I had to go to Post Office in Soi 5 yesterday, after an hour long (!) transaction which included showing my passport, in order to send an Express letter to UK which cost 1000 baht, I was in need of refreshment.

I called in to Roadhouse bar. Lb Kelly is back there after being in Bangkok since covid restrictions. She is the only lb in bar now. She said there was one other but she went home to see family a month ago, and maybe she won't return

I've never bf'd Kelly but she is a pleasant girl with good English and nice to have a drink and a chat with.

She told me that Nuch who also used to work there had called in before Christmas and was well. I was glad to hear that as a couple of years ago when I called in bar one of the girls told me Nuch had a motorbike accident after she went back to home village and had serious head injury, and family were trying to raise money for hospital treatment. I was fearing the worst so it was great to hear it ended well.

Som, a former stalwart of the bar had gone home to village, where she had been buying land and now keeping many buffalo.

Another former Roadhouse lb, May, had died from cirrohsis of the liver. Sadly a danger of working and drinking in a bar, may she rest in peace.

Been meaning to call in and see Kelly - great girl. Pleased she's OK. Have seen Nuch a few times over the past year or so - still with same BF. Good about Som. Sad about May - always fond of a drink - she poured a great Sangsom Soda. 'er indoors went to her funeral last year.

Rescue workers in Jomtien faced a frustrating ordeal when a heavily intoxicated American tourist was found lying in the middle of a road, refusing assistance and insisting he was simply trying to sleep.

The incident occurred at 23:35 on March 25, when the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre received a call from concerned locals reporting a foreign man asleep on Second Road in Jomtien, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel found the tourist, who identified himself only as an American, refusing to give his name, lying intoxicated on the road. Good Samaritans and other tourists had already moved him to the roadside before the rescue team arrived. However, when approached, the man became agitated and told responders, “Why is everyone here? Leave me alone, I just want to sleep,” before lying down again at the entrance to a hotel, ignoring the attention of passersby. He also complained about the noise of passing traffic disturbing him, causing further concern that he might be at risk.

Rescue workers attempted to persuade the man to move for more than 30 minutes, but he remained adamant about staying put. Eventually, they informed him that police would be called to take him away. At this point, the tourist suddenly regained his composure, stood up, and walked off as if nothing had happened.

Worried for his safety, bystanders and rescue workers followed him until he disappeared from sight, believing he had safely returned to his accommodation.

A hotel security guard, later stated that he had seen the tourist staggering towards the hotel’s gate earlier in the evening but had not thought much of it, assuming he was just another intoxicated guest. However, when he noticed a crowd gathering on the roadside, he decided to investigate and later assisted in calling the rescue services.

What is the lb presence like in Pratumnak? I'm considering staying there next trip.

Not much of a  ladyboy presence.  Pratumnak is a nice place to live but perhaps not the best place of staying for a month or two.

2 Step Bar on Pratumnak Soi 4 seems to be a ladyboy bar or has a few ladyboys.

Drama erupted in the twilight hours of today as a foreign man’s boozy bar night in Jomtien  spiralled into chaos. His Thai ex-wife clashed with his new partner, igniting a fierce brawl that left onlookers stunned.

Rescuers from the Sawang Borriboon Dhammastan Foundation rushed to a bar in Jomtien to transport two injured women to a hospital today, April 23.
The two were identified as 40 year old Yu and 43 year old Pha. Both sustained serious injuries to their heads and noses, and their faces were covered in blood.

Upon the rescue team’s arrival, bar patrons were attempting to separate the two women, who continued to attack each other despite their injuries. Broken glass bottles were scattered on the floor, posing a danger to other guests.

Pha told rescuers that she saw her foreign husband drinking with his ex-wife, Yu, and approached them. She claimed she only greeted Yu, but Yu allegedly responded by smashing a glass bottle over her head.

According to Pha, Yu then encouraged the man to leave the bar with her. The two reportedly walked about 50 metres to a nearby salon before Pha caught up with them and attacked Yu, escalating the situation into chaos.

Anyone have any idea whereabouts in Jomtien this bar is?

Not sure. Think it might be in Na Jomtien.

In another incident an Irishman was a premeditated stabbing victim between Rompho and Theppresit:

Quote

In the early hours of April 26, a brutal stabbing incident left a 34-year-old Irish national injured outside a condominium on Thepprasit Soi 17, Pattaya, Chonburi province.

The Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre in Pattaya received the emergency call at approximately 01:35  reporting a violent assault with a injured victim. Rescue volunteers and police officers from Pattaya City Police Station were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered Mr. Scott Thomas Lacy, 34, lying in a pool of blood beside a red-plated Honda ADV 150 motorcycle. He had sustained deep lacerations from a sharp object to his left arm, abdomen, and both legs. A folding knife was found on the road nearby and was secured as evidence by investigators.

Rescue workers administered first aid at the scene before urgently transporting Mr. Lacy to a nearby hospital. His condition was described by responders as serious.

A security guard from a neighbouring condominium told police he saw the victim returning from a convenience store on his motorcycle when he was suddenly ambushed by another foreign man on a motorcycle. The attacker reportedly forced the victim off his bike by kicking him, then brutally stabbed him multiple times before speeding away, leaving the victim seriously wounded on the roadside.

Police have launched a manhunt for the assailant. Pol. Lt. Col. Chaowalit Suwanmanee, Deputy Superintendent of Pattaya City Police, confirmed that officers have been dispatched to gather evidence and track down the suspect based on descriptions provided by a witness.

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
