Some attempt to excuse racism and personal abuse as banter or 'British' humour. But it shouldn't be allowed on public online forums, and isn't on most. Yes we all have different opinions and everyone is entitled to their views, but they should be expressed in a reasonable non-abusive way. I agree that posts are often misunderstood. It's more difficult to get the way a written post is intended than when we speak to someone face to face and can judge their intent by body language and facial and tonal expression. Even where we speak a common language there can be cultural differences which can cause misunderstanding. I often don't get what an American or Australian is getting at although we both speak English. (Canadians are ok Soju!)

First, I agree 99 % with your post. Yes, it's brutal, but I won't write again or copy all that Rom posted about their brutality. When you're a mod, you can't defend clans who don't respect basic rules of life in society to destroy people whose opinion you don't like. Kim Piggly Wiggly ain't a Thai man. So the situation is not really a a situation in Thailand. BTW, I have seldom been in Thailand since then. You can post in a forum you like green ladyboys while I like purple ones. On the Brexit thread one BM posted the flag/insignia of a neo-fascist UK group, 'Britain First'. This was not removed by the moderators. I'd like to add a post to this TR. As a matter of fact it's a summary of someone else's TR. The guy had asked me for information in another forum in a "Foreign" language, ie a language different from English. Local guys are fond of imported Latinas and are either jealous or not interested in ladyboys. This agressive behaviour encourages the minority to resort to PM exchanges rather than posting in the forum.
