Mick 80 years young. Impressive.

He said it wasn't his first rodeo; their first Texas gig was in 1964.   His voice is still good.

Chanel Haynes did an admirable job on Gimme Shelter and Sweet Sounds of Heaven.   Sweet Sounds of Heaven reminds me of You Can't Always Get What You Want.  Maybe it's similar chords, I dunno.

OTOH, Keith's voice on Little T&A was quite weak and although a favorite of mine it lacked it's usual energy.

Only song in the set that I don't recall ever hearing before.  Maybe they chose Out Of Time because time is no longer on their side?  Sounds good though.

Swift

Taylor Swift achieves one of the most record-shattering weeks in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart – surpassing unprecedented heights that she previously set – as she claims the top 14 positions on the survey dated May 4. All 14 songs, led by “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone, are from her new album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Three-time Super Bowl champion and four-time All-Pro Travis Kelce has signed a record contract for NFL tight ends, according to his representatives.  The contract is worth $34.25 million

Leave it to Lisa from Buri Ram to bring archival Louis Vuitton all the way to the California desert. Over the weekend, the Blackpink star accented her Coachella festival style with lots of leather, a pair of tiny shorts, and some divisive runway boots courtesy of Louis Vuitton designer Nicolas Ghesquière.

For Coachella weekend two, Lisa went for an all-black off-duty look complete with some very high-impact accessories. She flashed her abs in a cropped bra top and high-waisted black shorts. From there, Lisa layered a leather bomber on top (Coachella heads know that it gets quite cold when the sun sets) and a mini black tote from Louis Vuitton. She then slipped on a pair of the Paris brand’s “Patti” shoes which originally debuted as part of Ghesquière’s fall 2021 collection for the house. Her boots featured a slouchy, knee-high silhouette as well as a two-tone flap detail towards the front. A bright blue heel added a pop of color to the pair while silver zips brought even more of an edge. Lisa has taken a liking to Louis Vuitton in recent months, especially Ghesquière’s more abstract designs. But her latest footwear choice might be her most divisive yet—no, not as controversial as Margiela tabi boots per say, but still enough of an unexpected silhouette to raise some eyebrows.

Billie Eilish just announced her tour for next year. She's great.

Billie Eilish on the joys of self-pleasure: ‘I should have a Ph.D. in masturbation’

What was she made for? Well, “jerking it” apparently.

In a new cover-story interview with Rolling Stone, Billie Eilish reveals that masturbation is one of her secret obsessions.

“TMI, but self-pleasure is an enormous, enormous part of my life, and a huge, huge help for me,” said Eilish, 22, whose third studio album, “Hit Me Hard and Soft,” is due May 17.

“Self-pleasure is an enormous, enormous part of my life, and a huge, huge help for me,” Billie Eilish told Rolling Stone.

“People should be jerking it, man. I can’t stress it enough, as somebody with extreme body issues and dysmorphia that I’ve had my entire life.”

Overcoming those body issues, Eilish has learned to love herself — au naturel — by masturbating in front of a mirror.

“Partly because it’s hot, but it also makes me have such a raw, deep connection to myself and my body, and have a love for my body that I have not really ever had,” she said. “I got to say, looking at yourself in the mirror and thinking ‘I look really good right now’ is so helpful.

“You can manufacture the situation you’re in to make sure you look good,” she continued. “You can make the light super dim, you can be in a specific outfit or in a specific position that’s more flattering. I have learned that looking at myself and watching myself feel pleasure has been an extreme help in loving myself and accepting myself, and feeling empowered and comfortable.”

Then for the mic drop, Eilish quipped, ‘I should have a Ph.D. in masturbation.”

I refuse to click anything that shithead Musk is associated with, but I get the jest. More diversity please . That's  what made America so great in the first place.

It was a hit in the sixties with another guy Chris Farlow, the Glimmer Twins gave it away and have only recently started playing  it live.

I totally agree with @seven on Musk. It wasn't really great in the first place, but since he took over Twitter, with all his underlying ideas, I pulled the plug. Quit my account and uninstalled :rolleye0012:

About Miss Swift, whether you like her music or not, one can't denimy she is a hell of a business woman! Generating cash from about everything she does. She is breaking record after record, worth far over 1B USD!

Personally I like some of her tunes, but when trying to listen to a complete album, started to get boring quite fast because all songs sound alike. If you've heard one, you've heard them all :nea:

Why is she there? A fashion show?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13309063/Blur-Damon-Albarn-tells-silent-Coachella-crowd-sing-it.html

It was once the hottest ticket in the summer festival calendar, but Coachella is now being shunned by music lovers after becoming overrun with Gen Z influencers who don't even recognise the acts performing on stage.

This year's California-based festival - boasting a lineup including Lana del Ray and Blur - saw legions of influencers flown out by brands to pose in the desert and promote their swimwear, hair, and clothing ranges.

At the weekend, Blur frontman Damon Albarn became increasingly frustrated with the 'silent' Coachella crowd during his band's set, telling them: 'You'll never see us again so you might as well f****** sing it'.

He has been given sympathy by a member of Paul Weller's touring band who told of similar indifference from crowds at Coachella - and branded it 'not a music festival'.

Ask and you shall receive. Last night at a jazz festival in New Orleans. This must be the most stripped down plain stage they've had in ages.

OMG! Taylor has arrived. 3 sold out nights this weekend. Anything you want me to ask her, PD?

Does she have unprotected anal sex with Travis Kelce?  If she seems disease free then will she take 1000 baht for a short time?

Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back?

I'll ask though if I can get there. Stockholm is in a gridlock because of this. People from all over the world attending , many yanks.

I dont get it though, I thought Taylor was a liberal enviroment activist opposing all this air travel?

Thousands of Americans are flying to Europe for Taylor Swift – groupies are changing travel forever

The US dollar’s strong value against the euro is set to increase spending on apparel, memorabilia and Eras Tour products

The local economic impact of what the zeitgeist has termed “Swiftonomics” and the “Swift lift” can be considerable. Airbnb reported on Tuesday that searches on its platform for the UK cities where Swift is performing in June and August — Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London — increased an average of 337 per cent when tickets went on sale last summer.

In Stockholm, 120,000 out-of-towners from 130 countries -- among them 10,000 from the US — are expected to swarm Sweden's capital this month, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Chief Economist Carl Bergqvist said. Stockholm is the only Scandinavian city on Swift's tour, and airlines added extra flights from nearby Denmark, Finland and Norway to bring people to the May 17-19 shows, he said.

The city's 40,000 hotel rooms are sold out even though prices skyrocketed for the tour dates, Bergqvist said. Concert visitors are expected to pump around 500 million Swedish kroner, or over $46 million, into the local economy over the course of their stays, an estimate that does not include what they paid for Swift tickets or to get to Sweden, he said.

“So this is going to be huge for the tourism sector in Sweden and Stockholm in particular,” Bergqvist said.

The hysteria is total. She gets great reviews. Insanely big production. I talked to a couple from Wisconsin tonight, huge fans. It was their first visit to Sweden and were very very happy.

OMG. A gem from the past!

Seems like an interesting marketing idea to engage fans by having them vote on a song to be played.  I suppose there are some good songs though that the Stones won't play as it is difficult for them to perform as octogenarians.  Jagger was able to sing in falsetto on Emotional Rescue but he seemed to be struggling slightly.
