it's been terraformed by the Chinese with half of it knocked down, all the nice old haunts mostly gone and a while back about 20,000 worker bees facilitating gambling from the hotel rooms of the MANY MANY skyscraper type hotels filled with Chinese tourists. Whole different place, I'm sure a quick search on youTube can say more. The Cambodians I believe, banned gambling and then Covid hit so it's likely full of big new structures and Chinese signage everywhere making you feel like you're in Beijing or somethin. Tho you MIGHT be able to find some girls, but likely most of em boogied up to Siem Reap or over to PP. Spose if you really looked, might be a few in Kep or Kampot.

all this tricky lying bullshit gives me fits. I booked a room at one place at Thong lor...they accepted my reservation. Then, weeks later CANCELLED IT. The other night I see it listed again with a number in front of the name and a new look in the lobby. Got sold I guess, new owner deleted all the reservations and started making new ones. Booked out the rooms I wanted. Hit Agoda...reserve 3 days nearby, no problem, but no lock box OR locker and in an area not handy to food much and no flippin 7! Cancelled, they said no prob, BUT sometimes the place will make charges anyway tho it usually takes only a week or two to get refunded...usually? WTF ? did I sign up to be a short time investor? Next just called a place I booked for a few days later...some good chat with the manager, said can I come by the noodle shop, and pay you for a few days before my other booking? No problem, great :) I'll have some noodle soup TOO (the place was favorable reviewed by the Roaming Cook, years ago before he started the youTube thang). Really distrust these lying scheming middleman bastards. Probably won't use them again unless I get a MUCH better rate than walk in. One time I did that at the suggestion of the check in clerk :) She said it's cheaper if you book online, can do it now. Screwy.

yes, this is very important information :) I know a girl who used to work at Star Bar, there were a few other ladyboys there, not sure it it's open again. it's kinda boring in that they don't do much but drive to places, get a good hotel and then eat too freaking much, BUT it's comfortable, there's no conflict, or arguments, it's pretty mellow and they're mostly likeable. (maybe I'm the only one that don't like how CM pimps out his gf on all the thumbnails). Seems like he made a boatload of bux selling his biz. I figure the hotels are partly for youtube views, seems everyone loves looking at condo's and hotels. And the food, you gotta have lots of yummy eats spread out on a table. What makes me chuckle is part of his intro...Be Unpredictable. Right, he's gonna order a cheeseburger or they're going to a Mexican resto, they're always gonna stay in nice hotels, many of which look pretty much the same (overlooking a pool)...and so on :) I like that town they live in, maybe I'll go check it out this trip.

Scotch is too much like perfume. Makers Mark IS good. My fave is Dickel 12 which is aged 12 yrs, but the regular Dickel is GOOD too. For avg. everyday I'll order Jim Beam. Some of the cheap bourbons are actually pretty good. I gave up all that fooferall about mixing. Bourbon, glass...ice. Years ago I lived in an old (150 yrs) house built on brick piers about 2 feet high. Kept my bottle next to the easy chair on the floor...which was cold :) Worked for me haha. Always wanted to try Willie Nelson's bourbon, Whiskey River I think, sposed to be good. Bourbon is now about as crazy as ales. Trendy. Still, I'd rather have Early Times or some cheapie than ANY Scotch. Well a very fine one might work, that single malt stuff. If yer a spirits pussy try blended Canadian "whiskey" light flavor, disappears even in 7up. p.s. Dickel is "tennesee sour mash whiskey"as is Jack Daniels. Some others are kentucky sour mash whiskey but all these are basically "bourbon". Sour mash is when you take the run out mash from an earlier run and put it in a thumper keg where the new run (the alcohol going off as vapor) goes thru this thumper keg and gives it a different flavor. The technical requirements for "bourbon" are at least 51% corn and aged in oak barrels. Pretty loose seems to me. It's a bit like the champagne/sparkling wine debate. hit Kayak the other night in a "private window" and fares are now closer to 2000 or close to it. American Airlines too. I was always suspicious of cheap flights around the time I booked. Many offered them but there was a lag time between their claimed cheap flight on Kayak and the acual fact. I'd hit the book flight button, it'd shunt me to the airline that would tell me that flight is no longer an option and offer one 500 bux more. LOTS of flux back in june/july and even after. At this point 1500 is OK with me. Plus the dollar is pummeling the baht :) Piggie...3 hours won't kill me, just get on the plane a little earlier and my ride is fine with it.
