Lefty
Is Russia in the western hemisphere? Maybe far Eastern Russia. Western hemisphere is North, Central and South America Quote Link to comment
Lefty
The western hemisphere begins at the Prime Meridian (the line of longitude which extends from the North Pole to the South Pole, running through Greenwich, London) and extends 180 degrees west from there: it encompasses parts of western Europe, some of western Africa, the Americas, some Pacific island groups, and the part of Russia that Sarah Palin apparently can see when she looks out her window. Ahem. So, we can rule out all of that as the answer to Lefty's poser, as he specifically said NOT in the western hemisphere. I'd go for somewhere on the Black Sea coast. Bulgaria? Close but no cigar Quote Link to comment
pentire
Yes it looks like the Balkans to me The western hemisphere begins at the Prime Meridian (the line of longitude which extends from the North Pole to the South Pole, running through Greenwich, London) and extends 180 degrees west from there: I'd go for somewhere on the Black Sea coast. Bulgaria? It's a line I cross several times each week when I'm in England.Yes route67, it reminds me of either the Mediterranean, Adiatic or Black Sea coast, an area I've started to investigate in recent summers perhaps Croatia, Montenegro or somewhere else in the Balkans. Pdoggg
Looks like it could be somewhere in the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, or Black Sea... Turkey? Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong but despite being wrong very much on the right track. Quote Link to comment
Pdoggg
Portugal We have a winner! It's on an island about 10 miles off the coast. Quote Link to comment
SiamSam
Total stab in the dark on my part. At first I was gonna say Spain but then went with Portugal. I'm going out to buy a lottery ticket now. It just might be my lucky day. Quote Link to comment

Pdoggg
Ok, this has to be my last kick of the can: Soi Nana in Bangkok? You're even closer now RX! But not correct. The next guess will probably be the right one as there is just one more logical guess. Here's Soi Nana in the early 70's. Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
I was going to let someone else get the answer since it is all set up, but since no one has done it so far, I'll take the plunge and say it is Sukhumvit Road, Bangkok, Thailand. Quote Link to comment
