actually you are correct Cowpoke. there aren't that many decent priced places here nowadays. But,the English breakfast thing doesn't interest me too much, i have one every 2-3 weeks perhaps. Fave place at the moment is 'Moonshine' next door to the old Katty Bar on soi 4 Jomty. They do an American breakfast, which is much more to my liking.. crispy bacon etc. Anyway I'm much more of a Weetabix/.bananas man for breakfast nowadays. looking forwards to Cheap Charlies opening i must say. Just for the ease of getting a full meal sometimes, without having to go into Pattaya, which is still a bit difficult. Quinn, where is it going to be? Single unit on the block before Roadhouse or the Old Bannermans/Ballermans?

During my recent visit to Pattaya I needed a trim etc. As I was staying at the Klang end of Soi Bukhao it did not take long to find a hairdresser. First one on the right heading south. Sat in the chair as directed by the girl who turned out to be the owner. Very nice, I would say early 40's. She asked if i wanted a massage also as a bit of a stunner walked out from the back. Early 20's with her boobs exposed in a low cut dress. Now, was that a trap to wind me in ?????. Anyway, had the haircut and then it was suggested that maybe a colour would be good. The younger one took over. So for 800 baht I got a haircut, colour, and a pair of 34b boobs in my face. Great job and the visual stimulation alone worth it. Not 100% sure if she was a lb. Leaning towards being a gg. Said she had a bf from Canada. A great distraction for 90 minutes or so.

I don't have enough hair to require colouring! I usually have a haircut and shave in the barbers in Jomtien Rompho, it's 120 baht for a haircut and 100 baht for a shave iirc. There are half a dozen barber shops on the left hand side as you come into the bar area. Four had lady barbers, and two had men. Last time I went into one, I started taking off my sandals as I stepped in and the lady said something. I didn't know what she said so I pointed at my sandals and asked if I should take them off. She said yes so I took them off and sat on a bench to wait for my turn. The lady called another younger woman over who came with a box of various bottles of what looked like nail polish. They obviously thought I wanted a pedicure. I said no I want a haircut and shave. When I sat in the barber's chair I repeated I wanted a haircut and shave. She started whipping up her jug of shaving cream with a brush. I thought she was going to shave me before cutting my hair, but she lathered up my head. I realised she was going to shave my head, but thought I would just go along with it. So she shaved my head, then my face. A shorter hair cut than I usually go for, but it cost the same.

That was one of the songs in the repertoire of the ladyboy singer who used to sing at several bars around Jomtien and Pattaya, including Party Girls, Red Carpet Bar and the Venue. She really belted it out. Yes the lbs like lively boppy dance music. That's why they they request BoneyM songs in Emmy's Bar much to bbg's chagrin.

sadly he's bowing to youtube algorithm pressure and now spends WAY too much time showing lux resort spots...tho it IS funny to watch him strip off his shirt and have a splash around in an infinity pool with a great view :) He also puts light on really reasonable places to stay, like in Phuket he's paying 500 baht a night for an upper floor apt. near the beach. He does usually give a non tourist overview of a place, the Koh Tao vids were quite good.

No way are we letting PD or Quietguy [The Booster Brothers] anywhere near. Seven can be a guest judge when he gets over if he wants. At the moment Emmy you and Delirious seem to be making the running. It's early days still, but here's a tip Emmy, any bar that plays Rhinestone feckin' Cowboy or Country feckin' Roads faces automatic points deduction. Well, if myself or Quinn are in the bar anyway. So good luck with the Annabelle award Emmy. Of course we have no idea yet who will win... hopefully Anna b herself will get over here to present the award to whoever wins later this year. Bumblebee, get off your arse and get over to Peterboro' to arrange matters with her... Take your camera too. If you pay her flight, i'll arrange free lodgings for her... ** ...ah! I just watched the entire second series of Top Boy on Netflix in a week. It's sort of like a black Gomorrah, with the Italian Napoli drug gangs replaced by black London drug gangs. I'll have to catch up with Series 1 now, and then Series 3 and 4.

I observed first hand the girls and of course Herbert. A nice guy and very welcoming. A lesson for other bar owners!. Had a good night overall apart from a discussion with a previous bar manager of well known bars now retired. Never mind it cant be all perfect. A great atmosphere in the place.
