bumblebee
So this must be how Dave Duke felt last week getting up early to catch a special event I think to myself as I drag my still tired body out of bed prematurely early on my day off. In his case it was the Olympic Torch passing through his area, for me it is a quest, accompanied by Jimslim to find some or even one ladyboy, mostly likely from the Philippines at the Dublin Pride parade. I arrive at Dublin bus station just in time for the arrival of the Belfast bus, which is running a bit late, like myself. Three guys come charging through the arrivals door, one draped in a rainbow flag and hearing that distinctive North of Ireland accent and I know the slim man cannot be far behind. Sure enough there he is, the first time I have seen him since last November in Los. It's unusual to see him without Ciobha, there again one of the 3 fagaroonies who arrived a few moments earlier with the rainbow flag and headed straight to the toilet did look a tad like him. Could it be....... Jimslim and I both need to take a leak and so it is we gingerly head downstairs to the bogs, and can hear the giggling of the Ciobha clone and his mates as we approach. One of them is fixing a rainbow coloured mohican wig on in the mirror, while the others sort their appearances also before heading out on to the mean streets of The Fair City. I finish first and head out and wait for my companion, loitering outside a mens' toilet with all these gay guys milling around is not the something I usually do on Saturdays, honestly readers. Jim finally emerges and the quest begins.

bumblebee
Jim is feeling a bit peckish so we head over to nearby O' Connell St, the main thoroughfare in Dublin for those not familiar with the city, and near the starting point for the parade. We pop into Supermacs, an Irish fast food joint that does the full range of tasty junk food. Jim gets a cheese burger meal, I pass as I have eaten only an hour later. We grab a table beside the window, so we can keep an eye on the comings and goings of the parade goers, and a local seagull joins us, not the kind of bird we plan on meeting, but hey it's a start. "Food" out of the way we stroll up the street and the place is buzzing. Lot's of people with various rainbow accessories are filling up the pavements but damn it's looking like rain, well it is summer in Ireland. We get a good spot about 50 metres from the start of the parade, if any LBs are in it we are sure to spot them from this vantage point. My spotting sensor is a bit rusty after being away from Los for almost 4 months, but it feels good to be out on the street again on the hunt. When you are standing there, hoping against hope on a windy street in Dublin on an overcast summer's day that you may spot an LB, you really appreciate how easy we have it in Los. Anyway the parade begins and time to get our beady eyes scanning.

Jimslim
Anyway the parade begins and time to get our beady eyes scanning. Yes it took a few minutes to get the radar working again it must have been a little rusty . Pretty soon our steely eyes were picking out the odd - possible/maybe/definitely , the radar was in full working order again .
4:17
King size fag ... lulz. Reminds me of the time back when I was a young man slinging drinks and an Irish visitor to my bar -- this is in the conservative heart of the States mind you -- asked me if he could "pinch a fag." Confusion and hilarity ensued. Curious to see what you two found ...
bumblebee
The parade is the second biggest in the country after, not surprisingly the St. Paddy's Day one and this is the first one I have ever managed to attend. Although it is quite colourful, as one would expect, there is just no sign of any LBs of Asian extraction.
bumblebee
We watch it a while more, before deciding to following it across to city in the hope of stumbling upon something of interesting watching it from the sidelines.

Jimslim
So the pretty ones as in the last pic of Post 10 are lipstick lesbians, not ladyboys? These things are fairly complex PD , between pretend lesbians , girls who look like men and real girls who look like drag queens one can easily be thrown off course . Ah for the simplicity of Thailand .
ciobha
No PI Ladyboys on view, but a few shaggable tranny's, if you had a few beverages down your neck, ahem. BTW, thanks for the invite ya coonts. :sad0116:
bumblebee
Hold on gents, we are not finished our quest yet. I will finish this in the next hour or so. Ciobha is was a bit too gay for you, not your cup of tea at all.

bumblebee
Not being men for giving up, we decide on one last throw of the dice and head to the concert on Merrion Square on the off chance that maybe we have missed something in passing. As we stroll through Merrion Park, trying to find the exit to the gathering, a figure appears on a slab of rock, and informs us we are going in the wrong direction. "Oscar" we reply " we know, we have been going that way for years", he smiles knowingly to himself and tells us to enjoy the trip.
bumblebee
We manage to find an exit and join the crowds listening to speech makers and some singing. We scan the faces and spot a few bits and bobs, but not what we are looking for. We did see one passable indigenous femboy/twink who caused a bit of localised blood pressure down below for both of us. Anyway time is pushing on, so Jim suggests taking a walk around the city centre and head out to my home town. As we pass the security barriers and leave the concert area I notice something in white behind a wall. As we approach things begin to look more and more promising with each footstep and suddenly there she is, Molly Malone with a schlong, on the phone to some friend. I ask her if she is from the PIs and she nods yes while continuing with her phone call. She seems a bit busy, so Jim and I decide to walk a bit and come back and find her when she is finished her call. Wrong choice and we fail to find her again.
