A British citizen died on Saturday when he attempted to base jump from the 29th floor of a condominium in Pattaya but his parachute failed to deploy. Pattaya police say that the victim, 33-year-old Nathy Odinson, owned the Nathy’s Sky Photography website and asked a friend to film his jump from the condominium as online video content. His parachute, which was still attached to him, failed to open, causing him to crash into a tree and then to the ground. An employee at the condominium reportedly told the police that the victim had previously visited the condominium and yesterday he parked his car, took a lift to the 29th floor and jumped.
  4. If one is on a 30 day visa exempt stamp it can be very difficult to get a Thai bank account. However there are some visa agents who for a fee and get accounts for people on 30 day visa stamps.

Jesse Jane, a onetime Hooters waitress and beauty pageant contestant who went on to star in the highest-budget film series in pornographic film history, was found dead on Wednesday at a home in Oklahoma. She was 43. RIP
  6. A logical guess but it is a tough one, probably too tough. It's the hong nam at the new Canteburry Tales Bookstore on Soi Bongkot.
  7. In Farangland there are many escort review sites and it motivates an escort to give a good performance because she doesn't want bad reviews. It's really important if you are paying 300 Euro or whatever these escorts charge. It becomes less important if you are paying 1000 baht or 1200 baht. When Ladyboy Review started it was intended as a Review site which also had a forum. Most of our members didn't care about the Review part so we got rid of it. 99% of Bolt drivers are extremely nice and I think their star rating system has much to do with that. I either give drivers 5 stars or don't rate them at all since it's so cheap that I don't want to tank a driver's rating if he is slightly grumpy or takes an inefficient route. For simplicity let's categorize customer complaints about ladyboys into two buckets. Bucket 1 are things like she's says she can do everything in the bar and when she gets to the room she says you're too big. Bucket 2 are much more serious thing such as drugging you and stealing your money. Let's also make an assumption that bar owners don't give a shit about your complaints. Even if barowners don't care, I would think that a lady(boy) who is a thief prefers to completely disappear after the deed so a bar or even a TF type site where theoretically the thief could be tracked if the problem was serious enough is safer than the street although I suppose on the street can CCTV track her. I think the most dangerous situation is two unknown ladyboys pulling up to you on a motorbike. As far as bedroom performance, asking friends which ladyboys would they take a second time is a somewhat good indicator of her performance. A friendly barowner might also be able to provide such info. Where this won't work well is in the Nana shitpits where mamasans might get a kickback from certain girls if recommended. Te above is just my two baht. YMMV

There was a snake loose in the cabin on a flight from Bangkok to Phuket.
  9. I was confirming your answer to what Soju seemed interested in.
  10. That's what I heard too Soju. Duangjai Bar on Soi Pothole near the 3rd Road end of the soi.
  11. My first visit to Cindy's was very early in the evening when some of the girls were still putting on makeup. I was the only customer and just wanted one beer to see what the joint was like. Joy's welcoming attitude really impressed me. It wasn't so I would buy drinks or barfine but rather a genuine attempt to make a customer feel welcome in a brand new bar. Neither Cindy nor Gav was around and it seemed as if Joy was in charge. On a subsequent visit I was chatting with Cindy and she was also trying to her best to make us feel welcome. It was a similar vibe to my conversation with Joy a week or so earlier. Good sound system playing at the proper volume. I Shazamed a few tunes to add to my DJ sets. Thought the Block and Crown version of Respect which I hadn't heard before was a really good fit for a ladyboy bar. Most Farang like Respect and the Block & Crown house version appeals to the girls. Not easy to find music that both farang and young ladyboys enjoy but it does exist.
  12. Just saw the first two episodes of The Playlist. Think it just came out on Thailand Netflix. I suppose it's been on Netflix Farangland for awhile. It's about Spotify, Pirate Bay, and the music industry. Watched the first 10 minutes dubbed in English but was much better when I switched to Swedish with English subtitles. If you like streaming or downloading music then you might find it interesting.

The Federal Aviation Administration on Saturday ordered U.S. airlines to stop using some Boeing 737 Max 9 planes until they were inspected, less than a day after one of those planes lost a chunk of its body in midair, terrifying passengers until the plane landed safely. Alaska and United Airlines on Saturday began canceling dozens of flights after grounding their Max 9 fleets so the planes could undergo the federally mandated inspections. Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 took off from Portland, Ore., on Friday, bound for Ontario, Calif., but was diverted back to Portland six minutes later, according to FlightAware, a flight tracking website. Those on board the flight described an unnerving experience, with wind blowing through a gaping hole that showed the night sky and the city lights below. The plane landed about 20 minutes after it had taken off, and no one aboard was seriously injured. A passenger, Vi Nguyen of Portland, said that she woke up to a loud sound during the flight. “I open up my eyes and the first thing I see is the oxygen mask right in front of me,” Ms. Nguyen, 22, said. “And I look to the left and the wall on the side of the plane is gone.” “The first thing I thought was, ‘I’m going to die,’” she added. The National Transportation Safety Board sent a team to Portland to begin its investigation into the incident. While the F.A.A. has yet to publicly discuss what caused the incident, it ordered airlines to inspect what it called a “mid cabin door plug.” Some of the Boeing 737 Max 9s are configured with fewer seats and, therefore, do not need all the exits originally designed for the plane. The unneeded doors are filled with a plug. The Alaska Air plane had two of those unneeded doors, located between the rear of the plane and the wing emergency exits, that were “plugged.” Forrest Gossett, a spokesman for Spirit AeroSystems, said on Saturday that his company installed door plugs on the Max 9s and that Spirit had installed the plug on the Alaska Air flight. The F.A.A.’s order affects about 171 planes. The agency said that the required inspections should take four to eight hours per plane to complete.
  14. A major part of Jomtien Beach Road will transform temporarily into a one-way street starting in early March of this year to facilitate a landscape improvement project. The one-way plan was declared yesterday, January 4th, during a meeting of Pattaya City authorities. Chaired by Deputy Mayor Mr. Kritsana Bunsawat, the authorities resolved to turn Jomtien Beach Road one-way from the Pattaya Police Station’s Khong Dong Tan Office to the Chaiyaphruek Service Center on Jomtien Beach. The transformation’s purpose is to facilitate an installation of underground pipes, relocation of structures and utilities, and construction of a new drainage system. The construction project will begin at the beginning of March 2024, divided into four phases spanning from the SCB bank to the Pattaya Police Station’s Khong Dong Tan Office and the Chaiyaphruek Service Center, as well as the area around Wat Mai Hat Krathing Thong, Jomtien Sai 2 Road, and the boat ramp near D Varee Jomtien Beach Hotel. https://thepattayanews.com/2024/01/05/part-of-jomtien-beach-road-to-become-one-way-starting-in-early-march-during-construction-project/
  15. Way to go Seven! Viet Jet has 2 daily flights from Suvarnaphumi to Phnom Penh. The 17:30 flight allows you wake up at a civilized time and take the 144 baht Jomtien Bus at 1 PM. If you get there late the 2PM bus should get you on time. You can reserve 2 days in advance. The Viet Jet flight gives you 7 kilo free carry on. For about 500 extra baht you can check 15 kilo. Flights as cheap as 2000 baht. From Patts much better than Air Asia from Don Muang which after the add ons is not not nearly ascheap as it seems. The Pass Taxi App can get you from Phnom Penh Airport to your Riverside hotel cheaply. Choose the Tuk Tuk option. Riverside hostess bars are the path of least resistance if you've never been there. Mostly ladies but some ladymen you can blow.

  17. People tell me that if you get a 60 day visa and then extend for an additional 30 days in Jomtien then you get the full 90 days whether you extended on for example Day 45 or Day 59. Disclaimer: I have no first hand experience.
  18. Happy New Year everyone! How was your New Year's Eve? I was at a tropical bar on perhaps Pattaya's most secret beach. Feels like you're on Koh Phi Phi. 1704084948902.mp4
  19. Cock rising? Welcome to LBR Singter! The caricatures of some of your staff on the wall of your outdoor area are very well done. Props to to the artiste!
  20. Khun Seven, this doesn't apply to me but I am not so sure about this. I think the 30 days begins after the expiration of the initial visa expiration or visa exempt expiration but I have no recent experience. Requires some research. If you get to keep all your original days and get 30 new days then going to Immigration earlier is a good idea to get it out of the way and to also be aware of any problems. As far as showing the return ticket, I haven't heard of guys having problems when flying to Thailand but it is required for the Philippines.
