Police were called to the hotel in Soi Buakhao by the manager after a maid reported a large amount of blood coming from under the bed to her boss. When officers removed the mattress the body of an unidentified ladyboy was discovered. A couple who had slept in the room the previous night had complained of a strong smell to hotel staff and when questioned by police they said they knew nothing about the body. Thairath report two men had checked into the room on Tuesday and in the early hours of Thursday morning they were accompanied to their room by a ladyboy. The pair checked out later that day but police said the suspects were captured on CCTV and their identities know, although no further details were given. Police apprehended the teens, both from Nakhon Ratchasima, at a bus terminal in Muang Chon Buri district around noon and took them for questioning at Muang Pattaya police station. They claimed to have come to Pattaya looking for work and had befriended their victim on Facebook before meeting and taking him to their rented room at Little Court Condos. Both have admitted the killing and gave the reason that Mr Kongsong had pressured them to have sex with him and so they strangled him to death. They hid the body under the mattress hoping nobody would notice and then planned to ‘lay low for a while’ around the Chonburi area. However, cunning officers soon caught up with them. Pattaya Pol Col Apichai said officers tracked the suspects from the hotel’s CCTV footage and Amphon’s personal details given during the check-in process. He said they were still in the Chon Buri area because they had no idea where they could go to hide. The teens had a record of assault-related cases which were still before the court. Police have initially charged them with premeditated murder and body concealment.
