  1. Personal belongings? That could include a camera, a watch, clothes, anything you have with you. Every farang entering the country will exceed that amount. A poor choice of terms which could be open to misinterpretation and/or potential abuse. Perhaps something got lost in translation.
  2. .. followed by Lita's? Looking forward to your presence once more later in the year.
  3. Deal Breaker: If she insists on meeting me at 69 Bar
  4. Help, my website has gone down! You'd have thought he'd at least have given those who checked a +1 for helping out
  5. Fine from Pattaya, but I didn't click to go any further than the front page.
  6. It's never good to see one of our venues close. But out of all of them, with the exception of 69 Bar, it's the one I will miss least
  7. Even though I download movies quite often I hardly watch any of them, they just gather digital dust on my HDD. Perhaps I'm subconsciously stocking-piling for times when the internet is down. I believe the modern internet world and easy access to all-things offered online have shortened people's attention spans, certainly for younger generations who may barely know life before the internet and smartphone age. Evidence abounds on fora where questions are asked showing little or no evidence of any prior searches. Time apparently too precious and quick relief with regard to almost anything is in evidence. The same goes for movies, both in production and from a viewer's perspective. However, I do find a fair number of TV series to be incredible. They're more like mega-movies spread over seasons with their high-quality productions. With reference to attention spans above I believe mine has now shortened too, where 50 minute bites are more favourable than setting several hours aside for a movie. For a long time I've been tired of seeing movie sequels, prequels, remakes, and super-hero movies from old comics appearing. It's as if they cannot come up with any new ideas. I watch more of my old favourites than I do new when it comes to movies, only occasionally stumbling across something thoroughly worthwhile I haven't seen before. There are still great movies out there, we just need to find them and make the time to watch them.
  8. Howard and more of his deadpan delivery .. The CCTV in 808 was conveniently not working on that particular night.
  9. That's sad. I liked Val Doonican and remember several of his songs from back when I was a child, I even remember most of the words to this day, they were enjoyable and harmless. He consistently came across as a nice decent fellow.
  10. Once plans for easy access are underway it sounds the death knell, the beginning of the end as we know it. The fact you had to go to Phnom Penh followed by a separate 4-hour bus ride kept the hoi-polloi at bay. Same for Siem Reap and the Angkor Archaeological Park. I'm glad I spent time there before the hordes of tourists began arriving by the coach load, courtesy of the airport. Same again for Krabi, Thailand. Regarded by me as one of the most beautiful and tranquil locations in Thailand I've ever visited, until the airport arrived. It was never the same again after it opened the door to mass tourism. Selfish perspective perhaps, but it is a real shame. Snooky, another paradise lost.
  11. This new TV show looks like it's going to be very, very good indeed. Based upon the first episode I'm already looking forward to more. It was aired last Wednesday, 24th June. Mr.Robot IMDB rating: 9.4 Download S01E01 HERE
  12. If I knew someone respectable was going I might have jogged along to join. The weather sucked on the night though. Looks like everyone had a good time and Lita and the girls know how to make a guy feel welcome
  13. This reminds me of a limerick I did around 4 years ago .. the mamasan's job as a whole is one of respect and control but Obsessions' Riga is way over eager for some it has taken it's toll I enjoyed the limerick thread, but they used to drive me nuts thinking in limerick all the time
  14. Fuck-a-doodle-doo! ~ Now we're talking. As close to perfection as I could ever imagine I bet her attitude stinks though .. I'll stick with that theory so as not to feel forever deprived
  15. Might know what? .. That the girl you met on Thaifriendly but chose not to post the picture of or a link to her TF profile is actually the same girl as the one who you don't know the name of who works at Lita's Bar pictured above? It's sometimes an idea to stand in another person's shoes just for a second to get a gentle gist of how things might appear from their perspective, especially if your question is going around in circles. Nice time was had last night at Batman's party and it was well attended. As far as I could tell all the girls were present and correct apart from the delicious Patty. A few were strutting around with skirts up and tops down too, which was rather nice
  16. Fantasy Lounge is alright once inside, sitting by the front is best watching everyone else getting bothered instead of you, much better with other friends. I don't particularly like walking past it and have since stopped going to the Tikka Center next door because of it (they deliver instead). There are numerous ladyboy venues I don't bother with but I wouldn't consider it avoidance. There's one I don't bother with anymore which I used to frequent quite regularly until true colours emerged. I still have a full drinks card for it so one beer equals two should I ever bother again.
  17. I've grown out of gogo bars. Unless I'm with a group of friends and it's a special occasion I wouldn't visit either. Although the desire might grow back if I was single again
  18. I agree. Their existence and usage never really bothered me although I found it unattractive for a girl to do it, I'd rather they smoked a normal cigarette. But I don't want one in close proximity for fear of being scolded or burned by the hot parts. Around the central main bar at Sensations I thought it was a problem and it swayed your decision regarding where to sit, if there was a choice. Maybe just I'm a shisha NIMBY
  19. If only I could forecast stocks and shares movements with the same predictability as the mere mention of May, Owe or Cartoon resulting in Duke making a beeline for his snaps folder I'd be a much wealthier monkey She was definitely better pre-bolt-ons and pre-superstar status, although she never quite had that something in sufficient quantity to justify the release of any baht from my rear cargo pant pocket. Can never complain about options though. It's low season after all. There's been a great looking crew at Lita's for a while now. Looking forward to Batman's party on June 15th
  20. Amazing how things can go from bad to worse in the Land of Smiles. Another case of 'money talks'. I think I'll stay in tonight and order a takeaway to be delivered. Delivery is free so no comparison when compared to atrocities that potentially lie in wait along Soi Buakhao. Another reminder that when potential trouble is brewing in Thailand ~ walk away.
