the performance required" on the new routes, Qantas said. "From the outset, we've been clear that Project Sunrise depends on a business case that works. We'll only commit to this investment if we know it will generate the right return for our shareholders given the inherent commercial risks," Joyce said in his statement. In addition to tailoring its aircraft, Airbus gave Qantas more time to decide whether it would confirm an order for the jets, the airline said. Qantas said this played a role in its decision, particularly as it's still negotiating how it would compensate its cabin crew for the flights, which could entail working for up to 22 hours straight. So far, the company says it has offered pilots a host of suggestions, including a 3% annual raise. Boeing has had a terrible year, mostly because of its grounded 737 Max jet. The planes stopped flying in March after the second of two fatal crashes, and they won't be approved to fly again before the end of the year, according to US regulators. While Boeing's stock has recorded gains this year, it's still down 22% from a high in March before a Max plane crashed in Ethiopia. So far, Qantas has conducted two out of its three planned test flights. The final experiment is slated for next week, with a decision on whether to proceed expected in March, the carrier said. https://edition.cnn.com/2019/12/13/business/airbus-qantas-boeing-project-sunrise/index.html
  7. Any hassles with downloaded music? I guess these days with Spotify playlists there is no real reason to have pirated music. Was surprised one evening at New Bar to hear Simon & Garfunkel at a very low volume. One of my pet peeves is a bar that won't turn down the volume when me and a mate are the only customers in the joint. I get that they think that the music will attract passerbyers into the bar but what about taking care of the customers that you already have inside inside the bar? Some bars, not yours, think that taking care of a customer is asking repeatedly for a ladydrink.
  8. Never met the majority of the nominees but for next year perhaps Em will be nominated for Best Barowner. She didn't mess with a winning formula and is always nice to me and mates sometimes sending over a round on the house.
  9. My mate stays in the Urban every winter and one year he was on that side of that building and had two problems. He was on a low floor by a tree and there lots of flying critters. And motobike taxi guys were yapping outside all night. That's changed as they built a Thai restaurant there. Very simple construction which wouldn't be expensive to demolish if they wanted to develop the lot. Actually he had a third problem there as his lady dejour kept biting his manhood so he had to throw her out. But that could have happened anywhere. Now he has moved to the other side of the building and is quite happy there. The units there are bigger than elsewhere, but I don't like the cheap floors. Would much rather have tiles than fake wood.
  10. She'd be quite the stocking stuffer!
  11. I think Soi 15 is a great place to live. Rental prices are coming down now that Grand Avenue units are available. One guy just signed a year's lease for a small 35 sq meter one bedroom for 14K. I guess you prefer City Garden to the Urban or you wouldn't have moved? I'm more familiar with the Urban. Does City Garden have any unforseen negatives?
  12. That's my experience too Petesie! Your cat watching himself on TV is brilliant concept!
  13. Yes. And this happens to be good for LBR administration because guys can't get mad at us for being booted because it is not our call. We still have to think through the implications of Open Clubs and problems they might cause for us though.
  14. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel! Congrats Petesie! Thanks for the insight into rents. I enjoy poring over numbers so quite interesting to me. Guess if rooms are refurbished enough so they can be rented to farang for about 10K a month then some of the bars with rooms above can be a moneymaker. But it doesn't seem to be an easy way to make a living.
  15. Seven covered your questions well, but let me elaborate a bit. 1) Most guys use the Upvote feature as simply an alternative to a Like. The guys who do that probably are active on Reddit. In the past, a Forum Member could choose whether to sort chronologically or by upvotes. Nobody ever told me that they sorted by Upvote; not even once. Invision comes out with frequent Forum upgrades and updates and I can no longer find a button that toggles between Standard sort and Upvote sort.. Some upgrade probably changed certain default administrative settings. There must be a way to bring it back but I'm not sure if it would be at all useful for our forum. Also I think that maybe certain sub-forums have the upvote feature and others don't. One of these days I'll look into it further. 2) I am also a big Antartico fan. His femboys are more my type (very pretty flat chested beauties) than those of any other poster. The Lounge and other Private areas of LBR provide a higher level of security than can be found elsewhere. A pic poster is much less likely to get "heroed" on LBR than elsewhere. But that's mainly due to the fact that fewer guys are seeing the pics. Since guys are posting their pics so that other guys can see them, some posters might get discouraged by the limited feedback they receive due to the limited audience. I suspect, but don't really know, if that is what happened to Antartico. We didn't think that The Lounge offered the security that some guys wanted. So we offered our Members the option of opening a Private Room, a super restricted area, where the Private Room owner had control over exactly who could see their posts. We tried to keep the existence of these rooms secret so that nobody would be offended if they weren't invited to a guy's room. So there is no list of Private Rooms anywhere. Every Private Room Owner's priorities were different. Some wanted only a few good friends who they knew personally. Others didn't want guys perceived as big mouth heroes who would get the poster in trouble with ladyboys. Most of these rooms are no longer active and in some cases the guy who started the Private Room is no longer with us. 3) There are no existing Clubs except for "test clubs" that BB and I are fooling around with today. As a result of our tests there will be no new Private Rooms and instead going forward we will only use the Club Feature. What we like about the Clubs is that guys can set up their own club without having to get Mods involved with the setup. So guys, feel free too fool around by setting up some "test clubs" to see how it works. If you like the way the software operates and feel the need to have a a super restricted audience of your choosing then set a real Club up and invite your mates. http://www.ladyboyreview.com/index.php?/clubs/ Rom, your post was the impetus for us to explore the Club feature so thanks! I know that you have many fans and also heard you have some detractors. If you decide to set up a Club for extremely sensitive posts you can invite whoever you want so that the Club is exactly to your liking. If anyone gives you any shit you can just eject them from your Club. But The Lounge is secure enough for most guys. There are no ladyboys in The Lounge. If you wanted to, you could put ladyboys (or a non-Lounge Member) in your Club. 4) In the LadyboyForumWorld there are perhaps a couple dozen legendary mongers. What sets Ernesto apart form the other legends is that he did not restrict his activity to Thailand/Philippines or even places like Cambodia/Bali, but instead he would venture to off the beaten track spots such as Borneo in search of ladyboy dick.
  16. So sounds like she is a freelancer. Don't need her driving customers away.
  17. Irishman beaten senseless on Soi 7 by 10 Thais less than 24 hours after he arrived in Sodom By The Sea.
  18. What a crazy drive home Alaskan Bear! Welcome back! The way your car was sliding on the bridge it looked you might have gone over the side of the bridge which I guess is the way some bad romances end! It's nice driving on empty roads though. Not a baht bus in sight! I compressed the video and hopefully it will now show here. It was not viewable before. abdrive.mp4
  19. He does not mention Cebu Square where the freelancers hung out and one could have a quiet Red Horse or San Mig Lite at pleasant tables outside for 50 or 60 pisos. And discos upstairs. I had heard the complex closed down but am not really sure. But doubt he could have missed it so I guess it is closed or at least different than 5 years ago. It was a good alternative for guys who don't like the dating app concept although guys tell me that Pina Love is the way to go in Cebu.
  20. These are the absolute lows of the day, which would be night time temperature, hopefully not taken with an anal thermometer. https://www.timeanddate.com/weather/thailand/pattaya/historic
  21. Took a look at this site. Seems useful for guys who want to extend their Sim's validity from abroad so they don't lose their number.
  22. The last week is probably the longest extended cold spell that I can remember in Pattaya. The last few days the low of the day was 18 degrees (64 Farenheit). I'm not complaining but my pool doesn't get much sun so I haven't been swimming but luckily I do have a sauna. Do you guys like it when it's this cold?
  23. Vern lost his defamation lawsuit. Some speculate that jury selection played a part as the young social media savvy jury might have saw things differently than old farts would have.
  24. So how DO the bars survive? I suppose there are some situations where a farang is financing a bar for his girlfriend by paying the key money and maybe even the rent so the Thai barowner just needs to have positive cash flow rather than an actual profit. Would be cheaper to just give the girl money but some farangs like the idea of owning a bar. Guess if you own a bar you get your own special table and can pick the music you want to hear. Then I guess there are situations where the barowner also rents out upstairs rooms and if the rooms cover the total rent then one way to look at it (incorrectly) is that the bar is rent free. I also think there is a trend towards freelance hostess staff with perhaps the the cashier being the only salaried staff. I guess this works best if your primary concern is not losing money as opposed to making money which makes good sense in an economic downturn. Of course, this makes it more difficult to force the staff to show up every day so if for example there is a big morlam and all the ladyboys go to the morlam then there are no staff available for customers. (I would imagine that the big morlam held on December 5th probably had a 1000 ladyboys in the audience). One night at Katty Bar there was no staff except for Teya which was just fine with me but then my buddy wanted to barfine Teya so she had to call Emmy who appeared sleepy eyed from upstairs. In the massage business it is standard that the girls are not salaried and just get a cut of the massage price plus tips. So where my girlfriend works there is no salary, just a cut and tips and she still has to clean the joint one day a week. When she operated her own beach massage place, her workers were expected to set up and break down the place every day with her and share the non massage workload even though they weren't on salary. Except for the most successful operations the farang barowner is just buying a job. He is forced to be on premises most of the time unless he has a honest cashier. And if he has an outgoing personality that draws in customers then he must be at the bar most of the time to entertain them which probably gets old quick. I guess there will be a Darwinian shakeout, the strong will survive and perhaps rents will come down creating a more positive business environment. But it seems the Chaiyapoon/Treetown area is on an upswing so even in bad times there are areas that are prospering.
