  1. There are two or three resorts on Phuket which have gated off areas specifically for Heads of State, Hollywood stars, highly paid performing artists, and wealthy people in the public eye, they shall probably be heading for one of those I'd have thought. The accomodation and security provided is astonishing. 2005 I got a taxi out to the Banyan Tree Resort to meet my ex boss and his new wife where I spent the day. They gave me a tour in a golf buggy pointing out such an area. Earlier on the beach we clocked Robin Williams RIP, Sean Connery and the former Germany football manager and player Bertie Vogts.

  2. I was with my chum - he on his first trip to Thailand. I had decided against going to Pi Pi (too busy) and against Khao Lak (lots of building work). We booked in a holiday village on Kho Lanta. Christmas night we had a great time at a beach bar. i was getting on well with a bargirl and my chum wandered back to the cabin. The GG - I never knew her name was just looking for "lomance" as she said, having just run away from cruel Thai husband. The bar closed and she dragged a mattress out and we slept (!) all night on the beach. Next morning woken by the crack of dawn I said farewell and promised to see her that night. I headed back to the cabin where my chum was still asleep. I grabbed my cozzie and a book and went down to the beach. This was about 8.30. I setled down to read with my back against a bank of sand that was on the edge of the village. After a while decided it was time for a swim. Looked up and thought "F**k me" "Where's the sea gone"? Return to reading. Looked up a while later and saw a rapidly approaching wave - not huge. "Hello - Surfs Up". I thought. The wave rushed in maybe 3 foot high and broke at my feet. Watched a while as the sea receeded and then it came back bigger and faster. It overturned fishing boats and the locals were soon there wondering the same as me no doubt. I ran to our cabin and roused my chum saying "Something is happening out here - check it out" Back to the sea and this time the wave came full tilt - maybe only 5 foot high but enough to set everyone dashing thro' the village. It wrecked cabins overturned 'fridges and anything in its path. There was a slope in the road leading up to the main road (rough red earth) and the wave stopped short. After a while we waded (foolish maybe) back to our cabin - flooded and retrieved our belongings. Back to the main road wondering what to do next. A Thai girl from the local pharmacy pulled up in a truck and told us to get in as another wave was expected. She drove us up to a high headland near another holiday complex. There must have been a couple of hundred of us all camped out. Nobody seemed to know what had happened. (Another friend of mine was out on the sea birdwatching and had to be rescued by the Thai Navy - tho' out there was the safest place - he knew what had happened). So we settled down for the night. within the first half hour the local Thais had set up a free food stall, brought sheets and blankets and soon after a beer bar. Next morning still not much news what had happened. We eventually got a ride back to the main town. The roads were packed with people trying to get away from the island. Some were saying the ferry was not crossing. I managed to sort out a private car to take us to the small jetty and thankfully soon on board and over to the mainland. We had tickets for the overnight train to Bangkok and it wasn't till we reached there we knew the full worldwide story. On Khao Lanta I believe, about 12 people had died nearly all local fishermen. I hope the girl I met was safe. Every Boxing Day I always go down to a quiet stretch of beach wherever I am in Thailand and have a quiet moment. Thanks to Buddah (?) and thanks to the Thai people who were amazing in the way they took care of us.

  5. For all my wonderful trans-friends and their supporters!! Spread the love! I am in a group where the question was raised “WHY ARE LADYBOYS BETTER THAN WOMEN?” I thought it to be a good theme to bring up here as well and look forward to reading people’s comments. I will start by sharing my response to the question. (Note: Although the subject did not include FtoM transgendered people you will see some of the sharing below can be applied to them as well.) Great subject yet I would suggest it is not about who is better. Every person is unique. I will say that in general I appreciate all styles, flavors, cultures and genders of people. I have a pretty big capacity for loving people regardless of whether their flavor would attract me as a friend or not. Now to narrow it down to my personal romantic, emotional and sexual attractions. Why am I more drawn to MtoF transgendered persons (ladyboys) and to hermaphrodites than to genetic females? I trust my attraction to ladyboys and know as I follow what is true for me and honor of the essence of who I am, my life will be benefited. (For the term ladyboy, feel free to substitute transwomen or whatever term is your personal preference > I am using ladyboy as that was the term used in the question) I can share some of the reasons I am more attracted to ladyboys but that does not make them better or worse. Most of the ladyboys I know have a strength of spirit and courage that I admire. I love that that have been true to themselves and live as women even in a world full of prejudice against them. We could all learn from them > to be true to who we are whether others like it or not. As ladyboys are teaching us > how can we possibly be happy unless we first live in a manner that is true to the essence of who we are. Of course this applies to every aspect of who we are, gender is just an example of one aspect. Typically because of challenges that ladyboys have had to go through in their transformation to women, they tend to have built strong characters. And they often have a compassion for other people's struggles because they know from firsthand experience what it is like to struggle. So many ladyboys have big hearts! (Sadly for some ladyboys, the struggles and challenges have turned them bitter instead. But I can certainly understand why that can happen.) I find that the majority of ladyboys really own, celebrate, and live from their femininity which is super attractive to me. Many genetic women don't. Many (not all) ladyboys are very skilled sexually. It probably comes from having been born in a male body so they typically know much better about what pleases a man. Many ladyboys carry a sensual, sexy, aura about them almost all the time. I am attracted to the combination of all that femininity with a blend of some masculinity mixed in. My personal preference is for ladyboys that are non-op, that enjoy and love to use their penis. (Of course I support any ladyboy in having SRS [sexual reassignment surgery] if that is what is true for them. It would just mean that I would be attracted to them as a friend but not be attracted to them as a partner.) In my experience ladyboys tend to be much more straight forward when it comes to sexuality. Most do not play the kind of "push/pull" games that many genetic women do. In my experience most ladyboys tend to embrace their sexuality whereas many genetic women tend to carry some shame around their sexuality that keeps them repressed or thinking they have to hide it even when they may desire it. This leads to the back and forth games that get played out. My preference is for people to be straightforward about what they do and do not want. In the area of sexuality my experience has been that most ladyboys are straightforward. This is refreshing and adds to them having an attractive personality. And as someone pointed out to me that made me laugh > “You can tell she is not faking orgasm.” On a more esoteric global consciousness level I appreciate ladyboys for the following. I think more and more ladyboys are being born onto the planet to play an important part in lifting the collective consciousness to a higher, more evolved level. Ladyboys help bust people out of old black and white gender thinking. Too many people are stuck in thinking they have to live a certain way that conforms to societies norms around gender. Ladyboys have the ability by their very presence to bust people out of that stuck way of thinking. Ladyboys are teachers that show people that it is okay for each individual to be true to whom they are even if it goes against societal and cultural norms. I hope that any ladyboy that has taken the time to read through this will be left with a feeling of even more empowerment. Will stand even taller in whom they are. Will know that they are appreciated and loved and in fact needed to be here. Know that when you face and move through struggles that you are doing the ground work for making this world a better place for generations to come. Your courage is admired and appreciated. I am sorry that we still live in a world with much prejudice and that you have had to live through that. Thanks for helping transform prejudice into acceptance. My heart and support goes out to you.

  8. Today, for the first time, I tried the Japanese style "smart" toilets at Terminal 21. Very nice angle adjustment. Good temperature control. The bum dryer also worked quite nicely. So while in Thailand, when nature calls, I suggest heading for the nearest Terminal 21

  9. I have one of them in my house here in the US, thanks to the kindness of a forum member whom I am sure wishes to remain nameless. They are sure nice for doing a clean job, but the water here is a lot colder than in Thailand and it takes some getting use to. But that is okay, I am now though and love the feel of the cold water soaking my puckered bung hole. One thing that helped with BMs in Thailand was eating one Dragon Fruit a day. When I did that, the turds shot out like they were coated in axle grease and there was seldom any residue left for the hose to remove.

  10. Merry Christmas everybody! If you're in Pattaya and thinking about Christmas dinner, Tequila Reef is serving up a plate for around 500 THB. And, of course, they have Margaritas! Bourbon Street in Bangkok is offering their signature buffet for 995 THB. Turkey deep fried in peanut oil, brussel sprouts (which are rare around these parts) pumpkin creme brule, and Georgia pecan pie are some of my favorites. For a truly staggering offering, check out the menu below. christmas_buffet_menu_2014.pdf

  11. I had been sat on the beach in Pattaya that Boxing Day morning for a couple of hours eating breakfast and reading. Of course the Gulf of Thailand waters were completely unaffected by the wave and I remained oblivious to what was going on. It wasn't until I returned to my beach front hotel room around 13.00 hrs and noticed there were over fifty missed calls on my UK phone and a string of SMS messages did I realise something terrible had been going on merely a few hundred miles from where I'd been relaxing in a deck chair. My vacation was already ticketed to shift over to Phuket on January 2nd, I remained in Pattaya and not for the first or last time in my life did I realise timing is so important.

  12. i was in it.. stayed in Thara Hotel on Patong Beach and woke up next day with the back of the Hotel missing and thought WW3 had started.. it was pretty bad and the debris in the side road so high a tunnel was dug underneath so one could cross the road. The Hotel is on a slope and so i was lucky on the 2nd flloor.. others were not lucky , especially those in the breakfast bar People walking around covered in blood and gaping flesh wounds. The manager fled with the takings and only some GG staff stayed behind The looting was rife and just shows that civilization is but a thin veneer

  13. Well my views why I think Ladyboys are better than women ! Well I think they give better blow jobs for starters, the sexual experience in my opinion is 100% better, I find them more passionate, they have all the curves and beauty of a normal woman, but with a nice hard dick and curvy ass, you don't have any problems giving them anal, they dress more stylish, they pay more attention to their appearance. ide say you can relate to them better in conversation, no periods, no complaints for leaving the toilet seat up, so basically they sure know how to give pleasure to a guy, I only wish ide discovered this a long time before I did, im sure there's more opinions, but ive covered mine !

  15. The good thing about squat toilets is that you maximize butt cheek separation, but at the expense of knee strain and leg fatigue. A couple of tricks I’ve learned over the years is that if it is at least a reasonably-sized and moderately clean facility, it is best to remove trousers and underwear completely thereby allowing a good and stable wide stance while poised over the hole (and avoiding fecal splatter on your clothes). And, always put back on your shoes because those porcelain foot plates get very slippery when wet. Also, it is best if you have something to hold onto, especially something that allows you to relieve some of the weight from your legs. Many years ago I was on a project that was out in the boonies, so we rented rooms for a couple of weeks at a local guy’s house. The toilet was in a clean and reasonably sized room that also did shower and laundry duty. During my first use of the toilet I noticed that there was nothing to hold onto for stability and weight relief, but looking up I noticed an exposed ceiling beam situated perfectly over my head. If I was to hang a piece of rope from that beam I would have something to hold onto and pull myself up with a little bit while having a deeply spiritually moving movement. So, the next time I went to use the toilet I took a length of rope and a chair with me. I was standing on the chair, and having thrown one end of the rope over the beam I was busy making a big loop on the other end to use as a hand-hold. Well, the owner of the house came into the bathroom at that very moment carrying a bunch of dirty laundry. His eyes went wide and he shrieked, “Oh! No Sir! No!” I wondered what the commotion was about, and quickly realized that he thought I was going to hang myself! I then showed him the actual intended use of the rope, but that only made him think I was crazy as well as being suicidal. For the duration of the trip whenever he saw me go into the bathroom he would give me a few minutes then proceed to knock on the door and repeatedly ask, “OK, sir? OK?” He was convinced I was going to off myself in his bathroom. Ah, squat toilets…good times!
