  1. Mr T Taxi, arrive at my place, unpack, shower, out to 7/11 purchase Sim Card, down to Sunee plate of Khao man gai (good taste glogetrotter) , whilst partaking in a fine Carafe of Red Wine, followed by G&T's "saying to myself, it doesn't get any better than this ", out into walking st, out and about around town and finally knocking on Big Eileen's door where I am sure She will roger me senseless and I will have the biggest smile on my face then walking back to my place, thinking "yep I'm back"

  2. The flights I have available to me usually either arrive in BKK around noon or midnight. If I have a noon arrival I take my time to unpack, get shampoo, etc and get organized. If I arrive around midnight I dart through the shower and hit the streets ASAP and get into whatever mischief I can.

  4. Nice find! At 13:25 you can see one of the TT Currency Exchange locations. At 15:25 is the fantastic No Name joint for delicious eats. It's the place where one of the waiters has a limp. But if there's lots of customers who haven't yet been served and you're very hungry you might want to give it a miss. Arroi

  8. So it's your first day back in SE Asia and you have been thinking about this moment on and off since you left for home on your previous trip. Do you have a first day routine of things you like to do so get into the grove of being back for another adventure?

  9. Thai guy who looks like a farang, I reckon his papa is farang was massively overcharged at a Krabi tourist attraction being forced to pay the Farang price of 200 baht instead of the Thai price of 20 baht. So he took to Facebook and it's going viral. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=848044111959755&set=a.652137051550463.1073741836.100002625228865&type=3

  11. A pilot on an overnight flight from Phoenix to Boston had a medical emergency and died, the airline has confirmed. The American Airlines flight landed safely when the co-pilot took over the controls and diverted the plane to Syracuse, New York. The airline is "incredibly saddened" and focusing on the pilot's family and colleagues, a spokeswoman said. Flight 550 left Phoenix before midnight on Sunday and landed on Monday morning. The pilot appeared ill during the flight, prompting the diversion, said Michelle Mohr, the spokeswoman. A new crew was sent to Syracuse to fly the passengers to Boston, where they arrived on Monday early afternoon. There was never a question about whether the flight would be able to land safely, said Ms Mohr. "We're certainly well qualified to handle situations like these," she said. "That's why you've got more than one pilot in a cockpit." There were 147 passengers on board

  12. Thats why I am certain they landed with two people in the cockpit. Pilots dont take a dump without a checklist, its a redundancy. It might seem simple even silly but thats so there arent any steps skipped!!!! From what I heard it sounded as if his death was quick. However I cannot believe that the crew didnt do all they could to save him. Planes are so packed and small these days I am certain anyone paying any attention in first class would know something was amiss-like the defibrilator going into the cockpit. That would set off alarm bells, wouldnt it?? I dont know if they left him in his seat or removed him. I would be curious about that. It sounds as if they left him in the cockpit somwhere. The first thing people would ahve done was to take cell phone video. I am surprised that video hasnt emerged. Its quite sad but it does happen people pass away on flights. If you think of how many flights are in the air at any given time, its the law of averages isnt it? I think this was an overnight or "red eye" flight. I doubt there would have been deadheaders (crew on duty but not working flying as passengers) or even pass riders (crew flying stand by either to get to work or for pleasure). This isnt the type of flight that would ahve these types of personnel on them. I am certain the landing was fairly routine.

  14. The very first thing that I do is see if the wifi is working properly. Then I take a shower. Then I slowly unpack the luggage I brought with me. The next couple days are spent taking care of things that need to be done such as banking, immigration and slowly unpacking stuff in storage. Boring, I know. If I was only in Thailand for two weeks I might rush down to Soi Half A Dozen.
