williethepimp
willie, since you insist on trying testosterone, I would advise you not to buy anything on the internet - a great deal of those "pharmacies" sell fake drugs. You could try getting some on your next visit to LOS - I am not sure if they have gel or patches, you could give them a try. Make sure you take out an insurance policy for someone you care for if it goes balls up, and you don't do this without monitoring or having a physician guide you. By the way King Faisal is long dead, the King of Saudi Arabia is King Abdullah, and all Saudi Kings had a full team of some of the best medical doctors taking care of him. Having worked at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyahd, I've seen them in action. Thanx rxpharm, surely there must be a few bona fide suppliers on the net? ....I won't be going to Los til next Winter at the earliest.... I am not foolhardy, but I think one has to take a few calculated risks in life ,and the risk to me is minimal.I recently had a comprehensive check up,and im perfectly healthy.I think one can be overcautious and miss out on so much. rxpharm
Willie, unlikely as testosterone is a classed as an anabolic steroid, so is treated as a restricted drug. A bonafide internet pharmacy would not be supplying this without a prescription from a real, verified MD. A fake pharmacy would have no hesitation to sell you a fake supply and you have no recourse. You are right there are risks to take in life, but you should should also be prepared if the risk turns out to be true. It is possible to end up on the wrong side of the odds, but if you consider that to be worth it, it is your choice. I know when I worked in palliative cure, I've seen plenty of patients spend a fortune on "miracle cures" and deprived their family of resources when they died anyway. There's controversy regarding Steve Jobs who early on in his disease decided to try alternative therapy, when traditional chemotherapy/radiation would have been more effective. Dramatic I know, but you should be aware that because you're healthy or have plenty of resources, you are not immune to problems. Quote Link to comment
Flatpack
Willie, You do take chances when buying off the net, most drugs bought this way are made in underground labs, ie somebodies garage. Usually they will have an amount of testosterone in them but where they fall short is in the oil that the test is suspended in, this can range from peanut oil to castrol gtx (only joking on the castrol) but I hope you get the point. I have tried many over the years some were good some were bad, it wasnt until that I bought pharma grade roids that I realised I had been wasting a lot of time and money. Why dont you drop dwbno1 a line, hes going over in a few weeks and im sure he would pick you some up. Quote Link to comment

strocube
Willie, if your doctor won't prescribe testosterone, can't you just go anther one who will? That's the option I would explore, given that ordering it online could be very risky, or just a waste of money. Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
willie's situation is that he has normal testosterone levels for his age. There would be very few doctors who would be willing to prescribe testosterone for patients that have normal levels - think malpractice lawsuit. Quote Link to comment

It doesn't work like that in the UK.Changing Doctors aint that easy, and another one wouldn't give me testo without checking whether my levels were low or not. willie's situation is that he has normal testosterone levels for his age. Correct,I also think in the UK doctors arent as aware of all the beneficial side effects of testo supplements,as they are in the US. Quote Link to comment

This is a big help in understanding some of these things. One, so called expert, will say one thing and the next thing you know, you hear the sad tale about a bloke who took it all to heart and over did it. Your input is greatly appreciated. deepthroat
Just saw my doctor this week and asked her to look at my lab results to see if there's any testosterone deficiency. My only worry is I also checked the box for "has sex with both" (men AND women) and told her I'd like a full STD and HIV screening as I "did some things in Thailand I've never done before". Hopefully she won't get my results and decide that I obviously don't need testosterone therapy (despite the lab results) since I'm a fucking lech. Quote Link to comment
SiamSam
As long as you didn't tell her you know me then all is cool. Quote Link to comment
deepthroat
Too late Sam, they made me fill out the "names of sexual partners" portion of the questionnaire before they'd admit me. 1 Quote Link to comment
anthony70
Every trip, i make it part of my routine to buy strips of andriol testocaps and take two tablets a day. i look at it like a sex vitamin. when people talk about side effects, have you seen the side effects of alcohol and cigarettes.? one of the side effects of alcohol is it will lower your test levels, so whilst on holiday, it think it wont hurt to top them up. you can buy an injectable from TOP pharmacy, and any clinic will inject you. you will feel a diference, wake up with a hard on etc.... also, testosterone is a natural product, where as sidenefil isnt. when you see extreme bodybuilders, they are taking an extreme amount of steroids. sometimes stacking a few diferent ones at the same time, hence the extreme side effects. but a sex tourist in thailand for a month, getting injected once a fortnight, is pretty harmless. and well worth it. rxpharm
That advice may be fine if you're otherwise perfectly healthy, but to go ahead without any kind of physical/lab testing before trying testosterone may be asking for trouble. I would still advise anyone who wants to use it to have the advice of a reliable physician first. If at the minimum to rule out that it would worsen any pre-existing conditions. Just because something is "natural" doesn't mean it has no harmful effects. Quote Link to comment
Hefe
This has been interesting to follow.... I have never had any ED issues in my life at all, in fact just the opposite: lil' Hefe has had the habit of popping up at the most minimal encouragement, not bragging at all, just background. I've recently ended my 60th year & I can feel a profound change in my sexual metabolism, hardly ever horny, once, or twice, a week will do me just fine, more seems like a bother hardly worth it. On the other hand I seem quite content with that, as well as being a lot more easy going & less angry or ambitious & all round calmer & I really like that part as well. I didn't think I would be so content with a lessening libido, but testosterone really affects a lot of other areas. I think if it lessens more (does that make sense?), I will see a Dr about testosterone therapy. I might also try a vitamin V for the first time next trip after my second experience to see if that'll change my attitude. Quote Link to comment

SiamSam
Hefe, Try vitamin Cialis instead. If you get a 20mg tab cut it in half along the C of the pill. I find it a lot milder in terms of side effects than Viagra. In fact I notice no side effects with Cialis and suffer a few with Viagra. Furthermore the 10mg (half) of Cialis keeps me going for 4 + days. I have no problem achieving an erection however maintaining it is the challenge as we age. Cialis helps a lot in that department. I think you'll find that you've forgotten what an 18 year old hard on is like and might be pleasantly surprised to be reacquainted. By the way, I am the same age as you and I concur with what you said about being calmer, more patient, less ambitious, angry, et cetera. I rather quite like it so there is some truth in the saying: "If only youth knew and age could." Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
A recent warning issued by Health Canada following a study that testosterone increases cardiovascular problems.    Heart risks from testosterone replacements flagged by Health CanadaHeart attack, stroke, blood clot and heart rate problems identified with use of testosterone replacementCBC News Posted: Jul 15, 2014 3:00 PM ET| Last Updated: Jul 15, 2014 3:00 PM ETTestosteroneHeart attack risk increased after testosterone therapy in one study. (Erin Siegal/Reuters)Testosterone replacements can increase the risk of serious heart and blood vessel problems, Health Canada says. The regulator said 12 testosterone replacement products are available, such as Androderm, Andriol, Delatestryl, Androgel, Axiroin, Depo-Testosterone, Testim, and their equivalent generics.■Study shows testosterone therapy doubles the risk of heart attackMen use the products because their bodies can’t make enough testosterone."Health Canada has recently completed a safety review on testosterone replacement products," the department said Tuesday."This review found a growing body of evidence (from published scientific literature and case reports received by Health Canada and foreign regulators) for serious and possible life-threatening heart and blood vessel problems such as heart attack, stroke, blood clot in the lungs or legs; and increased or irregular heart rate with the use of testosterone replacement products."Health Canada said it is working with manufacturers to update the product labels to describe the risk.It also reminded the public about safety information on the use of testosterone products:■They should not be used in men for non-specific symptoms if laboratory tests have not been done to confirm a low testosterone level and other possible causes for the symptoms have not been excluded.■They should not be used in children under the age of 18 as the safety and effectiveness has not been established in these patients.■They should not be used by women.Patients should be assessed for cardiovascular risk factors before starting testosterone therapy.  It has become quite popular for older men to start using testosterone as a "fountain of youth" drug, but there are risks involved so a complete work up should be done before starting as well as periodic monitoring. 2 Quote Link to comment
strocube
I was taking that stuff for a while. I stopped. About the only difference I noticed, was that it made me use more deodorant. Because I smelled like goat all the time. That, and it made me a bit agitated. Did not notice any improvement in libido. In fact, I found it made it almost impossible to cum. Nice big woody, but no finish. After looking at all the potential health risks, and my current health insurance not covering it, I decided it is not worth the risk or the hassle. Still have a box full of syringes. The one good thing is, that I learned how to give intramuscular injections to myself. So there's that. 1 Quote Link to comment
williethepimp
ive taken the andriol testocaps by mouth.....ive had injections twice a week and recently ive been using the testo gel....(when in Los)...the testo gel costs approx 1500 baht and lasts for ages....i wont bother with the injections or the testo caps any more.....so many advantages to the gel...its absorbed thru the skin......no need for a visit to the clinic for the injection(thereby saving 100 baht per trip)....can be used daily also......(well i do) and its never been a problem..... 1 Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
williethepimp, glad to hear you haven't had problems, so far, but I would suggest you are checked periodically. Cardiovascular problems can develop without you being aware until it's too late. Also it's a good idea to have your levels checked periodically to be sure you are not overdosing. Recommended doses or doses you see on the internet may not always give the same results for each person. Â Periodically doesn't mean every month either, once your levels are stable and in the normal range probably 2-3 x a year is sufficient unless you experience some physical changes from illness/stress/injury, etc. Quote Link to comment
Kahuna
Listen to RX guys...He is the resident expert and knows of what he speaks...I had the test and luckily my results were in the normal range...But my doc at the time told me that even if my results had shown that I was a candidate for testosterone replacement therapy he would have tried to talk me out of the injections (the method used by the Veteran Affairs Hospitals here)........Unless you are experiencing some very bad symptoms it truly ain't something you want to mess with...You gotta take some care with what you put in your body... Â Thanks Rxpharm for the sage advice....... 1 Quote Link to comment
rxpharm
Thanks for the vote of confidence Kahuna. A lot of guys will dismiss this advice saying plenty have tried it with benefits. The problem is that very few will post if they do experience problems. This recent study that was published outlines the risks. While I won't say it is high risk, there are issues with using testosterone that people should know about and take precautions. Â The other thing that many don't realize is there is a placebo effect and that occurs with most drugs. Studies have shown that it can be up to 30-40% of a drug's effect, if the patient believes it will help. Quote Link to comment

rxpharm
So you think I'm pulling a fast one? It's your decision after all, and it is pretty clear to me you've made up your mind. If you want to bother a summary of the study is here: UCLA newsroom . You can judge for yourself if this if a fictional study or not. By the way, I didn't mention use of HGH, that's another topic - but since you're the expert, I'm sure you can post a new thread about it. 1 Quote Link to comment
