JaiDee
Hmmmm, I guess that last picture wasn't clear enough and seems to be taken from a weird angle, so I will give the answer; it's a small city named Bangkok, in the country of Thailand. Quote Link to comment
ArchieBunker
Think this is San Fran. Japantown to be specific. I recognise that tower.... 1 Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Can anyone get this city before Route67 wakes up? Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Which, as anyone who has has spoken to a Scotsman would know, is pronounced "Ed -in- brrrr" A wee bit harder this time.....this is the city of Suva, which is the capital of which country? Quote Link to comment
DownLoLarry
A wee bit harder this time.....this is the city of Suva, which is the capital of which country? Fiji? Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Got it Larry, looks like a nice place too..... Quote Link to comment
ArchieBunker
Actually spent a lot of time one winter about 25 years ago in Fiji. We would work 11 day (or so ) rotations JFK-LAX rest over night LAX-HNL-FIJI (it was nadi I forget the code) rest 2/3 days-Fiji-Mel overnight MEL-FIJI rest 2/3 days FIJI-HNL-LAX rest over night the LAX-JFK. Did this in the winter months and I had quite a tan during the winter. We stayed right by the airport in Nadi-nice place but not a lot to do. Food was cheap enough though and the locals were friendly enough. I must say I have traveled to over 60 countries and Fijis women were butt ugly. I dont think I ever saw any lookers. Lefty
Think this is San Fran. Japantown to be specific. I recognise that tower.... Thanks. I was not 100% sure but was thinking the same thing due to the tower. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
Jakarta, I think. Not Jakarta, anyone else? Quote Link to comment
pdogg
Jakarta, I think. I'll go with Jersey City Quote Link to comment
Hefe
Too easy for me, surprised pdogg didn't catch this either. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
It's actually lower Manhattan with the new World Trade center {freedom tower?} taken from Weehawken, NJ, just across the river. The city so great they named it twice! Quote Link to comment
pdogg
The second building from the left is unusual because it has hardly any windows. The third building is much taller and the fourth very short. What's the name and claim to fame of the fifth building from the left? Quote Link to comment
Hefe
Hah, now you're going to try & nickel & dime your way out of not getting it? Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
I think PD knew the skyline all along but was saying the soccer field and track were in Jersey City, which is only a few miles from Weehawken. No way a mid-level city like JC has a skyline like that! Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
The stars line up perfectly with this walkway every year in May, the locals call it the Heaven's Trail. Which country? 1 Quote Link to comment
pdogg
The fifth building from the left was the tallest building in the world for over 15 years. What's the name of the building? Hefe's clue is excellent but perhaps a bit too subtle for non-Americans. Quote Link to comment
JaiDee
The Woolworth's building? The pic of the stars, the ''Heaven's Trail'' is from Ireland. Quote Link to comment
pdogg
The Woolworth's building? Correctomundo. And it ain't that big. Used to swim in the basement pool a few times a week. Quote Link to comment
