Can't seem to find it though so figured I'd start a new thread. Think it's really dangerous as an overdose could have serious consequences. Have any of you ever been given or think you've been given knockout drugs? Anyone take precautions against this. This just happened on Saturday. On Saturday afternoon a drowsy Israeli was assisted by a Thai woman at a Bar in Walking Street after she spotted the man and realized he needed assistance after he claimed to have been drugged and robbed by 2 Ladyboy’s.Khun Amporn aged 39 and her foreign boyfriend were drinking at a Beer Bar on Walking Street close to Soi Diamond when she spotted Mr. David Yanis aged 24 stumbling along the street. Initially she assumed he was drunk but it soon became clear that he may have been drugged. She helped him into the bar and called the Police.Mr. Yanis told officers that he had earlier met 2 Ladyboys and he thinks that medication to induce sleep may have been placed in his drink. He remembers little after meeting the two Ladyboy’s who are alleged to have stolen his Necklace and some money.Police took Mr. Yanis to Hospital and later took him to Pattaya Police Station to file a Police Report. I had been drinking with some mates who left a while before closing.........there were not many patrons left when this attractive GG (Definately not a ladyboy on that first trip it was 50/50 LB's and GG's)came to say hello and told me that it was her birthday but her Bf had left her for a younger woman....I would say the scam artist was bout 30...........and would I have a drink with her.so I said sure. She went off to the bar in sight of me and bought a beer each in a bottle and came back and we proceeded to drink them. Although I had had quite a few I was not really drunk hence remember everything.......normally I drink slowly and she was encouraging me to drink up and we could go to my hotel....... We duly did that and she checked her ID in with the night manager went to the room where she went off to shower and I sat on the bed starting to get undressed...and here it begins to get hazy.........the last thing I remember was thinking fuck she is taking a long time...... I only came to my senses and able to think straight 3 days later..........yes 3 days....... scary 20% of my holiday in a drug induced coma. Naturally i went to see the American owner knowing that they had taken The GG's ID and had cctv in the hotel passages and foyer. Unfortunately he made me feel like the criminal implying that i had probably taken drugs and instead of going through the cctv footage to have a look at the girl he showed me wandering down the stairs naked........very embarrassing and he toldme I was lucky I had cooperated and put a towel on when they escorted me back to my room............I have absolutely no recollection of any of these events. Essentially the GG had found the key for my safe and stole my cell phone,my credit card,a world currency card and about 3000 Baht in cash.....although she tried to use my cards she had been unsuccessful so the biggest loss was my phone with all it's contacts and pics in it.......... Plus of course my pride and confidence........... When I asked the owner what he thought I should do he said that he did not know me and if I took drugs or not but if I wanted I could go to the tourist police.No offer to call the police or take me to them. When I summed it up I decided just to leave it alone in case the police tested me and decided I was the criminal. Ultimately I was unharmed and very little of value was taken,the world card people had my money transfered to a local bank within 15 minutes of reporting it to them. I do suspect that the Thai Night Manager may have been in cahoots because when I asked him about it he acted as though he had never even heard there had been a problem..............he was also the only hotel worker I have ever come across who made a derogatory remark about ladyboys to me...but that is another story. I had stayed at the hotel in question having read good reports about it on one of the other LB forums. I have never taken drugs...have no interest in them and am clueless what may have been used to knock me out like that...but as in almost anywhere in the world would suggest one needs to be extra vigilant in night clubs. I remember going there, I remember being asked what I wanted to drink, I really don't remember much else. I only had a mouthful or so before I had to get outside. The next thing I remember was waking up in the Penthouse with someone next to me who I have no recollection of talking to. Apparently I went back to Ezy Bar (it was a long time ago), friends thought I was drunk, somehow I was able to walk the few hundred metres back to Soi 13/1. I was out cold for 13 hours & when I woke I had no memory of anything after Walking Street. I do recall the bar was so busy that my beer was passed through several sets of hands before I got it. I suspect something was dropped into the bottle while it was being handed over. In fact, I am sure that's what must have happened. It was very scary & I am so glad the other party hadn't tried to rob me.
