    Razors

I have been using the Gillette Mach 3 for years and am satisfied with it, although I have been considering a change. I was advised by a gay barber of the three cardinal rules of a good shave to prevent ingrown hair issues (which I get from time to time), cuts and abrasions, and skin irritation. His advice has worked for me when I stick to it. 1. Sharp/Sterile Blades: Use the best and keep them clean. I dab my blade with a cotton ball lightly soaked in alcohol before each use, but not while still wet from the alcohol. I can get about 9 good shaves from each Mach 3 blade, and my beard is moderately thick. 2. Clean and Open Pores: If skin pores are not clean and open when you shave then you are much more likely to have a bad shaving experience. Gently wash your face and neck with a clean and soft facecloth before each shave to clean the dead skin and whatever from your pores, and to massage the hairs to loosen them up prior to shaving. He also suggested to use a gentle, moisturizing soap for the facial wash. 3. Shave Slowly: I hate to shave and want to get it over with as soon as possible, but I have learned to take my time and be extra careful in those areas of my face and neck that are susceptible to problems. Here's my shower routine: Sterilize blade with lightly soaked cotton ball and place it on the sink surface (face up) to dry while I take a shower. Gently wash and massage my face and neck with soft moisturizing soap and soft facecloth during hot shower to help open and clean my neck and facial pores. Slowly shave immediately after taking shower, applying moderately hot water and a modest amount of natural moisturizing soup to face and neck instead of traditional shaving cream. I don't use traditional shaving cream because it's expensive, environmentally unfriendly, and usually contains ingredients that irritate my skin. If I have to shave without taking a shower I wash my face the same way I do when I take a shower, with moderately hot water. I will sometimes soak a small towel or facecloth with water and nuke it in a microwave for 30 to 45 seconds and apply to my face first to open the pores. I won't have a bad shaving experience 97.6 % of the time if I stick to these rules and this routine.
  2. xyzzy and I were together. I am a member of CLB and xyzzy used one of my guest cards which then entitled me to my discount. The two staff behind the bar did indeed have no clue about what to do. Annie sorted it out with no problem and we both got our 20% discount.
  3. A few snaps from Jen's birthday party last night. Fun party.
  4. Hmmm. Fascinating. But one wonders if it's perhaps better to be considered a 'body' transplant as opposed to a 'head' transplant. Why would someone want a new head as opposed to a new body? Then again, I can think of quite a few people, some on this forum, who would be better off with a new head.
  5. I believe her name is Many and she is affiliated with LadyboyGold. Not sure where/if she works in Thailand.
  6. This is making the rounds on Fakebook.

Beautiful indeed, and true--can't turn back the hands of time. Now on my iphone too.
  8. I recall one of LBR's BMs telling me of an encounter he had with a fellow at Sensations not too long ago where a guy he had begun to chat with at the bar asked him who he is on THE FORUM. The LBR BM responded that he did not belong to or read any LB forums. Upon hearing this, the guy snobbishly walked away post-haste.
  9. Is this thread still going? If so, I have a question: Which state in the United States has the longest name? Your answer must correctly state the official name of the state.
  10. When I was married several years ago, I regularly wanked to LB erotica. Fortunately for me, my ex was/is a very open-minded and cool chick. One day she noticed what I had been doing on my laptop because I neglected to clear the history. She teased me about it and then we had a good shag.
  11. Great 5000th post, sir. As someone relatively new to the forum, I will say that LBR would not be LBR without you. Hope we can share a cold one some day.
  12. Have never been to a live show, but it's on my list of things to do in the near future. Really enjoy this bit from the movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert:
  13. It better be a good one. The pressure must be overwhelming.
  14. Same for me. Charles Schwab is a great bank for international travelers as they refund ATM fees worldwide.
  15. I grew up watching Looney Tunes cartoons and was partial to watching Sylvester trying to eat Tweetie. I am a fan of felines as well.
  16. You two are certainly estimable chaps, among other things . . .
  17. That is revolting, but I imagine there are some BMs who go for that kind of sleazy room. EDIT: What is that smeared on the mirror? Ewww.
  18. I showered before and after both short-times! It goes without saying when doing short-times, na?

  20. Welcome, blackyellow. Your budget is plenty if you pace yourself and don't spend too much on lodging. I have no doubt some experienced forum members would be happy to have a few beers with you and be your wingman when you visit. I certainly would if I am around. Start saving your pennies and just do it.
  21. Now that's an excellent idea, Mr. Cox. I'll get right on it. Stay tuned.
  22. February 29? Your previous post re Jen's birthday says February 1.
  23. Doesn't matter to me so long as they are feminine.
