  1. Thanks so much, bbg. My lawyer will be talking to yours . Look, I had a really nice time at Katty Bar the night I met Pokki, so I'll live on that memory, and life moves on. I'll certainly be over to Jomtien on my next trip down.
  2. Woodie, I always try to look at the good times. (But yes, you're right). Catch you on your next trip, hopefully. And "Then" can become "now".
  3. Very interesting, Pdoggg. Good news, and many thanks for the news. Now if only the Aussie dollar would go up too!
  4. This is a good idea, SP. And I just joined the Zaza club; though with all my visits I feel I've been an unofficial member for years, . Look forward to the posts.
  5. SP, you know I enjoy the seedy side of life, but these pics that Annat posted, and what you've said about the village and the farm, etc, certainly give a balance to life in Thailand. I'm sure you'll have a great time up at the farm.
  6. I have a friend who lives in Korat. Luckily it was a Buddhist day yesterday, so horse racing postponed to today - and that is held in the army base (apparently not the base where the shooting kicked off). My friend usually goes to Terminal 21 on his way home from the track, and may have got more than a pizza, it seems. A sensitive guy (not) - he told me this morning there might be some specials in Foodland this afternoon. Seriously, it will be interesting to see what comes out of the situation, given all the rumours flying around.

    Coronavirus

I gave you a "like", seven, because of the link you posted. I feel for the doctor, whose only crime was telling what he'd found (and which came out, despite the censorship).I've become very cynical of late, so what any investigation into his life brings into the open remains to be seen. Thanks for posting mate.
  8. This bar really appeals to me - Soi Chaiyapoon; virtually opposite Zaza massage and Chaiyapoon Inn (where I stay when in Pattaya). I look forward to your updates, SP, and to check it out on my next trip down.
  9. Rom, I acknowledge your post in response to mine, thank you, but I think you've gone over the top a little. Whether Jim posts here, or does not, is his option (and why should he be expected to?) And your personal history is of no concern to me - so I will move on. Best wishes to Sweethearts, Jim and Cindy.
  10. Rom, I don't know you, so I have no personal axe to grind. But it seems you have some personal grudge against Jim and the bar. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion (even you), but the way you've gone about posting does you no credit. I've been to Sweethearts, and for me the music, the staff and the atmosphere has always been good. Jimbo has been a good host, and I am not a big spender. What about wishing Sweethearts, and indeed every bar, success in these troubled times? Personal attacks - no.

    Coronavirus

Who would know, strocube? I remember reading how crook you had been - maybe you're fitter than you thought, and your body fought it off. Whatever, I hope you keep well now.
  12. Great photos, SP. And you've even got the fence up already. It looks a lot like our fence actually. I'm glad your plans are working out - so happy for you and Dao.

    Coronavirus

Thanks for the link, mate. Frightening to think a country would cover up the extent of the situation as described in this article. Let's hope for the best possible outcome.
  14. I'm proud to be associated with Zaza - even if only as a customer and friend. If you want to post one, I'm happy to be part of the Zaza family. Despite Woodie's comments, 555. Zaza is certainly well worth visiting, as I've said before.
  15. Aaaah the memories. It was a great party - I enjoyed the music and, of course, the company. I'm shattered that I didn't make it into any of the photos, but there were plenty of better subjects to look at. Which is why Zaza is so popular. Again, best wishes to you and Dao, SP. And thanks for your hospitality.
  16. As per the above, SP. Great you are here now and a new chapter begins. Best wishes mate.
  17. I'd like to add my congratulations to the above posts too, SP. Great news, and my best wishes to you both for many happy years ahead.
  18. I've had 3 goes at writing this. The thread is Delirious Bar. I don't drink alcohol (now) but have been in the bar on 2 visits to Pattaya and enjoyed the company of the staff, and bought lady drinks for my companions. All I can say is that I've enjoyed my times there and will go again on my next trip down. All the best to Herberth and Som.
  19. I never knew the original, Arch. It must've been good to be better than what I discovered in the Rajah, which sent me on the path ..., but the Darkside gave me some great times.
  20. Talking of novice LB chasers, I went in to Guess (in the Rajah complex, soi 4), and it opened my eyes to the LB scene. I had no idea what sort of bar it was. And while i went back a few times, my favourite (defunct) bar would be Darkside - happy memories, including Rabbit saying "do you want to put it in here?" And Gate (I think) posing for sexy lingerie photos when her tackle slipped out and she got all embarrassed. If only we could turn back time .....
  21. Best wishes, strocube. Your pic says it all. Good you've got some medical attention, and hopefully you'll be hot to trot very soon.
  22. I'd echo SP's words about the photos BB. In fact I might put in a bid for the blue plastic chair - especially if Paxky will sit in it again. Zaza is great, and I can't wait to get back down there.
  23. I'll take you, SP, if you promise to stop Dao being angry at me for leading you astray. But yes, we could stick our heads in the door for a couple of hours .....
  24. I'm sorry I read this. I'm an Australian, and we, New Zealand and ROK were there too - not just the Americans. I was there 1966 - 67, and those who died did not deserve that.Of course war is not good for either side - too many people died and/or have had their lives ruined. What I do respect is your right to your views, strocube, and for that I have no problem.
  25. For me, looks are important, but attitude is also a factor, so I do tend to balance them out. Looks alone are not enough - I have a horse racing friend who says that looks are everything; and then the horse runs like a three-legged camel. Apply that to performance in the loom - and even after all the thinking, chemistry and some luck play their part too.
