  1. Wednesday the 5th, there will be a big morlam. Not 100% sure which 3rd Road location but think the one between Pattaya Klang and Pattaya Nua; not the 3rd Road/Soi Xcyte location.
  2. Is Alis still working for Sisters? Last time I bumped into her she was handing out condoms at a morlam.
  3. The Sausage Shop would be a good name for a ladyboy bar.

    Travel insurance

I am asking for a good buddy of mine. He will be in Thailand and another Southeast Asian country between 90 and 120 days. He doesn't care about the luggage, missed flights etc. But is concerned about medical coverage for emergencies and medical evacuation. I can't really think of a situation that couldn't be handled by a good Thai hospital that would require Med evac though.

Can anyone recommend good travel insurance for Americans?
  6. Welcome Joshua! The streets of Angeles City are both extremely cost effective and user friendly. The ladyboys can be found on Walking Street, outsdie of Phillies, and to a lesser extent near the park by JJs supermarket. These locations are in a straight line and only a few minutes walk from each other. Simply engage any of ladyboys on the street in a brief conversation and then say, "700 pisos, OK?" and you will not get turned down. This is currently approx $13. Of course you can give more if happy with her performance but if someone puts in a subpar performance so what. In the Philippines, they are not clock watchers, you have plenty of time to offer her a beer in your room, shower, do the deed. There is no rush. Some might prefer to stay overnight and you can give them more. These prices are so attractive, that the cost of a threesome is dirt cheap. Unlike Thailand, many Filipina ladyboys are OK with sucking and penetrating each other. Enjoy!
  7. December 19th could be a turbulent day for the baht and dollar. First the Band Of Thailand will announce it's decision as to whether or not in will raise rates. At their last meeting the BOT did not raise rates but the vote was 4-3. Then later that day in Washington, the Fed is widely expected to raise rates. Turbulent market days may be good for FX traders but not good for the guy at the exchange booth as banks typically widen their Buy/Sell spreads to cover their ass. So if one is planning to trade Euro for baht it is probably safer to do well before the 19th. Could see some move the day before if BOT insiders tip off currency traders.
  8. Great night out, fine talent on display, and excellent snaps BB! Actually, I think the prettiest one there is Nicky but can't find her in your photos.
  9. Was out in Naklua tonight. TJ's has some extremely nice talent. Relaxed vibe, no ladydrink pressure but company available if you want.
  10. There have been some reports on a financial forum, that Visa (not Schwab, Fidelity, or the Cambodian bank) charges a fee even if taking out USD from a Cambodian ATM? Has any Yank noticed any fees from Schwab or Fidelity when using their card in Cambodia other than the local ATM fee which gets rebated? I am now also 100% sure that if using the Schwab or Fidelity card in Thailand, that the Visa takes a hidden cut in that the Visa consumer rate is not the true interbank rate, and this fee could be as high as 1%.
  11. Nights out are rare for me but did a mini bar crawl tonight. Here is a quick summary. Met up with a few guys at the Hideaway to start out, hospitable, relaxing, and a good cup of coffee. Baby Boom is around the corner. Good bar if one is hunting though probably not the best joint for a chinwag with mates. On to to New Bar for Petsie's birthday bash. Packed house. Then to Duangjai. Think Duangjai's location has allot going for it. Soi Chaiyapoon reminds me of the way Victory Hill in Sihanoukville was a few years ago before the Chinese casinos completely changed the entire town almost overnight. Think a dark unpaved soi is perfect for a ladyboy bar and cheap drink prices are a plus.
  12. Been doing lots of research into the Schwab card and Fidelity card. These are both excellent but neither uses the Interbank Bank. Rather they both use the Visa consumer rate with a buy/sell spread. Perhaps technically they can call this no fee but to me the difference between the Interbank rate and the rate you get is a............................... fee. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, and fucks like a duck it's a..................... duck. The rate you get is on this website. https://usa.visa.com/support/consumer/travel-support/exchange-rate-calculator.html I guess the way to figure out this fee is to do a hypothetical transaction on the website, then reverse the transaction. If you subtract the original input from the reversed output and then divide by two you should get the fee.assuming that the Interbank rate is the midpoint of the original input and reverse output. If you want a percentage you would then divide the fee by the amount withdrawn. This fee is reasonable. The good news is neither Fidelity or Schwab add any additional fees to the Visa Consumer Rate. They also rebate your ATM fees. I don't have experience with the Schwab card but to get the ATM rebate from Fidelity, the debit card must be inked to a Fidelity Cash Management Account, not a Fidelity Brokerage Account. If you already have a Fidelity Brokerage Account it takes just a minute to set up the Cash Management Account. Also with both cards, one should check online to see if the ATM fee is actually rebated. I believe with Schwab this happens at the end of the month while with fidelity you should see it in a couple days. These cards are probably only available in the Trumpland and hopefully there are good ATM solutions for guys from other countries.
  13. Went to see Overlord tonight. Chose Overlord because it was the best of a bad lot. It wasn't that bad and my better half liked it. Since it was my birthday week, I got a free movie at Major Cineplex with my 60+ M card.
  14. Where do you watch footy SirDuke?
  15. GT, are the prices the same at both?
  16. Katesiree on Buakhao has pretty cheap beer and TV screens for sports. Friendly service staff that is used to dealing with Cheap Charlies. Even cheaper is the Family Mart on Soi 15 between the Hideaway and Avenue Mall. No TV nor annoying bargirls but 3 big tables in the parking lot. There is a feeling of spaciousness.
  17. Regarding the Airport Rail Link, depending where you are staying in Bangkok, rather than going to Phaya Thai (7 stops and 45 baht), you might want to get off at Makasan (5 stops and 35 baht). The Makasan Rail Link station is connected to the Petchaburi MRT station. It's all covered in case of rain but is a little longer than walk than the exchange between trains at Phaya Tai. So you get on the MRT and it is just one stop to the Sukhumvit station at Asoke near Soi Cowboy 16 baht.
  18. Was up in Bangkok for a night. I've been on the BTS and Airport Link many times but this was my first time on the MRT. It all went smooth going from Petchaburi to Sukhumvit but onthe return trip I waited about 10 minutes to buy a token from the machine Saturday about 18:30. Can I buy tokens in advance on the MRT? I tried buying in advance once on the BTS and I found out the next day it was only good for day I bought it. I guess people who live there don't buy tokens all teh time but use some sort of pass? I was talking to a farang 60+ and he has a senior discount card for the MRT and says you break even after just a few trips. But he said farangs can't get a senior discount on the BTS.
