I was put off by the facial piercings (I presume that's what they are) above Lizzy's mouth. As I've often said, to each his own, but for me no matter how the rest of her stacked up I couldn't get past that. So it was an easy choice for me (and I'd go with Isabely in a flash).
-
I'm with you Tex. Isabely for me too. No contest

I'm limited to Bangkok, and I did enjoy times at Guess Bar (Rajah complex); but my best times were at Darkside (I still have the white polo shirt) until it closed. Now I would have to rate Why not as my favourite. Had one great night at K r us in Pattaya, but hard to judge just on that one time (maybe I should do a re-run).
-
As I've often said, to each his own. But I agree with Tex - I don't drink that much either. So I voted No.

Yes, the outfit is great. And is she hot? Oh yes, very much so.

In Bangkok there are 2 tracks: this Saturday racing is at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club at Patumwan. BTS to Siam, walk down Henri Dunant Rd and you're there. Admission 50 or 100 baht (different gates). Heaps of people selling race books along the way. The following Saturday (28th) it's on at the Royal Turf Club (now sometimes known as the Bangkok Jockey Club) at Nang Leung (and I've seen 100 spellings of that) - BTS to Ratchathewi (one stop past Siam), go downstairs to the corner of Petchburi Rd, get a motorbike taxi (40 baht) to the track. Post time for the first is around 12:20. Usually a 10 race card of different grades; last race set for around 5:40, but being Thai time I've seen the last run in the dark, like after 6 pm. English language form guides available. (100 baht). Royal Ascot it is not, but it is an experience. I've not been yet to the track in Korat, but it is near the town, on the military base there. A sand track similar to the old Albion Park track in Brisbane (for Australian readers). Form guides there in Thai only, I'm told.
-
Yes Tex. Horse racing is on every Sunday in Bangkok (unless it's a Buddhist day, in which case it switches to Saturday). there are many form guides and race books in Thai (of course) but you can buy an English version for 100 baht. Betting is only on course, and only on the tote (totalizator) - apart from the illegal bookmakers. There are other tracks outside Bangkok too - Korat, Udon Thani and Chiang Mai have racing too; Korat is a sand track and races every week. It's an experience to go racing in Thailand. Win or lose, I enjoy it.

To each his own, azza33, and I hope you do enjoy the "mayhem".But I'll tell you what, it's Sunday here in Bangkok and I'm off to the races. If some smart (make that dumb) prick tries to spray me with water, or smear powder on my face, I'll stuff my binoculars down his throat. I think it's fair that people going about their own business get some consideration; and those who want to play can play. Yes, I agree that it's a bad time for talent, but soon it'll be back to "normal"; hopefully the horses treat me well enough so I can be "normal'' again after Songkran is over. Great photo though.
-
For me, Songkran is a pain in the arse. Dressed up (well, neat casual) to go somewhere and getting sprayed with water is not my idea of fun. And idiotic farangs who go over the top are the worst offenders imo. And plastered with powder too. No thank you. The traditional celebration seems to have gone; so for me I'll be staying in my own space until it's over. Midnight 16th can't come quickly enough.

When I called in to Why Not last week, I walked past Henry's at about 7:00 pm. I can't add to what poesface said about the rooms, but I'd guess that the food is good too. The dining area was almost full. Maybe a feed there to start the night, followed by a one minute walk to Why Not. If I get the chance later in the week I'll give it a test run.

Just popped in for an hour or so tonight. Early, the bar was quiet, but still no pressure from any of the girls. But I found Katty a real charmer. Sadly I couldn't stay longer, but will be back for her. I'll go early again; I'm really looking forward to spending time with her.

I only spoke with Sammy outside the shop, but yes, she is every bit as nice as her photos suggest. And as we know, chemistry is an individual thing, but for me Lin has something special. I hope you enjoy, whoever takes your fancy when you visit. -

It will be more of a challenge than I first thought, as it seems much of my trip will be supervised. However, these things need checking out, and I'll gladly pass on my findings. -

I'll be in Pattaya for a few days, week after next. I will try to find out first hand, so to speak. -
I've seen some good birthday cakes, but never one quite like this one; and my views on hip-hop have changed too. This night, like many others, is the reason Whynot is a great place to visit, even on a quiet night.
-
I know there are some wankers out there, but really ... a time and a place ...
-
Social media has a lot to answer for; well, those who use it like these two dumb-arses anyway. I hope they cop more than a slap on the wrist fine. But I suppose there will be other idiots to take their place with some new crazy fad.

My local Tesco Lotus store in Phitsanulok will be closed on 26th also because of the Cremation Day. Not sure if it is limited hours or all day (my reading of written Thai is very limited).

I know I have a warped sense of humour, but this joke really appeals to me. Thanks BB.

effect of observence of one year passing of King
cobber32 replied to JustSumGai's topic in Ladyboy Scene
I was shown a post on the internet just now that says Thais should not wear bright coloured clothing from today (1 October), and even gave 25 colours that are acceptable. And of course from 13th to 27th October, black is the colour. Black may well reflect the entertainment sector here. -
I think Gutsy's post (Feb 21) says why there's not much input on this topic. For Bkk BMs, the action is in NEP or away from the area - Whynot for example, as far as bars are concerned. I can't see the rajah complex being as it once was; times change and life goes on, in this case, life goes on elsewhere.
-
Yes, I'm sure you're right, and if you combine this with the comment TEX made, it all benefits the patrons. Certainly the best bar in Bangkok IMHO.

Genius is an often over-used word, but it really describes Becker and Fagan. I'm glad you posted Sam; just sad about the news. Like you, I play their music a lot, and it will have a different sound now.

Thanks, Pdoggg, for a very interesting and well written article. I like the fact that it is non-judgemental, using simple language and giving what sounds like good advice. Might have to look into this further, 555.
