There might be a bit more inter-lb friction, possibly due to more substance abuse which can cause aggression. Is the Vietnam scene more peaceful?
Pulci Gorgon
Yes it is. The issue is that the VN scene is somewhat too peaceful. By the way, I began seriously exploring countries outside of Thailand after feeling that the Thai scene was becoming either unsafe, rife with scams, or plagued by excessively high prices.
Pdoggg
A British man fatally stabbed a Japanese man after a fight in Pattaya on December 29th. At 06:06 AM, Pattaya police received a report of a violent fight on Pattaya Third Road. Following the report, police, along with rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation and The Pattaya News reporters, rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, authorities found Mr. Seita Tanabe, a 27-year-old Japanese man, who had been stabbed in the chest with a knife and was bleeding heavily. Rescue workers provided first aid and performed CPR before rushing him to the hospital. However, he was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The other person involved, identified by police only as Mr. David, a 36-year-old British-Thai man, was found with a swollen face, body scratches, and a torn shirt. He appeared heavily intoxicated. Mr. David was reported to have stabbed Mr. Seita. He reportedly showed no remorse at the scene as he made an “I love you” gesture to officers while being arrested and appeared to be smirking in photos taken after the horrific incident. A knife used in the attack was found at the scene and was collected as evidence. An eyewitness, identified only as Mr. Bank, last name withheld by request, told The Pattaya News that before the incident, he and Mr. Seita saw Mr. David arguing with his foreign girlfriend. Both he and Mr. Seita tried to stop the argument, which caused Mr. David to punch Mr. Seita in the face. The nature of the argument with the foreign woman and her identity were not disclosed by Pattaya police as of press time. Mr. Bank then tried to separate the two, but shortly afterward, Mr. Seita retaliated by punching Mr. David. The situation escalated when Mr. David drew a knife and stabbed Mr. Seita in the chest, causing him to collapse in front of everyone. Police arrived shortly after and arrested Mr. David. The suspect was transported to the hospital for treatment of a dislocated shoulder. However, once at the hospital, the deceased’s girlfriend and a group of the deceased’s friends arrived at the hospital enraged as they shouted and attempted to attack the suspect. Police intervened and moved him to the police station before the situation escalated. Pattaya police are continuing their investigation to take legal action against the suspect. Potter
Alcohol & Weed do not mix. Your better off buying what you need during the day and have a smoke on your balcony at the end of the night. Thai Grass is a real creeper, you smoke a joint don't feel anything lol. Then smoke #2, it's start kicking in big time. Before you know it you well and truly smashed. Also recommend, purchasing a bucket for the balcony just incase you vomit, depending on your constitution and tolerance. Also this money transfer shit is no good when Stoned 555. Cash is always king in Thailand and always pay and watch that bin like a hawk. Probably the Hungarian did not speak very little English and things spiralled out of control quickly. Pdoggg
Officers, both in uniform and plainclothes, conducted surveillance along Pattaya Beach, where suspects were observed loitering near coconut trees, approaching tourists, and offering sexual services. During the operation, authorities apprehended 13 foreign nationals—seven from Uzbekistan and six from Uganda. Some were found to be overstaying their visas, while others held student visas, raising suspicions. Searches of the women’s purses uncovered lubricants and condoms of various sizes, further indicating illicit activities. All 13 suspects were detained for violating prostitution laws, with two also charged for overstaying their visas. They were handed over to Pattaya City Police for legal proceedings, with visa revocations and deportation processes underway.
Potter
No doubt this will end up in the more main stream Pattaya Media. Apparently on Buddha days, bars will be able to sell Alcohol (not as if it stopped certain bars anyway 555). I have mixed feelings on this. I stock up on booze in the hotel room. I know it's permitted to have alcohol in hotel lobbies and airport lounges on the "BD's". Do you think the authorities have taken things to far? I will add the YT link later when it reappears in my feed, apologies.

Pdoggg
The 22-year-old British tourist accused of killing a woman while attempting a motorbike stunt in Pattaya could now face up to 10 years in prison after the victim died in hospital. Brandon Mills, from Doncaster, was riding a rented scooter on the night of 14 August when he allegedly tried to perform a wheelie but lost control, slamming into 49-year-old mother-of-two, Jurairat Petchraksa, as she left a local bar on her Honda motorcycle. Jurairat was found by emergency services lying in a pool of blood and rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite days of treatment, she succumbed to her injuries. Mills was initially charged with reckless driving causing serious injury, an offence carrying up to three years in prison, but police confirmed the charge has now been upgraded to reckless driving causing death, which carries a penalty of up to 10 years in jail and a fine of up to 200,000 baht. Police Lieutenant Colonel Itthiporn said:“The suspect was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but he admitted causing the accident. More evidence and witness statements are being collected, and we are awaiting a full forensic report into the cause of death. He will not be allowed to leave Thailand.” Mills, who was reportedly beaten by angry onlookers in the aftermath of the crash, has been released from custody but has now had his passport confiscated. He has also made a compensation payment of 30,000 baht to the victim’s family towards medical costs. Tributes have since poured in for Jurairat, described by friends as “everyone’s angel”. One mourner said: Questions remain over Mills’ identity, after some local media referred to him as Brandon James Holmes. UK reports suggest he is the same man convicted in Sheffield in 2022 for dealing heroin and crack cocaine, when he received a suspended custodial sentence. Police are expected to submit their findings to prosecutors once the hospital’s forensic report is complete. There are local media rumours that he has already fled illegally across the border into a neighbouring country, but authorities have not confirmed this. Pdoggg
Transgender Woman Attacks Indian Tourist with High Heel in Pattaya Beach Incident On September 5th, 2025, at approximately 3:03 AM, a violent altercation occurred at Pattaya Beach near the Baywalk project. The victim, Mr. Chandra, a 25-year-old Indian tourist, filed a complaint with Police Sub-Lieutenant Wutthinan Kongdee, an investigator at Pattaya City Police Station. According to the investigation, the assailant was identified as Ms. Mintra, a 29-year-old transgender woman. Ms. Mintra told The Pattaya News that while standing on the beach, Mr. Chandra approached her to inquire about the cost of her services as an escort. She quoted 1,000 baht for a short-term encounter and 4,000 baht for an overnight stay. The tourist agreed to the overnight rate but insisted on verifying her gender. The situation escalated when Mr. Chandra allegedly touched Ms. Mintra’s private parts in a manner that caused pain and discomfort. Infuriated, Ms. Mintra struck the tourist on the head with her high-heeled shoe two to three times, causing severe bleeding. Both parties were initially brought to the police station for questioning. However, Ms. Mintra requested to use the restroom at the back of the station and later reportedly fled the scene, likely due to fear of assault charges. https://thepattayanews.com/2025/09/06/transgender-woman-attacks-indian-tourist-with-high-heel-in-pattaya-beach-incident/

I mean living in Patts exposes you to crazy stuff but this is really crazy. So many questions.. and I don't mean to blame the victim but why open room for 4 people you don't know.. I was 30 and I had a ladyboy steal my cologne and sunglasses and money from my pants. Play it safe: ST rooms are better for people you don't know.. Room is for someone you know and somewhat trust.
Pdoggg
Police in Pattaya have made arrests of two Ugandan women for allegedly operating a sex work business in a hotel, following multiple tourist complaints. The operation, led by Colonel Songwut Chuepholakit, resulted in the arrest of a 31-year-old and a 40-year-old woman, both accused of soliciting services across from Soi 13 in Pattaya. This action was in compliance with the Prostitution Prevention and Suppression Act. The crackdown aligns with the directive from Police Major General Sak Siri Phuak Aum, Chief of the Tourist Police, aimed at curbing crime impacting tourism, particularly foreign offenders. Complaints from international tourists highlighted disruptive behaviour from women soliciting services on Pattaya Beach, which involved aggressive tactics to attract customers. This follows incidents where these women reportedly harassed tourists, demanding purchases and causing disturbances. The arrested women face charges of soliciting for prostitution in a manner described as a public disturbance. Police are enforcing laws against approaches made on streets or in public areas that cause discomfort or shame. The case serves as a reminder of ongoing efforts to maintain tourist safety and address illegal activities affecting the hospitality environment in Pattaya. https://aseannow.com/topic/1373996-pattaya-hotel-raided-ugandan-women-arrested-for-sex-work/
