  1. Some years ago I found by looking in the yellow pages of the phone book (Escorts ... or some variation of that) there were many to pick from. Call up and tell them what you are after. Good luck with your search.
  2. Keep them coming BB. Nothing like a good laugh. (well, almost nothing)
  3. Yes, BB. I'm the same. Makes it much easier than having to login every time.
  4. From the first time I went to Darkside, Chris made me feel as if we'd been friends for years.I met him several times and he was always the same - even with the health issues he had then. I bought a Darkside polo shirt one night, and he joked that he hadn't got himself one yet. I've still got the shirt, and wear it. Sad to learn of his passing; yet hopefully he is at peace now.
  5. Yes BB; so true. Sorry I missed you as I was late getting down last week, but I'm still smiling at the joke above, and from my few days visiting Zaza. Not sure when you're going back, but enjoy the rest of your stay, and safe travels.
  6. The very best of luck to Dao for the Miss Nong Khai pageant. I'm sure she will do well.
  7. I just tried it on my other half. She kept looking at the Thai, not the English, and even after explaining it she never got past "can".
  8. I look at new content almost every day. No problem. Then today I get a message that I haven't logged into LBR for 30 days .... so, I try to log in. Cannot do it as before. Am I doing something wrong? (computers and I are not friends)
  9. Many thanks, duke007, for the posts. Good and interesting they certainly are, with some classic lines (an example: "... no sense putting lead in your pencil if you've no-one worth writing to ..."). Can easily be amended to the ladyboy scene. I like his laid - back delivery too. All in all very enjoyable
  10. Bangkok Bank charge 220 baht fee for a "foreign" card.
  11. Poesface, will you have the World Cup Final on in the bar tomorrow (Sunday) night?
  12. I'm very pleased that the rescue operation was successful, and the time the 13 were trapped in the cave must have been horrendous. I only hope that, along with the "don't forget my birthday" and "cook my favourite food", etc etc, and all the rewards being showered on them, they are made aware of the enormous effort that went into saving them, including the death of Saman Kuman, and the need to be responsible in their future lives. This is not to be mis-read as laying blame; but I do hope proper counselling is given to the 13. That is the least that the rescue team deserve, to go with the praise already given.
  13. Tex, I just read this; and saw your "Why not" post also. After what looked to be a great time at the bar (see photos), an unlucky way to finish up. Wishing you all the best; a speedy recovery and a big cheer for the nurses (and I'd guess doctors too). Get well soon, mate.
  14. I was put off by the facial piercings (I presume that's what they are) above Lizzy's mouth. As I've often said, to each his own, but for me no matter how the rest of her stacked up I couldn't get past that. So it was an easy choice for me (and I'd go with Isabely in a flash).
  15. I'm with you Tex. Isabely for me too. No contest
  16. I'm limited to Bangkok, and I did enjoy times at Guess Bar (Rajah complex); but my best times were at Darkside (I still have the white polo shirt) until it closed. Now I would have to rate Why not as my favourite. Had one great night at K r us in Pattaya, but hard to judge just on that one time (maybe I should do a re-run).
  17. As I've often said, to each his own. But I agree with Tex - I don't drink that much either. So I voted No.
  18. Yes, the outfit is great. And is she hot? Oh yes, very much so.
  19. In Bangkok there are 2 tracks: this Saturday racing is at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club at Patumwan. BTS to Siam, walk down Henri Dunant Rd and you're there. Admission 50 or 100 baht (different gates). Heaps of people selling race books along the way. The following Saturday (28th) it's on at the Royal Turf Club (now sometimes known as the Bangkok Jockey Club) at Nang Leung (and I've seen 100 spellings of that) - BTS to Ratchathewi (one stop past Siam), go downstairs to the corner of Petchburi Rd, get a motorbike taxi (40 baht) to the track. Post time for the first is around 12:20. Usually a 10 race card of different grades; last race set for around 5:40, but being Thai time I've seen the last run in the dark, like after 6 pm. English language form guides available. (100 baht). Royal Ascot it is not, but it is an experience. I've not been yet to the track in Korat, but it is near the town, on the military base there. A sand track similar to the old Albion Park track in Brisbane (for Australian readers). Form guides there in Thai only, I'm told.
  20. Yes Tex. Horse racing is on every Sunday in Bangkok (unless it's a Buddhist day, in which case it switches to Saturday). there are many form guides and race books in Thai (of course) but you can buy an English version for 100 baht. Betting is only on course, and only on the tote (totalizator) - apart from the illegal bookmakers. There are other tracks outside Bangkok too - Korat, Udon Thani and Chiang Mai have racing too; Korat is a sand track and races every week. It's an experience to go racing in Thailand. Win or lose, I enjoy it.
  21. To each his own, azza33, and I hope you do enjoy the "mayhem".But I'll tell you what, it's Sunday here in Bangkok and I'm off to the races. If some smart (make that dumb) prick tries to spray me with water, or smear powder on my face, I'll stuff my binoculars down his throat. I think it's fair that people going about their own business get some consideration; and those who want to play can play. Yes, I agree that it's a bad time for talent, but soon it'll be back to "normal"; hopefully the horses treat me well enough so I can be "normal'' again after Songkran is over. Great photo though.
  22. For me, Songkran is a pain in the arse. Dressed up (well, neat casual) to go somewhere and getting sprayed with water is not my idea of fun. And idiotic farangs who go over the top are the worst offenders imo. And plastered with powder too. No thank you. The traditional celebration seems to have gone; so for me I'll be staying in my own space until it's over. Midnight 16th can't come quickly enough.
  23. When I called in to Why Not last week, I walked past Henry's at about 7:00 pm. I can't add to what poesface said about the rooms, but I'd guess that the food is good too. The dining area was almost full. Maybe a feed there to start the night, followed by a one minute walk to Why Not. If I get the chance later in the week I'll give it a test run.
  24. Just popped in for an hour or so tonight. Early, the bar was quiet, but still no pressure from any of the girls. But I found Katty a real charmer. Sadly I couldn't stay longer, but will be back for her. I'll go early again; I'm really looking forward to spending time with her.
  25. Looking forward to the party this Saturday (24th), and it should be a great night at Zaza. Best of luck to Stoolpusher, Dao and staff, See you about 7:00 pm.
