BoE has raised interest rate by 0.5%. £ is continuing to fall against $ and Euro. BoE is saying UK is probably already in recession.

Bad news for the UK Pound. It's continuing to fall against the US Dollar. On the bright side the Thai Baht also seems to be falling so Pound to Baht is remaining at around £1 = 42 Baht.

Are those the fries above the carrots? They are thicker than french fries and look like they have some sort of batter coating.

It's not a good idea to carry your passport as you might lose it or have it stolen. I carry a credit card sized laminated copy. Exchange booths accept it as id when exchanging money. You can get one made in the photocopying shops which usually have a big yellow Kodak sign outside. I still use the one I had made about ten years ago. They then cost 30 Baht for a black & white copy, or 70 Baht for a colour copy.

French (really Belgian) Fries are thin cut deep fried potatoes. Chips are thicker cut deep fried potatoes. Crisps are thin deep fried slices of potatoes. Americans call crisps chips.
