yeah, it's bugged me for some time. To start with I'm flying across the Inter'nl Date line so I leave 8am Nov 30. Fly to Houston, then Narita in Tokyo, then into Bkk where I arrive December 1. JUST before midnight. So in fact I get in go to sleep and wake up on December 2. It seems typically crooked to stamp me in as arriving December 1 same as some guy who arrived nearly 23 hours earlier than me. So first I get the 12 hour whack from the dateline which leads to the one day whack from Immigration. Not bein able to do anything about the dateline (why is it that I've never seen a flight going EAST when I'm practically on the East Coast of the U.S.?) I figured to try out this hangin back thing. Yeah Duke I've read the same thing about departures like yours on other threads. And xyzzy, USUALLY from what I've read, they let one slide on just one day, presumably because of stuff like you mentioned. Thanks for the info

I finally went with a point and shoot because the semi DSLR was just TOO BIG to get into anything but a mil spec cargo pocket. Asked a guy why he carried a 5 shot mini revolver (it fits in the watch pocket on jeans) and he said a .45 sitting at home because it's to heavy to carry every day won't do him any good. The pics from the bigger camera WERE good, but I found I can tweak the Nikon's pics with Irfanview, to make em sharper. Now the problem is I'm spending lots of time editing because as it's ALWAYS with me I get 5 times more photos. But I don't miss much now so better all around. Plus if it's stolen (not likely, it's cheap and PURPLE) it's easy to replace.

what bothers me is that the bar, and the short time get half of what the girl will get...as has been said, disproportionate. Add in a snack on the way to or from the deed and they get what she does. about dead last time I was there in Jan 2016. 12 Dreams is one of THE CLASSIC rock albums of all time in my book, perhaps in the top ten. a decent follow up sound is to be had in Jo Jo Gunne's first album. The bass player and perhaps the singer from Spirit. It's a long time ago, I'm sure someone will correct me if my old stoner brain got it wrong :) Really, MOST of the GREAT music came from people/bands that did not last long. One hit wonders or few album run. Cream, barely 3 years. The Band, my GOD...that's a library of great tunes I can listen to across the decades, but only a few great albums. Logic alone would dictate that no one or two guys can write GREAT songs for year after year. And once business gets into it, forget it. The idea that people could choose ONE song as the greatest ever, kinda impossible. But Stairway would be in the top runners. Top five picks from y'all might be interesting but I can't figure what *I* would vote on. SO many good bands back in the day. Stones would be UP there too. Satisfaction? Sympathy? What Who song? Bowie? something off Ziggy I'd guess. Do you go by greatest as in most popular? most sold song? Quite impossible task. But fun to think of.

Donny is right, there is Rock n Roll, 50s mostly, and there is Rock. But Rock might take in anything from Dylan to Abba to the Beatles, etc. One could argue about THE greatest song in rock ever until the sun burned out.
