The pics they post always look quite appealing to me. But when I visit, it's nothing like that at all. Pushy girls, barely speak English and above all, no nice atmosphere. So for me, their pics are sufficient

Although my hotel reviews can't be as extended as the ones @Stealth007 is providing, I will share some of my experiences. The City Garden Hotel, is around the corner of P. Burgos street (Makati). It has all basics, is clean and affordable. Unlike a lot of other hotels, it still has smoking rooms available. But again ... pretty basic. Somerset Olympia is on walking distance from Greenbelt in Makati. No smoking rooms available. A little tacky, small rooms. The breakfast was horrible. For sure a place I won't go back. Somerset Millenium (Legazpi Village, Makati) was out of these 3 my favorite. It's more expensive than the other ones, but has beautiful, big rooms. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast is awesome (you can order several dishes 'a la carte' which includes for example an excellent Nasi Lemak). A few minutes walk from Greenbelt. For both Somerset hotels, a taxi is required to visit P. Burgos Street, unless you want to take a loooong walk.

I've spend quite some time during Covid in Vietnam. Since flying back to Europe wasn't possible anymore, my stay got exteded many times. Lockdown in HCMC was really boring, all bars closed. But after lockdown, things went back to pretty normal quite fast. I've visited a lot of 'hostess' bars, with an occasional lb here and there. But ladyboy bars ... really wondering where you found them @Pulci Gorgon
