  1. We were walking in Imperial World in Samrong the other day when a lass from one of the clinics rushed the lady I was with to get her to take their treatments for skin whitening. I was proud to hear the response: "No, he likes my skin dark". Nice to be on a winner.
  2. I don't exactly disagree, Sam, and the fact that it still has an impact today suggests you are on the money. But as a boy in Australia in the 1950s, Bill Haley & The Comets (Rock Around The Clock) had a huge effect on the music scene, and i think inspired a local guy Johnny O'Keefe who became "The Wild One", so I'll put that up as important too.
  3. You've hit the nail on the head, BB. Why are we in the bar??? To enjoy ourselves. Of course the bar has to make money, as do the ladies, but that shouldn't impact on the bar's patrons. Do you think the ladies perhaps don't understand the effect these things have on us?
  4. Some locals are polite; even asking a friend who knows "what is his name?" (in Thai); one guy has called me "You" over the past 5 years (but he is friendly with it) and yet several people whom I've known well over the same time, who consider themselves Hi-so, still refer to me as Farang. So what is my take on it all? I don't take it seriously enough to be offended, or upset, but I'm bloody sure that when we go back to Australia all my friends and family will use her name, and not call her "the Thai"
  5. pacman, that is just brilliant (IMO). Many of the new age, smart-fart words piss me off. Maybe I've just become a grumpy old bugger.
  6. Rx, a big thank you for not just the interview, but the insight into post-ops. It has certainly made me review my thoughts and feelings. Mutual enjoyment, whenever possible, doubles the pleasure for me, so I shall explore the post-op scene with a new outlook. Thanks again.
  7. Yes, welcome, wowcock, and I agree with Sam - because I have to start somewhere, so appearance is that start point; someone who appeals to me. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they say. Then if all goes well, especially if we both enjoy it, its a win/win on both counts. But if it doesn't go well, next time I would probably still choose a lady who appeals to me physically, and see where we go from there
  8. I thought I'd seen everything before ...... but now I think I have.
  9. I just looked at your profile, mj, and I never would have if you had not posted in the forum. Sadly I feel I'm too old for you, as well as being in a (so far) long term relationship, but I suspect many younger guys would love to be in touch with you, given that you are so lovely; and more posts would only be of benefit to all. Good luck in your quest - hope to see more from you here.
  10. I prefer standing at the bar, especially if there is a foot rail, but given the two choices above, I'll go with a stool.
  11. Thats a very good observation, JustSumGai, and shows again that the law is wrong. Even a manly man with man-boobs (and many men have them) wouldn't suffer the same fate as these unlucky ladyboys. I suppose the police were acting according to the law, as they saw it but maybe downgrading the fine from 5,000 to 500 bt shows they could see what we see.
  12. Sam, these are just brilliant. At first I thought you'd put it all on the wrong thread, so the joke was literally on me.
  13. I was out in Bangkok the evening / night of Saturday 12th, and down soi 4 (Nana) the war had started already. Made it to the Darkside without being soaked, but apparently some people (farang) buy their water cannons and use them straight away, regardless of the time or date. Calmly waiting for the 17th now; but obviously in Pattaya it would be later than that.
  14. Many thanks, bkkldby - you've given me a new direction in life, and I'll play pool as often as possible. Just sorry I couldn't stay longer last night, but hopefully next time. A pleasure to meet you.
  15. Had a fun couple of hours in the bar last night; great to see Fatcat back in person, and its so nice not to be under pressure to buy lady drinks. In fact, the only pressure was to play each of the ladies at pool and I enjoyed that. (and I bought drinks anyway, because I wanted to, not because I felt pushed to do so). I also met 2 well known members at the bar, and was sorry I had to leave early. Got a nice darkside polo shirt though, and promised to be back after Songkran. Great bar, atmosphere and people.
  16. Locked in my home to keep out the water from Songkran for the next 3 days, I'm enjoying all these jokes, and I hope more will follow. Man in bathroom with tool in hand is not necessarily a plumber.
  17. In answer to your last posts: 1. your avatar is absolutely lovely; and 2. sick jokes welcomed by me - British humour sits well with me (its the Aussie link, apparently). I'll look forwatd to whatever you can provide.
  18. mj, you have made some interesting comments, and generated a few from other members too, and I think it is fair to say that this is what the site is about - opinions, comments and so on, rather than a tranny dating site that you mention. I am just a member, not a staff member - so it is a personal view only, but I think it is good that a wide variety of posters put forward their views about anything; the underlying point of view being that most of us love / care about ladyboys. So may I say thank you for being part of the site, and I for one hope you will stay with us.
  19. Agreed route67; we have recently seen quite a few posts saying how enjoyable (or other positive expressions) this forum is. If the wheel isn't broken, don't fix it, and I don't see a better wheel as yet.
  20. Yes from me also, welcome back Fatcat. From the look of the pics you're in good shape - and hope you keep well until I see you next time. Meanwhile I'll browse the previous posts again (and again)
  21. First time was in Sydney in 1965; I was on an army training course and we had the night off. There was no second thought about it - just went for it. $4.00 (2 pounds at that time) plus taxi fare. Got a "bonus" golden shower as well (I think she had to go anyway, lol) and it must have taken all of 20 minutes, including the taxi ride. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Regrets afterwards? well, only how much money I've spent, but enjoyment seldom comes free, and life without enjoyment isn't much of a life.
  22. Yes - it must have been the Aussie in me that stuck with "Grandad". Never mind, I'll just battle on with Papa. Thanks Duke; lucky she won't read this, or my name will be Mud.
  23. I've now started a LTR (we'll see how long) and my name has become "Papa"; so much so that even her friends, now my friends also, have picked up on it as if it was my real name. I don't like it, but I have been called far worse things, and so far the benefits outweigh the name. I suppose at my age it could've been "Grandad", so I just go with it.
  24. Thanks for the link, very useful info for my next trip "home"
