duke007 Posted January 6, 2014 Author Share Posted January 6, 2014 Its New Years Eve, and i thought i would start the new thread today, as i can't vouch for my state of mind tomorrow! Well 2013 turned out a lot better than 2012, which was disastrous, and i wrote my opener a year ago in the depths of despair. But thanks to some fantastic support from all our customers, in particular BMs, and an extra bit of assistance from our Elite Club who helped with a bit of a refurb, we've come through better and stronger. My sincere thanks to all who visited our establishment in 2013 and helped us get through. Another tough year ahead, i think, with a lot of problems in Thailand, and a looming credit crunch for the whole of SE Asia. The upside is that the baht will continue to decline, thus giving travelers extra spending power. The downside is the danger of the region's economic troubles spreading across the globe. I just hope for your continued support in 2014. Be sure, we will continue attempting to offer you one of the best LB venues in Thailand. Having some issues on my pc with the Interpol Virus, so pictures may be slow in appearing for a day or two from me, but hopefully others will get us up and running after our celebrations tonight. Hopefully its just the end of Super-High Season, and others will arrive to take up the slack. The bar's been very busy during showtime, but these tourists tend to have one drink, watch the show, and leave. There's nothing like a few BMs to keep the place buzzing. I read earlier where tourist numbers are down 80% in Pattaya due to the Bkk troubles! 80%? Surely not? I almost feel sorry for The Sewer! But i keep my fingers crossed that our bubble doesn't burst too soon, otherwise its going to be a very scary Low Season.
