  1. Just to correct you. According to Petesie, he does not own the bar called New Bar. New is the name of his life partner. Nice lady!. She owns the business according to him. Fantasy Bar or lounge, call it what you will if you want to be pedantic like calling New Bar , Petesies Bar, according to you does not have many lb's. What do you call not many?. Unless they have reduced the staff numbers lately they always have about 15 to 20 on duty during the evening. More than DELIRIOUS, more than NEW BAR. Don't know about Old #7 Bar. Did not go in there. Just got confirmation on the number at Fantasy Lounge.
  2. Could be true, but you joined in 2 years after it started and after the Japs ruffled your feathers. Actually you continued this discussion after I pointed out that the US is about the only country playing American football and only a few more playing baseball. I think that says something about those sports. Lets give it a rest.
  3. Ok New Bar. Like New, but not the other "owner" so much. Girls are better that what they had before. KRU's went there some time ago and it was ok. Cindy's, another ok bar Delirious. Herbert makes that bar. Girls ok too CIB The best!. Great girls, June knows what she is doing. No mention of Fantasy Bar here. Oh well.
  4. Well. You seem to be clutching at straws. A bunch of ringers?. They had never played American football before, and home field advantage??? Played on a field with probably 100 people watching!. Wow! Also the Yanks were probably not as fat as their successors are now so cant use that as an excuse.
  5. Hardly VN bashing, just passing on the advice I was given by the hotel. Give it a rest. You have no idea why I stayed only one night.
  6. Some have, but only for the kicking duties, so like a lot of NFL players they play for a total of about 5 minutes per game. They probably prefer a game where thay play for 80 minutes rather than about 10 for NFL players. I think I have said this before but my father was in the airforce in WW2 and they arranged a game of American football against the Yank airforce team. The locals were given a brief rundown on how it was played. The Yanks had their normal breaks between plays discussing tactics, while the locals just wandered around wondering what the hell was going on. Anyway the final score was a victory to the locals!. I guess it was lucky that the local team consisted of a lot of top grade Rugby players,(including my father).
  7. You mean you would allow such behaviour on your premises Emmy?
  8. Hardly, you cynical person. It sounds like you have had an experience or two living in that part of the world?.
  9. Where do I start?. I think your last sentence infers baseball players as being athletes?. And the best?. Mmmm. As you say baseball is played in a few countries. Maybe because to me it is boring. Yanks talk about cricket being boring, but it leaves baseball in the dust. There is a World Cup going on at the moment ( limited overs game),with a lot more countries involved than that which play baseball. It also has a hard ball bowled at the batsman at sometimes 90 mph and bouncing off a hard pitch. Sometimes at knee height and sometimes around your head!. The fielders also stand very close to the batsmen when slower bowlers are in action and have to duck if the ball is hit in their direction and they cant catch it. Oh, and they dont wear catching mits. Bare handed!. There are sports that don't spread across the world very much for whatever reason. Take Australian football for example. Really only played in Australia and in some states here is a religion. I try and make sense of it but it eludes me. Some very strange rules involved. It does take a very large area to be played on so that is a restriction. There are many discussions re sport and its ranking in the world. We all have our choices. Rugby Union also has a World Cup going on at the moment. (Come on the Kiwis).
  10. Have a listen to Miss Grande and Taylor Swift singing, Don't Dream it's Over, ( Crowded House from downunder?). A very good cover.
  11. Ah, the World series. Just in case someone thinks that it is an International event, forget it. As John Cleese once said." When other countries run an international series, they invite other countries". In this case it was setup and named by the guy that owned a newspaper called The World. Nothing to do with being an international series.
  12. Maybe, but the only time I have been warned about taking the right taxi was in HCMC, and that was from the hotel I had booked!.
  13. On having a second look I think the planes are Italian. Except for the Biplane which looks like a Swordfish torpedo bomber. Seems to be missing the propellor!. The others are a bit ugly. At first I thought one was a Boulton Paul Defiant fighter/bomber but maybe not. I Used to know all of those, but memory slips with age. What a bugger!
  14. Nice photos, but forget the blonde ones. Doesn't suit Thais. Can anyone name the planes in those shots?. I can name a couple of them. One being a fighter bomber.
  15. I still regard that photo as being "priceless" Has stood the test of time. Not just because of the subject matter, but it is the girl. She was around before I became interested in Lb's but when I saw her photos, she jumped to the top of the list.
  16. I think my over 6 year relationship with a lb qualifies as long term. Finished now but we still talk. Her relationship with her father always seemed ok. I dont know whether I was filling a void,(excuse the pun), with our connection. It did not seem to be that way. It was emotional and also that I was filling the financial void that the family had. All out of work through covid etc.. Anyway, not my concern now even though I still miss her. Have another connection now, but that is strictly financial. She does the job for me, ie she keeps me connected with the lb world while I am far away. Girls that leave their homes in Isaan or Laos etc., must have times of loneliness no matter what is going on around them. Maybe we compensate a little?.
  17. And you being the font of all knowledge?. In you own mind and by your posts!
  18. Now I have this from a friend, ok?. It is a room with devices that some consider pleasurable, some consider punishment. The " treatment" is administered by technicians trained in the art. Sometimes humans emit noises from that room, suggesting that something is happening . I will repeat, I only know about this because "someone" told me.
  19. I have only heard about it, honest!
  20. I have only heard about it ,honest
  21. Could be meaning the Red room where all your troubles vanish and are replaced by whips and chains! Problem being that it is hired out for short periods. You could not stay there!
  22. These days Tradies lives are spent 50/50 working and on the phone. It is a disease.
