The cost of housing is definitively high in London. But I've only ever lived here so I suppose I take it for granted. I think we kind of get used to where we were brought up and think it's a great place to live, but maybe because it's where our family and friends are. I couldn't move anywhere I don't know anyone. That might be because I am quiet, and don't make new friends easily. Anyway the people in Manchester have strange accents, and from what I hear it rains a lot up there!

I like London despite all it's problems. I went to Manchester last Sunday for the march to the Tory Conference to protest against the cuts, and I don't think it was any better (or worse) than London.

Not an internet tv show Rukki. Sky TV made two series for the UK, Ladyboys and Ladyboys 2. I don't drive now either mardhi, so I'm not sure but I don't think you can park free anywhere in Central London at any time now. And apart from the parking charges you will have to pay the Congestion Charge (£8 I think) for entering Central London.

Got to keep your wits about you on the mean streets of London too. Maybe not so many holes and steel bits sticking out of the pavement, but you have to dodge the preoccupied idiots walking along blindly, reading or sending texts on their mobiles. When I get back to London after a trip to los, everything, pedestrians and traffic seem to moves a lot faster. Takes me a few days to readjust.

I saw a program recently about rich investors from abroad buying up property in London, and they mentioned Thailand as another place where new developments are being sold first.

I was watching a tv program about pub and club doormen called 'Bouncers' the other night. It was set in the 'pink triangle' of gay bars and clubs in Newcastle. There was one bar called Eazy Street, which has a transvestite night on Wednesdays. You can google it for the location if you want to try your luck there. The ones they showed did look a bit rough compared to the los ladyboys though.

I think we all have some empathy with the ladyboys and treat them as well as we can given the contradictions and difficulties in a p4p situation.
