  1. ^ You got that right buddy! Remember the Ampatuan Massacre? Scores of journalists and observers murdered by the Ampatuan militia, simply because a candidate dared to run against one of the clan in a local election...
  2. I visited Davao City around 2009 and Duterte was the mayor. I remember the city being relatively clean and no stray dogs. I had a few casual chats with the locals and remarked that I like the fact that Davao was safe and no litter. They proudly gave the credit to Duterte for cleaning up the city- literally and figuratively. I have no idea what will happen with regards to mongering but since I'm not a thief, a drug dealer or involved in politics I think I'll be fine. Personally I don't care if there are cops posted on the street every 20 feet. Duterte in fact makes no secret that he is a womanizer and doesn't shy away from Vitamin V, hehe.
  3. I didn't go to that park while I was in BA, but there are YouTube videos about it and it looks interesting.
  4. I made a visa run to KL and I stayed in the Bukit Bintang area. There were many mainland Chinese girls offering "massage" (I suspect they upsell the customer in the room, hehe) and also a fair number of ladyboy freelancers. I chatted with some Thai ladyboys and they shit them selves when I spoke thai with them. WeChat is a good hunting tool; just search for people nearbye and hook up I'm not really a foodie, but I did pig out on the chow: Malaysian, Indian and Chinese cuisine, all with in walking distance from my room.
  5. 555! My Central and South American trip wasn't a mongering trip; it was more one of exploration and looking for long stay countries/cities. (other than asia) In general I find Latinas to be super hot, so of course there are some gorgeous LBs, but I didn't hook up with any. I didn't make it to Brazil but its on my list...
  6. Argentina is fun and the steaks are juicy. Its better now that the new government has allowed the peso to float. I didnt monger there the lbs I saw there on the street looked hard as nails...
  7. I've used the yellow taxis several times and never had a problem with the driver using the meter (but I clarify that as soon as I get in.) If I recall correctly, I was charged 115 pesos from the airport to the Five Star Bus terminal at around 0500 hours. Not all busses go by Dau now, some stop at Marquee Mall. The drivers/conductors are very helpful, so tell them you want to be let off at Dau. If they don't pass by there, ask them to let you off at the Marquee Mall jeepny terminal. A trike for there to Fields will cost you 250 pesos- so I'm told. A trike for Dau to Fields should be about 100 pesos, depending on your negotiating skills. Enjoy!
  8. Personally I fucking hate Songkran and used to exit the country for a month and get my pork adobo fix in Angeles City. But check it out for your self and decide. After the first Songkran experience it can get old, really fast. On the other hand: Sawasdee pii mai!
  9. I remember one ladyboy approaching me as I was walking in to a 7-11. She towered over me (6' plus 6" stilettos) and greeted me with a low, husky "Where you go darling?" I ran like a hunted rabbit, lol! I've been with a few ladyboys that didn't have "naturally" feminine features, but they had long hair, wore makeup, dressed as women and behaved lady like... Yeah, I guess I like the illusion, 555.
  10. I like 'em girly with long hair. A ladyboy with a guy type haircut just doesn't do it for me. I'm not being critical of the guys that like that, just adding my two satang...
  11. I know what you are saying, but they don't care- there is always another sucker coming down the pike, lol. If you see a girl that you are interested in, chances are that she also advertises on Thaifriendly. Another strategy is to send a polite message stating that you are in Thailand now, you know the price and is she interested in 1,000 baht short time.? Some times you will get a vitriolic reply (death threats, her police general brother will arrest you, etc.) Other times they will reply with a reasonable counter offer. Being in Thailand makes a big difference because they know you are serious and not a time waster. Another possibility is if they give their number in CL, text them and say your friend recommended her to you. As other have pointed out, the girls are usually looking for the big score on CL.
  12. John, even a comma error could result in a lynching :) (Joking Buddy) I've seen a few local newspaper articles about the new "Green" City being planned near Clark, but mostly just announcement type stuff to create intrest. About Fields being cleaned up, I wouldn't hold my breath. I like it here but corruption is a problem. (As in funds allocated for civic improvement mysteriously end up in off shore bank accounts.)
  13. Thanks TC. Yeah I'm happy here, but then I'm pretty much happy where ever I'm at. When I reach the "Tipping Point" I board the airplane and sky up... After 10+ years in Thailand, seven months in Central and South America and now seven months in the Philippines, in my personal experience I would sum up the expat lifestyle as: "Same shit, different day", lol!
  14. Nice report. Yeah in AC, Phillies is Ground Zero for free lancing LBs :)
  15. Well, Ive pretty much settled in at Angeles City. I bought a used bike (only 1.5k kms!) and I've made two trips to Subic/Baloy Beach and one trip around Bataan, following the Death March. Ive been dating a non P4P ladyboy and she just bought a used car. Guess who is her Driver's Ed teacher?
  16. BB is up to his old tricks, throwing money around like a drunken sailor. Goin ruin it for us pensioners.... Joke lang :)
  17. I love 'em in war paint, the more the better, hehe
  18. Give me Mouth Moy bar and Thaifriendly, WeChat, Line or Tinder freelancers any day :) I've met some good guys at the LB bars and I've also met some morons. I used to introduce myself to the owners but I don't bother any more. I would think that it would be in the owners interest to welcome a new customer but I've never had that experience in a LB bar. There are so many sycophants praising the joint that the owners begin to believe in their own legend. Aside from that, LB bars are perfect in every way and any one that disagrees should be banned, 555!
  19. Yep, when it starts out bad, in my experience, it never gets any better. YMMV...
  20. I'm with you buddy- I view the bars as a business and the working girls as, well, working. They are both there to separate us from our money, and that's fine, I know they are not charities and need to earn a profit... I just don't want over pay. I think as an expat, time is on your side and LB/GG bars are less important for finding a partner. During my last trip, I did around 17 short times and paid no bar fines (paid one BF for a beer bar GG, long time.) I agree that it is fun to hit the bars with a buddy, take in the eye candy and (try) to relax. If I were coming to Thailand on vacation, I would probably be praising the bars, thanking the owner for being my "friend" and advocating that the bars are a valuable resource for we mongers and we must do all in our power to support them. Different strokes for different folks, hehe...
  21. For me attitude is number 1, even for ST. I don't care how beautiful they are, if their attitude is poor, I pass. Now a plain/unattractive girl with a hot body and good attitude? Hell yes, I'm in!
  22. Better to be a Cheap Charlie. Its just a control tactic and they say it because it too often works. I'm a Cheap Charlie by choice; hopefully I'm not stupid...
  23. ^ Yeah, soon the apologists will chime in "There is more to this story." Always amazes me how some guys will blame the foreigner and defend the locals. The alleged perps look rough as fuck and wise punters know that when crack heads get pumped up on Ya ba, it never ends well. RIP to the poor Brit, 28 is way to young to die.
  24. "Hon, I'm trying to control myself to you" I'm beginning to understand Pilipino English better and the above quote means -sorta- that a certain LB is really into me, but she ignores me to protect her fragile self from heart ache. Yeah, that's the ticket... Background: a typhoon is lashing out at Bicol but the tail end here in Angeles is a rather mild 48 hours ofsteady rain and a few more days of the same is very likely. And that's bad for a freelancing girl's business. So I'm getting txts and Viber/WeChat messages from little Princesses that usually won't give me the time of day. Now the skeptic in me screams out that its all about money, or lack there of, but I'm ashamed to say I was totally wrong. At least according to several Angeles City prima donnas. Said ladies are having nearly uncontrollable feelings of love, lust and true friendship towards me, due to the sudden change in weather. Wet cool weather makes em love us even more my fellow mongering friends. The LB making that poetic quote who ignores me most of the time to protect her heart. But mix in some rain with cool weather and she just can't fight her true feelings for me any longer... So the next time you feel ignored by the lady you have set your eye on, give her the benefit of doubt, dear readers, because she is only coping and trying: "To control herself to you"
