Pdoggg
Pattaya International Music Festival is on for March 18-20. The three primary stages are the Main Stage, Orange Stage, and Reggae & Ska Stage. The main stage has relatively well known bands such as Buddha Bless and Bodyslam. The Reggae Stage is self explanatory and I have no idea what the Orange Stage is. There are also conflicting reports as to where exactly these stages will be erected. I heard Dusit Curve, Soi 4, Soi 6, Central Festival, Near Walking Street. Guess we'll have to wait and see. I suspect that LBR members will be most interested in the Reggae/Ska Stage. This may or may not be at Soi 4. Here's the schedule for the Reggae Stage. Traffic will be a mess this weekend. เวทีเร้กเก้ (Reggae Stage) Location : บริเวณพัทยาซอย 4 (Pattaya soi 4) 18 มีนาคม 2559 | 18 March 201619.30-20.30 น. Basset Hound 20.30-21.30 น. ArchieBunker
If I lived in Pattaya, I would find an excuse to leave during this time. If you live anywhere near one of the stages, you wont have a minutes peace......Imagine having to go to Bangkok to get some peace and quiet!!! If you live anywhere near one of the stages, you wont have a minutes peace......Imagine having to go to Bangkok to get some peace and quiet!!! I don't stay anywhere near the music. But in the past Beach Road was blocked off from Pattaya Klang (Central Road) to Walking Street. Soi Buakhao became a traffic nightmare (which it has since become capable of doing every day now). It's good info to know where events are held so I can avoid traveling near those areas if not interested in the music.
ArchieBunker
I remember the good old days when I baht bus ride form Soi 1 to Walking Street would take all of 5 minutes!!! That was anytime day or night!!!
Kahuna
I can honestly admit I have NEVER heard of any of these musical, and I say loosely talents. Get out of your room Tex there is plenty of talent.... And try and remember that we are all just guests..... The famous Da of Endorphine from a couple years back.......... Not only hot but also talented.......... Every time I watch this video, I hunger for Thailand..........And a pretty warm brown skinned body....... xyzzy
The area's to avoid if you not into music basically all of beach road , jomtiem calling for me . Thanks for the map jeffs. In years gone by they attempted to make 2nd Road a two way street when Beach Road was closed. Not sure if they do things like that anymore. Also the heat index has gone way up in the last week of so. I just went out to get my laundry and it was like getting slapped in the face by the heat index. Going to be warm rocking out in a swarm of people. But having said all that those that do go enjoy yourselves. I used to be a concert person once upon a time but guess I'm too old. Unlike young man Kahuna. I remember the good old days when I baht bus ride form Soi 1 to Walking Street would take all of 5 minutes!!! That was anytime day or night!!! Back when they used to charge farangs 10 baht for a ride and Thais only paid 5?
