I can relax more in a bar; less pressure and more enjoyable. I find it easier to talk with the ladies there too.
-
I agree with you, seven. I'm sure she has a huge fan base, but IMO the voice doesn't match the view. I'll pass on the concert.
-
Geeez, you could give yourself a heart attack with a sudden dowsing of ice water, especially at my age. Give to charity by all means, but be sensible about it.
-
Alex, that is a very well written post, and while I support Chris with his version of events, I must say I admire the way you have responded. Darkside is great, and I agree with Stoolpusher on his post as well. Best of luck to both parties for the future.

Aussie Couple Leaves Down Syndrome Baby With Thai Surrogate
cobber32 replied to DownLoLarry's topic in Boiler Room
The law is one thing, but the real people affected deserve better. Thankfully not all Australians are the same as the couple responsible; and the agents need looking into as well. -
Lefty and KenW have said it all. So why worry? Just enjoy, because we do only have one life (as far as I know).
-
Yes, lance, agreed. Sometimes I get the feeling that they can't see the wood for the trees. I live here now on a retirement visa, so less of a problem for me, (except I'm old 555) but a big percentage of my income is spent in Thailand. Yes, any country is entitled to enforce their own rules, but when its a low season for tourism for so long, there ought to be more consideration for genuine tourists to encourage them to stay/come again, with less hassles.

Can You See Pics On The Forum
cobber32 replied to pdogg's topic in How To Navigate Our Website And Forum
Oh yessss - I can see the pics, thank you. Anytime you want something checked out, just ask, lol -
Absolutely no offence taken. Thanks for your reply, route67.
-
Yes route67, agreed. (sorry I'll have to learn how to do quotes). " MY skin" would've been nicer, but at least she was thinking of me. BTW, I do enjoy reading your comments on many topics (just thought I'd add that).
-
Lung - you facetious? never!! Its just that I am a philistine, obviously, and can't help myself when it comes to skin colour. I understand your serious comments too, rx, and the dangers of too much sun. But I do like the dark skin on a lb ...
-
There can be exceptions, of course, but as a general rule its the darker skin for me too.
-
We were walking in Imperial World in Samrong the other day when a lass from one of the clinics rushed the lady I was with to get her to take their treatments for skin whitening. I was proud to hear the response: "No, he likes my skin dark". Nice to be on a winner.

I don't exactly disagree, Sam, and the fact that it still has an impact today suggests you are on the money. But as a boy in Australia in the 1950s, Bill Haley & The Comets (Rock Around The Clock) had a huge effect on the music scene, and i think inspired a local guy Johnny O'Keefe who became "The Wild One", so I'll put that up as important too.

The most annoying way for a ladyboy to ask for a drink?
cobber32 replied to bumblebee's topic in Ladyboy Scene
You've hit the nail on the head, BB. Why are we in the bar??? To enjoy ourselves. Of course the bar has to make money, as do the ladies, but that shouldn't impact on the bar's patrons. Do you think the ladies perhaps don't understand the effect these things have on us? -
Some locals are polite; even asking a friend who knows "what is his name?" (in Thai); one guy has called me "You" over the past 5 years (but he is friendly with it) and yet several people whom I've known well over the same time, who consider themselves Hi-so, still refer to me as Farang. So what is my take on it all? I don't take it seriously enough to be offended, or upset, but I'm bloody sure that when we go back to Australia all my friends and family will use her name, and not call her "the Thai"
-
pacman, that is just brilliant (IMO). Many of the new age, smart-fart words piss me off. Maybe I've just become a grumpy old bugger.
-
Rx, a big thank you for not just the interview, but the insight into post-ops. It has certainly made me review my thoughts and feelings. Mutual enjoyment, whenever possible, doubles the pleasure for me, so I shall explore the post-op scene with a new outlook. Thanks again.
-
Yes, welcome, wowcock, and I agree with Sam - because I have to start somewhere, so appearance is that start point; someone who appeals to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say. Then if all goes well, especially if we both enjoy it, its a win/win on both counts. But if it doesn't go well, next time I would probably still choose a lady who appeals to me physically, and see where we go from there
-
Oh yes indeed!
-
I thought I'd seen everything before ...... but now I think I have.
-
I just looked at your profile, mj, and I never would have if you had not posted in the forum. Sadly I feel I'm too old for you, as well as being in a (so far) long term relationship, but I suspect many younger guys would love to be in touch with you, given that you are so lovely; and more posts would only be of benefit to all. Good luck in your quest - hope to see more from you here.
-
I prefer standing at the bar, especially if there is a foot rail, but given the two choices above, I'll go with a stool.
-
Thats a very good observation, JustSumGai, and shows again that the law is wrong. Even a manly man with man-boobs (and many men have them) wouldn't suffer the same fate as these unlucky ladyboys. I suppose the police were acting according to the law, as they saw it but maybe downgrading the fine from 5,000 to 500 bt shows they could see what we see.
-
Sam, these are just brilliant. At first I thought you'd put it all on the wrong thread, so the joke was literally on me.
